Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning method on the IPAS learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Margadadi, Jati Agung District, South Lampung. The study was conducted to address the need for more interactive learning methods that can improve students’ understanding and achievement in IPAS learning. Design/methods – This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of class IV B as the experimental class and class IV A as the control class, selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected using multiple-choice learning outcome tests administered as pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test using SPSS. Findings – The findings show that the posttest mean score of the experimental class was 91.71, while the control class obtained a mean score of 83.81. The independent sample t-test result showed a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two classes. Therefore, the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning method has a significant effect on improving students’ IPAS learning outcomes in fourth grade at SD Negeri 2 Margadadi, Jati Agung District, South Lampung.

Abstract

The persistently low levels of Qur’anic reading and memorization skills among intermediate-level female students remain a serious challenge in tahfidz education at Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). One approach considered effective in addressing this issue is the wahdah method, which emphasizes gradual repetition of verses until accurate memorization is achieved. This study aims to: (1) analyze the process of Qur’anic reading and memorization learning at Pondok Pesantren Ummu Zainab Annajiyah 2 Bahrul Ulum; (2) identify the role of teachers in providing stimulus, correction, and reinforcement; and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of tahfidz instruction from a behaviorist perspective. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using narrative descriptive techniques. The findings show that tahfidz learning is conducted systematically through stages of habituation, repetition (drill), memorization recitation (setoran), and review (muraja’ah). Teachers play an active role as providers of stimulus, correctors of recitation, and reinforcers of memorization behavior through both positive and corrective reinforcement. The application of behaviorist principles, particularly through repeated and consistent practice proved effective in improving reading skills, strengthening memorization, and fostering student discipline. The study concludes that the wahdah method, when combined with a behaviorist approach by instructors, can successfully establish optimal and sustainable learning habits. These findings highlight the importance of integrating behaviorist principles into tahfidz instruction to enhance the effectiveness and quality of Qur’anic education within the pesantren environment.

Abstract

Blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 can be reduced with walk-through brisk therapy and progressive muscle relaxation. This is because when walking exercise is done regularly can stimulate glycogen synthesis through increased action of insulin and stimulate glucose transport by GLUT4 glucose transporer. Meanwhile, when progressive muscle relaxation is done regularly able to inhibit the pathor stressor thus reinforcing the positive attitude to stress stimulation and resulted in reduced hypothalamus. This study aims to determine the effectiveness between Brisk Walk Exercise and Progressive Muscle Relaxation on the decrease of blood glucose level in Diabetes Mellitus Type 2. The design of this study used Quasy Experimental with Pre test and Post Test Group Design with consecutive sampling. The sample consists of 30 respondents, divided into 2 groups: Brisk Walk Exercise group and Progressive Muscle Relaxation group. The result of Paired T test of Brisk Walk Exercise was obtained p is 0,000, this means that there is a significant difference. While in the Progressive Muscle Relaxation group the p is 0.000, this means there is a significant difference. In Paired T test, p is 0,000, means that there is significant difference between Brisk Walk Exercise and Progressive Muscle Relaxation. Nurses are expected to apply non pharmacological therapy such as Brisk Walk Exercise and Progressive Muscle Relaxation as an alternative therapy an easy patient choice to do to lower blood sugar levels.

Abstract

Insomnia merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sering dihadapi oleh lansia. Jika masalah tidur tidak terpenuhi akan berdampak pada lansia berupa kelelahan, perubahan mood, mudah marah, kurangnya konsentrasi, perburukan memori, kualitas kinerja atau aktivitas buruk. Untuk mengatasi insomnia dapat dilakukan dengan mendengarkan murottal Al Quran. Terapi murottal dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas tidur lansia ditandai dengan meningkatkan perasaan rileks, dan mengalihkan perhatian dari rasa takut, cemas dan tegang. Tujuan penelitihan ini adalah untuk mengetahuai pengaruh terapi murottal pada kualitas tidur lansia insomnia. Penelitihan ini menggunakan literatur riview. Jurnal yang ditelusuri nasional dan internasional melalui Google Schoolar, Pubmed, Ebsco dan Proques. Jurnal yang ditelusuri pada tahun 2015 sampai 2020, setelah pencarian jurnal ditemukan 401 kemdian diidentifikasi dan disaring menjadi 76 setelah itu terdapat 10 jurnal sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eklusi. Menggunakan kata kunci terapi murottal, insomnia, kualitas tidur, lansia, dalam bahasa inggris menggunakan insomnia, elderly, sleep quality dan murottal therapy. Jurnal-jurnal dianalisa dapat diketahui terdapat peningkatan kualitas tidur setelah melakukan terapi murotta, dari ke 10 jurnal tersebut terdapat tiga jurnal kenaikan signifikan, dan terdapat satu jurnal kenaikan kurang signifikan. Peningkatan kualitas tidur lansia insomnia setelah melakukan terapi murottal. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menambah pengetahuan untuk perawat salah satunya terapi murottal dapat mempengaruhi tingkat insomnia pada lansia

