Abstract

Forest honey is a natural product derived from the nectar of wild plants and is known to contain various bioactive compounds, such as flavonoids and phenolics, which contribute to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potential. Buton Regency in Southeast Sulawesi is recognized as a producer of forest honey; however, scientific studies on its biological activities remain limited. This study aimed to evaluate the free radical scavenging activity and anti-inflammatory effects of Buton forest honey through both in vitro and in vivo approaches. Antioxidant activity was assessed using DPPH and ABTS assays, while anti-inflammatory evaluation involved inhibition of BSA protein denaturation and a mouse ear edema model induced by xylene. The honey exhibited IC₅₀ values of 71.69 ± 2.73 mg/L (DPPH) and 49.23 ± 4.24 mg/L (ABTS). Its protein denaturation inhibition showed an IC₅₀ of 14.17 ± 3.18 mg/L. In vivo testing demonstrated that high-dose honey significantly reduced ear thickness in mice, with a percentage of inhibition comparable to diclofenac sodium. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences (p < 0.05) across most parameters. These findings indicate that Buton forest honey holds promise as a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen students’ understanding of basic mathematical concepts through the LIMA (Latihan Intensif Matematika Asyik) tutoring program at SMPN 3 Majene. The implementation of the program was motivated by students’ low conceptual mastery, particularly in integer operations, which hindered their learning progress. The activities were carried out in three stages: preparation through observation and socialization, implementation using the LIMA Module that provides structured exercises and intensive assistance, and evaluation through the “hiking evaluation” method designed to be more interactive and engaging. The results showed improvements in students’ conceptual understanding, confidence in asking questions, and learning motivation. Overall, the LIMA program proved effective in enhancing students’ mathematical comprehension and can serve as a relevant supplementary mentoring model for strengthening basic concepts in schools.

Abstract

This study explores how destination image, memorable tourism experience (MTE), and tourist satisfaction influence revisit intentions to Rammang-Rammang Tourism Village, South Sulawesi. A survey of 380 tourists was analyzed using PLS-SEM. Results reveal that destination image and MTE significantly affect revisit intention, while tourist satisfaction serves as both a direct predictor and partial mediator. These findings suggest that strong perceptions and meaningful experiences, when reinforced by satisfaction, enhance tourists’ loyalty. The model shows moderate to strong explanatory power, with predictive relevance confirming its robustness. The study contributes to tourism behavior literature by demonstrating the mediating role of satisfaction between image, experience, and loyalty. For practice, it emphasizes the need for destination managers to align promotional images with authentic experiences, improve infrastructure and services, and design participatory community-based programs. Such strategies not only strengthen revisit intentions but also support sustainable tourism development in Rammang-Rammang.

Abstract

Based on the 2024 report, the Airpura Community Health Center experienced various unresolved health issues, one of which was the Adolescent-Friendly Health Service Program (PKPR), with an achievement rate of 36.78%. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Adolescent-Friendly Health Service Program (PKPR) in the Working Area of Airpura Community Health Center, Pesisir Selatan Regency, in 2025. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological design. This study was conducted in the Working Area of Airpura Community Health Center, Pesisir Selatan Regency, from June to September 2025. The informants in this study consisted of the Head of Airpura Health Center, the Head of the Nutrition Unit, one midwife, two PKPR program holders, three community health volunteers (kader), eight adolescents, and eight parents as companions. The results of the study show that the PKPR program at Airpura Health Center still faces challenges in terms of input, including limited human resources, facilities and infrastructure, funding, and suboptimal health promotion. In terms of process, planning and implementation have been carried out with cross-sector involvement; however, they are still hindered by limited time, low adolescent participation, and insufficient parental support. In terms of output, the PKPR program has provided positive impacts in the form of increased knowledge, participation, and healthy behavior among adolescents, although its overall effectiveness remains limited. In conclusion, the PKPR program has been beneficial but remains suboptimal in terms of human resources, facilities and infrastructure, funding, and health promotion. Recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the PKPR program at Airpura Health Center include strengthening the input aspects through enhancing human resources, improving facilities and infrastructure, and optimizing health promotion. In the process aspect, structured planning, efficient implementation time, increased adolescent participation, and stronger parental support are required. From the output perspective, routine evaluation and program innovation are needed to ensure more optimal impacts on adolescent knowledge and healthy behavior.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia has great potential for traditional medicinal plants which have been used for generations to maintain health. However, the utilization of home yards as productive land for Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) is not yet optimal in many areas, including Konda Satu Village, South Konawe Regency. In fact, TOGA can be a source of herbal ingredients that function as a preventive and promotive effort to boost the body's immune system. Therefore, the activity of Socialization and Utilization of Village Land for TOGA Planting was carried out in Konda Satu Village. This activity aimed to increase community knowledge about the benefits and cultivation methods of TOGA, while simultaneously optimizing village land that was not yet productive. The implementation was carried out through counseling and direct practice of planting TOGA, such as turmeric, lemongrass, bitter leaf (sambiloto), and galangal on village land. This activity received a positive response and successfully fostered community awareness and self-reliance in utilizing local natural resources for herbal-based health

Abstract

Academic research on religious expression in Indonesia has long emphasized written sources, while it often overlooks oral traditions such as Kalindaqdaq, an oral poetry of the Mandar people that actively conveys Islamic teachings. This research gap appears because previous studies rarely examine how lexicon and metaphor operate linguistically within this tradition. This study therefore examines how Kalindaqdaq constructs religious values by combining philosophical, linguistic, and anthropological perspectives. This qualitative study analyzes Lontara manuscripts through philological methods, observes Kalindaqdaq performances ethnographically, and examines recorded performances using content analysis. The metrical analysis shows that performers consistently apply an 8-7-5-7 syllabic pattern in 98% of the verses. The lexical analysis reveals that Arabic theocentric terms account for 45% of the religious vocabulary and undergo systematic phonological adaptation. The metaphor analysis further demonstrates how conceptual metaphors translate abstract Islamic ideas into concrete Mandar cultural experiences. These findings show that the study contributes methodologically by combining Scheler’s value theory with systematic linguistic analysis of lexical and metaphorical patterns. At the empirical level, the study documents an endangered oral tradition and clarifies how Islamic doctrine interacts with local cultural cognition in Nusantara’s religious oral literature.
