Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to investigate: (1) the interaction effect between PGPR biostimulant concentrations and phosphorus dosages on the growth and yield of black soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril), (2) the individual effect of PGPR biostimulant concentration, and (3) the individual effect of phosphorus dosage on the growth and yield of black soybean. The research was conducted in Bentiring from November to March 2025. A factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed, consisting of two factors. The first factor was the concentration of PGPR biostimulant (B), which included: B0 = control, B1= 10 ml/L, B2 = 20 ml/L, and B3 = 30 ml/L. The second factor was the phosphorus dosage using TSP fertilizer (P), consisting of: P0 = control, P1 = 125 kg/ha, P2 = 175 kg/ha, P3 = 225 kg/ha. These combinations resulted in 16 treatment combinations, each replicated thee times, yielding a total of 48 experimental units. The interaction between PGPR biostimulant concentration and phodphorus dosage had a highly significan effect on the number of root nodules. The PGPR biostimulant concentration had a highly significant effect on the weight of 100 seeds, fresh root weight, and dry root weight, as well as a significant effect on the number of root nodules. The phosphorus dosage significant affected the number of root nodules and had asignificant effect on plant height at 28 days after planting, number of leaves at 28 days after planting, and harvest time.

Abstract

Background: Nurses working in inpatient wards are required to deliver continuous and comprehensive nursing care. This condition often results in a high workload, which is frequently associated with an increased risk of burnout. Burnout among nurses can negatively affect their well-being, job performance, and the quality of patient care, making it an important occupational health issue in hospital settings. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between workload and burnout among nurses working in the Malaqbi 2 and Malaqbi 3 inpatient wards at the Provincial General Hospital of West Sulawesi. Methods: A cross-sectional study design was employed, involving 46 nurses selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire consisting of a workload measurement instrument and a burnout instrument adapted from the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Data analysis included univariate analysis to describe respondent characteristics and variable distributions, and bivariate analysis using the Spearman correlation test to examine the relationship between workload and burnout. Results: The findings revealed that the majority of nurses experienced a heavy workload, while most respondents reported mild levels of burnout. Statistical analysis showed no significant relationship between workload and burnout (p = 0.200), although a weak positive correlation was identified between the two variables. Conclusion: The study indicates that nurse burnout is not solely influenced by workload but is also affected by other factors, including individual characteristics, work environment, and organizational support. Hospital management is therefore encouraged to implement comprehensive strategies focusing on workload management, psychological support, and improvement of the work environment to prevent burnout and enhance nurses’ well-being and quality of care.

Abstract

The Hajj pilgrimage is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, obligatory for every Muslim who is physically and financially capable. As the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia faces significant challenges in managing the Hajj pilgrimage for its citizens. This study analyzes the Hajj management policies in Indonesia, focusing on the differences between Regular Hajj, ONH Plus, and Puroda Hajj, as well as the impact of Hajj loan schemes and the illegal practices of selling Hajj packages by travel agencies. The results indicate that the policies implemented by the Indonesian government still face various challenges, including long waiting lists for Regular Hajj, high costs for ONH Plus and Puroda Hajj, and risks associated with the sale of Hajj packages using non-Hajj visas. This study provides recommendations for policy improvements, including revising the queue system, stricter enforcement against illegal practices, and exploring alternative financing options that do not impose long-term financial burdens on pilgrims. It is hoped that these findings can contribute to the development of more effective policies in managing the Hajj pilgrimage in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research examines Mahabharata epic puppet (wayang) comics, created by three renowned comic artists: R. A. Kosasih, Teguh Santosa, and Gun Gun, who respectively have Sundanese, Javanese, and Balinese cultural backgrounds, through the lens of Indonesian identity articulation. The comics of wayang which translates ‘puppet’, are a distinctive genre that employs panels to depict puppetry tales. While being influenced by foreign cultures such as American comic art and the Indian Mahabharata epic, these artists intentionally incorporate Indonesian elements into their works. This is evident from 1955 to the present. This research used a critical qualitative descriptive approach to investigate the articulation of the identity discourse within the cultural realm of comics. The comic works of the artists are analysed through articulation and hegemony theory. The research concludes that the artists’ works establish a cultural connection and relate cultural comic art to Indonesian readers. This not only constructs Indonesian identity but also promotes cultural diversity.

Abstract