Abstract

Vertigo is a disease that is very often found in the community, which is described by feeling dizzy, giddiness and unsteadiness. One of the actions that can be taken in reducing the level of vertigo symptoms is giving Brandt Daroff physical therapy and classical music therapy. The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of Brandt Daroff's physical therapy and classical music therapy on reducing the level of vertigo symptoms. The research method used was Pre Experimental Design with Intact – Group Comparison design. The respondents of this study were patients with vertigo. The participants of the study were determined using purposive sampling. The number of sample in this study were 30 people, which were divided into 15 people in the control group and 15 people in the treatment group. The results of the Independent T - Test statistical test obtained the value of Sig. (2 – tailed) p – value = 0.011 (p < 0.05) which means that there is an effect of giving Brandt Daroff physical therapy and classical music therapy in reducing the level of vertigo symptoms. Suggestions for further researchers are to pay more attention to other factors that can affect the level of vertigo symptoms. Suggestions for health workers in the future, this theory can be applied and taught to vertigo patients to reduce the level of vertigo symptoms.

Abstract

Shivering, which often occurs after spinal anesthesia if left unchecked can worsen postoperative conditions, causing perioperative hypothermia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving hot packs on the incidence of shivering after laparatomy surgery with spinal anesthesia. The research method used Quasi Experimental Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling type totaling 38 respondents, with Shapiro wilk normality test and wilcoxon rank-sum test. The research instrument used an electric hot pack, the intervention was given once for 15 minutes on the right and left forearms. Research in the treatment group showed that most of them experienced shivering. The results of the Wilcoxon rank-sum test in the intervention group were (p = 0.000), in the Mann Whitney test with the results (p = 0.000) which means there is an effect of giving before and after hot packs on the degree of shivering in patients post laparatomy surgery with spinal anesthesia. Giving hot packs is proven to have an effect in reducing shivering and increasing body temperature in postoperative laparatomy patients with spinal anesthesia. This simple intervention can help improve patient comfort and recovery after surgery. It is expected that health workers use hot packs as an action to overcome shivering.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the work environment and training on work productivity, using work motivation as an intervening variable. This research was quantitative and explanatory, using a questionnaire with several open-ended and closed-ended questions for 162 participants. The SmartPLS approach was used as the technique chosen. The results showed that the work environment had no significant relationship or influence on work productivity, training had a significant influence on work productivity, the work environment had a significant influence or relationship on work motivation, training had a significant relationship with work motivation, and the work environment had a significant relationship with work productivity through the motivation variable. Finally, the training variable had no significant relationship with work productivity when mediated or bridged by the work motivation variable.

Abstract

Human waste becomes one of paramount issues which is faced by urban community particularly those who live in Laikang Sub-District, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. The increasing number of population directly effected the higher waste production. Furthermore, This is exacerbated by limited capacity at landfills to accommodate waste as well as the government's lack of awareness of how important it is to manage good waste, especially household waste which has a direct impact on society. Household waste itself is dominated by organic waste, much of which comes from organic materials. Laikang Village is one of the residential areas that is active in waste management, through the PKK as women's empowerment organization. Unfortunately, organic waste management is still considered inadequate, even though it is easier than inorganic waste management in this sub-district. One solution to overcome this is to manage waste using the reduce, reuse, recycle (3R) method. Therefore, the existence of socialization on household waste management as a form of implementing sustainable development in related locations is expected to solve the problems by educating the local community. This socialization was carried out using lecture method and discussion methods with pre-test and post-test as a tool to measure participants' understanding, there are 12 of them which are part of the Laikang Sub-District PKK. The results show 100% increase in participants' understanding and knowledge regarding organic waste management. This activity provides many benefits for the sustainability of people's lives in Laikang Village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which elementary school students understand the concept of addition operations based on a review of relevant literature. The method used in this study is library research through the review of various relevant sources and the results of previous studies related to the understanding of the concept of addition in elementary school students. Research data were obtained from various sources of literature studies that meet the criteria of validity, reliability, and relevance of the study. The analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis techniques to describe the level of students' understanding of the concept of addition operations of integers in elementary school students. The results of the study indicate that the understanding of grade 1 students on the concept of addition of integers is still not optimal. Students' difficulties in understanding place value are an important finding that can be used as evaluation material in mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low IPAS learning outcomes of third-grade students at MIN 2 Lampung Barat due to learning activities that lacked direct student involvement and learning experiences. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the experiential learning model assisted by flash card media on students’ IPAS learning outcomes. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 25 students in the experimental class and 27 students in the control class. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed using the independent sample t-test and N-Gain test. The results showed that the experiential learning model assisted by flash card media had a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes, indicated by a significance value of 0.005 < 0.05. The average N-Gain score of the experimental class was 73.6% in the high category. Therefore, the experiential learning model assisted by flash card media was effective in improving students’ IPAS learning outcomes.
