Abstract

This research aims to know description of students’ difficulties in solving problem of linear equation system with two variable viewed from metacognition awareness and factors that cause students’ difficulties in solving problem of linear equation system with two variable. The type of research is qualitative research with descriptive approach. Retrieval of subject perfomed by providing metacognition awareness questionnaire to students class IX and from result of metacognition awareness questionnaire selected purposively three subjects. Insrument in this research is questionnaire of Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) developed by Scraw & Dennison, diagnostic tes of difficulties in solving problem of linear equation system with two variable and interview guidelines. Indicathors of difficulties in solving problem namely understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. Result of research show: 1)subject with high metacognition awareness difficulties in understanding the story problem. 2) Subject with moderate metacognition awareness difficulties in devising a plan, difficulties in carrying out the plan, and difficulties in looking back. 3) subject with low metacognition awareness experience most difficulty in solving problem. Subject difficulties in understanding the problem, difficulties in devising a plan, difficulties in carrying out the plan, and difficulties in looking back.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan kesehatan di sekolah bertujuan mendorong kemandirian siswa untuk hidup sehat, memelihara dan meningkatkan kesehatan individu maupun keluarga. Perencanaan  manajemen  pendidikan  kesehatan bagi siswa yang melibatkan stakeholder serta komite sekolah dalam menyusun program pendidikan kesehatan sekolah bagi siswa. Pelaksanaan manajemen pendidikan kesehatan melibatkan  semua  elemen  sekolah  yang  berperan  dalam menciptakan kegiatan kesehatan bagi siswa yang efektif dan efesien. Pembinaan  ini  melalui  tindakan  promotif dan preventif.  Penilaian manajemen pendidikan kesehatan berbentuk dari rangkaian kegiatan siswa serta peran aktif dalam membangun pehamaman siswa dalam bidang kesehatan anak usia sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan dapat memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan kepada guru dan siswa dalam menyusun perencanaan kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan secara baik. Kesimpulan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam hal ini pengelola dan satri di Yayasan Ma’had Darul Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas bias memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan model manajemen pendidikan kesehatan, mengacu pada program pemerintah yaitu Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS)  untuk  meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dalam berperilaku hidup bersih dan sehat sehingga kedepan nya sekolah akan melahirkan generasi yang cerdas dan sehat. Sebagai suatu penelitian sistematis pada proses desain, pengembangan dan evaluasi dengan tujuan membangun sebuah dasar empiris untuk penciptaan model  seharusnya menjadi prioritas utama para peneliti di biadang pendidikan.  Kata kunci: Manajemen, Pendidikan, Kesehatan

Abstract

Dental and oral hygiene can be achieved well by cleaning the teeth and mouth from food debris. The target activities of children aged 6-12 years in Keude Ulee Glee village, a total of 20 respondents are mothers. The first day's activities were in the form of health counseling on brushing techniques and maintenance of dental and oral health, starting with pretest and post test after counseling. Results of community service activities show an increase in knowledge before and after counseling. At the time of the demonstration of brushing, the child can do brushing his teeth properly and correctly, it is known that the plaque index before and after brushing teeth there is a difference (P<0.05). The results of this community service activity are expected to parents, especially mothers, to accompany their children to maintain dental and oral health as an effort to prevent caries.

Abstract

This study investigates the motivational strategies employed by teachers through the application of the Teachers’ Student Motivation Scale (TSMS), a psychometrically validated instrument designed to assess teachers’ approaches to student motivation. The TSMS comprises 32 scenario-based items categorized into four sub-dimensions: high-level control, moderate-level control, moderate-level autonomy support, and high-level autonomy support. Utilizing a 5-point Likert scale, the scale captures the frequency and appropriateness of teachers’ motivational behaviors. The study evaluates the reliability and validity of the TSMS, reporting satisfactory internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha ranging from 0.75 to 0.78 across sub-dimensions) and significant correlations with the Student Locus of Control Scale, indicating meaningful relationships between motivational strategies and students’ locus of control. Data analysis, including independent samples t-tests, explores variations in motivational strategies by teacher gender. Findings highlight the role of control and autonomy-supportive strategies in fostering student motivation, with implications for teacher training and educational practice. This research contributes to the understanding of motivational aspects in educational settings and offers an appropriate tool for future studies.

