Abstract

The Batagak Penghulu tradition in Minangkabau can be considered as a form of integration between traditional and Islamic values, where Islamic principles are the basis for implementing this tradition. In this tradition, religious values and Islamic teachings are reflected in various aspects, such as the election of leaders, the deliberation process, and cooperation in order to achieve goodness and justice. The process of selecting the headman involves the participation of all components of society, demonstrating the principle of deliberation recommended in Islam. The chosen leader must meet leadership criteria in accordance with Islamic teachings, such as being honest, trustworthy, wise, and able to convey teachings well. The Qur'an also emphasizes the importance of just leadership and dual responsibility towards Allah SWT and society. The concept of deliberation, explained in the Qur'an, provides the basis for decision making in the traditional Batagak Penghulu process. This deliberation process not only reflects traditional values, but is also in line with Islamic principles which encourage justice, togetherness and problem solving through consensus. Through qualitative research methods and content analysis, this research provides an in-depth understanding of the integration between custom and Islam in the Batagak Penghulu tradition. The Batagak Penghulu tradition in Minangkabau reflects the harmonization between traditional values and Islamic teachings. The process of appointing the headman, deliberation, leadership and cooperation in this tradition shows harmony with the Islamic principles contained in the Al-Qur'an. This tradition is not only a unique cultural heritage, but also a manifestation of community life that is firmly rooted in Islamic religious values.

Abstract

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. XYZ is engaged in the textile industry. The problem was experienced due to defects in the Rayon Fiber production process. The purpose of the study was to determine the Rayon Fiber production process at PT. XYZ, to determine the factors causing defects using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods, and to provide suggestions for improvement to reduce product defects. The results of the observation showed that there were three types of defects, including White Brightness, Yellow Brightness, and Damaged Wrapping. Of the three aspects, the most dominant types of defects were White Brightness, and Damaged Wrapping seen in the production process in December with a percentage of defects of 14.8%. From the Pareto diagram, it is clear that three problems cause defective goods. To reduce the number of faulty goods, the most common issues - namely, damaged wrapping and white brightness defects - must be addressed by fixing the most defective goods using the 80%/20% approach. After obtaining the severity, occurrence, and detection values related to window product defects, the RPN value will be calculated by multiplying the values above (RPN = S x O x D). By doing the repairs, it resulted in improvements marked by a decrease in the RPN value from 1290 to 553 or 42.8%. The root cause of the problem was because the operator did not follow the existing work standards and did not use the navigation system during the production process. From the results of the study, several suggestions for improvement were obtained, namely conducting periodic supervision and providing re-training to operators regarding the importance of working according to SOP.

Abstract

Reading skill is not enough with the student's intelligence. Rather, he is concerned with the presence of external and internal factors that encourage reading. Reading is the main source for learning the Arabic language and requires special and varied training. The teacher should pay attention to the steps of teaching reading skill according to the intended purposes. The results of the research are: a). Reading skill is a complex process that includes four operations; It is recognition, understanding, criticism and interaction. Despite the clarity of the difference between these four processes, the exact definition of the language skills that pertain to each process is still a mystery to some teachers of Arabic as a second language; b). In reading, a process is intended to link the language of speech and written symbols. It is from this nature that the elements of reading are known, which are the mental meaning, the pronunciation to be performed, and the written symbol; c). The opinion of Rushdi Ahmed Tuaima in teaching reading skills The reading skill is taught when the stages of education are progressing so that teachers of reading skill in the Arabic language must be masters, absorbing the theoretical and practical aspects of reading education stages according to Rushdi Ahmed Tuaima, in succession and succession from the first stages to the last.

Abstract

Pre-wedding photos have become part of popular culture carried out by brides-to-be, including in Pangkalan Village. However, there is a gap between the level of knowledge and public practice regarding Islamic law regarding these activities. In response to this phenomenon, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of North Sumatra Province issued Fatwa Number 03/KF/MUI-SU/IV/2011 which expressly prohibits pre-wedding photos before the marriage contract. This study aims to examine the perception of the people of Pangkalan Village towards the existence and implementation of the fatwa. This study uses an empirical method with a field research approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with four couples who had taken pre-wedding photos, four religious leaders, and three mosque teenagers, and supported by observation and documentation. The results of the study showed that even though 75.61% of the public knew the MUI fatwa related to the ban, the practice of pre-wedding photos before the marriage contract was still prevalent, even with poses that were not in line with sharia values. Religious leaders fully support the fatwa and emphasize the importance of avoiding the practice of khalwat, ikhtilat, and physical touch that are prohibited in Islam. Meanwhile, mosque youth understand the rationale behind the fatwa, but face challenges in the form of social pressure and a desire to follow popular culture trends. Public perception of this fatwa is influenced by psychological factors, family environment, and local culture that develop in the community.