Abstract

Masyarakat Desa Aursati, Kecamatan Tambang, menghadapi keterbatasan dalam mengelola potensi sumber daya lokal yang melimpah, seperti kayu dan cangkang biji karet, sehingga belum mampu memberikan nilai tambah secara ekonomi. Kurangnya keterampilan pengolahan bahan serta belum adanya produk khas daerah menjadi salah satu kendala dalam mendukung sektor pariwisata, khususnya di kawasan Danau Bokuok yang sedang dikembangkan sebagai destinasi wisata desa. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat melalui diversifikasi produk lokal menjadi gantungan kunci kreatif berbahan dasar kayu karet, guna mendukung penguatan daya tarik wisata lokal. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan model Participatory Action Research (PAR), meliputi perencanaan, pelatihan, dan implementasi melalui observasi lapangan, sosialisasi, pengenalan bahan baku, pelatihan teknis pembuatan produk gantungan kunci, serta penggunaan alat bahan dan pendampingan. Hasil observasi menunjukkan ketersediaan bahan baku yang melimpah, namun belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Melalui pelatihan, peserta yang terdiri dari kelompok ibu-ibu PKK berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, menghasilkan produk bernilai jual dan mengemasnya secara menarik. Tingginya antusiasme dan komitmen peserta untuk mengembangkan usaha ini menunjukkan bahwa program berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas ekonomi masyarakat sekaligus memperkaya ragam produk cinderamata lokal. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan berbasis potensi lokal mendukung pengembangan wisata dan ekonomi kreatif desa.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether students’ present progressive can be improved by using the Whole Brain Method. The participants were 20 eight grade students. The researcher had carried out research during the pandemic; the number of students was limited by the school. The research employed true experimental and need pre-test and post-test to both experimental class and control class. The population of this research is students in the grade VIII students of SMP Negeri Palu. The sample was selected by using random sampling technique. The samples are 20 students of class VIII A as the experiment class and VIII C as a control class. The research analyzed the data statistically data collection. The result of data analysis shows that the experimental class (85.5) is higher than the mean score of the control class (69). The deviation score of experimental class (17.64) is higher than of the control class (9.73). The result of t-counted (3.739) is higher than t-table (2.262). In analyzing the data, the researcher used 0.05 level of significance and the degree of freedom (df=10-2) it means that the hypothesis of the research was accepted. Therefore, the Whole Brain Method increase students’ present progressive.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out the effect of Instagram in learning vocabulary of third semester students at English Tadris Study Program in IAIN Palu. This research was quantitative method and used total sampling. The subject of this research was the students’ batch 2019 semester 3 academic year 2020-2021 in IAIN Palu. The total numbers of students of in this research were 102 students. After selected the sample of this research were 35 students. Research instrument is questionnaire.The technique of collection data was observation, and reduction.The result showed that Effect of Instagram in Learning Vocabulary of Third Semester Students’ at English Tadris Study Program in IAIN Palu Academic year 2020/2021, used online media namely google form. The data revealed that the level of the mean score 62,48% from 35 students which was categorized as high effect. Then the research concluded that it is evident that Instagram have an effect on learning English (vocabulary) of student. It was revealed by the mean score 62,48%. The research was classified as high category of the students’ questionnaire.

Abstract

This research with a quantitative approach aims to determine whether the use of diary writing strategy is effective to improve writing skill in recount text of eighth grade students at MTS Negeri 2 Palu. The population in this research were students at MTS Negeri 2 Palu and the sample was students in grades VIII A and B with a total sample of 70 students. However, due to the pandemic ccovid-19with all the limitation, the researcher only obtained 24 students as the samples who took the test in this research. In this research the researcher used a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique using test, namely pre-test and post- test. The technique of data analys is that the researcher used is the t-test. The results of the data analysis showed that t-count is and t-table (t-count10,632 > t-table1,796). It means the results of the research showed that there is improvement in the eighth grade students’ writing skill in recount text after the implementation of Diary writing strategy at MTS Negeri 2 Palu.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the use of asynchronous e-learning applications in teaching speaking and describe students’ perceptions of asynchronous e-learning applications in online English-speaking courses. The data in this research was collected qualitatively by using observation and focus group discussion. The observation was conducted on the use of asynchronous e-learning applications in teaching speaking. The focus group discussions have been done with thirteen students of Tadris English Department, UIN Datokarama Palu, who were taught using asynchronous e-learning in 2020/2021. This research showed that 1) in this asynchronous teaching and learning, lecturer and students use FlipGrid, WhatsApp group, and Google classroom. 2) the students had a positive perception of the use of asynchronous e-learning in online speaking courses, such as independent learning, and becoming more active, whereas the students also have negative perceptions such as lack of interaction and technical support.

Abstract

The students at the third grade of MTs N 2 Palu have different social context in their life. Since different students in different societies have distinct ways of life, and language to a considerable degree is influenced by culture. The factors above against this background that this study is carried out to examine how the differences in English use of men and women and at the third grade of MTs N 2 Palu. This research discusses about the differences between men and women in using English. Considering the purpose of the research and the nature of the problem, this research was a qualitative-research. To collect the data the researcher used observation, interview, and video recording. The result of this study shows that the difference between the students in using English is influenced by the social context especially in cultural aspect. When the students use English, the accent of each culture follows into their English. It also affects the intonations and accent when they use English. While, the differences between men and women. Women found it easier to adjust their accents and distinguish accents from the culture and accents of the English. While, man found it difficult. So, when using English men are often carried away with accents from their own culture.
