Abstract

Several previous types of research showed that students had obstacles in understanding the concept of linear equations. These obstacles occur because the designed learning cannot facilitate student learning trajectories, thus causing low learning outcomes. This research aimed to design and develop a learning trajectory for the linear equations in one variable material as a systematic set of activities through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) instruction using a dynamo-powered toy car. This design is referred to as a Local Instructional Theory (LIT) in teaching the linear equations in one variable material. The research method used is the method of design research, following the stages of preliminary design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. The research subjects in the teaching experiment were grade VII students of a state junior high school in Bandung City. Data were collected from various sources, namely student worksheets, teacher and student observation sheets, documentation, interview, and video recording of the learning course. This study analyzes the validity of the research through a qualitative research perspective, and reliability refers to the quality of the survey itself. The research results described the performance of the LIT-based design for linear equations in one variable learning in STEM instruction in four meetings. The research was concluded with the generation of one local instructional theory that is valid, practical, and effective in guiding a set of instructional activities to build an understanding of the linear equations in one variable material through STEM instruction using a dynamo-powered toy car.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil deskripsi kemampuan representasi matematis melalui model pembelajaran berorientasi HOTS dari tahun publikasi, level indeks jurnal, jenjang pendidikan, banyak sampel, demografi, metode dan materi yang dibahas. Melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR), penelitian ini didukung oleh beberapa referensi terdahulu mengenai analisis kemampuan representasi matematis dengan berbagai macam model pembelajaran pada kurun waktu 2016-2022. Artikel yang digunakan sebagai referensi adalah artikel yang telah terpublikasi dengan subjek penelitian jenjang pendidikan SD, SMP, SMA sederajat hingga Perguruan Tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan artikel relevan yang terpublikasi pada Google Scholar sebanyak 44 artikel kemampuan representasi matematis melalui 3 jenis model pembelajaran berorientasi HOTS. Tercatat bahwa artikel paling banyak adalah terindeks Sinta 4 dengan demografi tertinggi di Pulau Sumatera pada tahun 2019 serta metode kuantitatif adalah metode paling sering dijumpai. Jenjang pendidikan terbanyak adalah tingkat menengah pertama dengan sampel lebih dari sama dengan 30 siswa.  This study aims to describe the results of the description of mathematical representation abilities through the HOTS-oriented learning model from the year of publication, journal index level, education level, many samples, demographics, methods, and materials discussed. Through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this research is supported by several previous references regarding the analysis of mathematical representation abilities with various learning models in the 2016-2022 period. The articles used as references are articles that have been published with research subjects at elementary, junior high, high school, and university levels. Based on the results of the research, it was found that 44 relevant articles published on Google Scholar were mathematical representation abilities through 3 types of HOTS-oriented learning models. It was noted that most articles were indexed by Sinta 4 with the highest demographics on Sumatra Island in 2019 and the quantitative method was the most frequently encountered method. The highest education level is junior secondary level with a sample of more than 30 students.

Abstract

Kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia mengharuskan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran jarak jauh (daring) selama pandemic covid 19 . Model pembelajaran daring ini mempengaruhi self regulated learning mahasiswa terutama dalam pembelajaran matematika. Regulasi belajar mandiri juga dipengaruhi oleh tipe kepribadian dari masing-masing mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self regulated learning dengan tipe kepribadian dalam pembelajaran matematika secara dari. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model yang baik dan kuat dengan R square 0.644. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa regulasi belajar mandiri berpengaruh positif terhadap tipe kepribadian mahasiswa. Dari dua tipe kepribadian mahasiswa ternyata, tipe kepribadian introvert memiliki self regulated learning yang tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa dengan tipe kepribadian ekstrovert.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat self-regulated learning terhadap prestasi akademik  matematika siswa. Pencarian relevan dari database google scholar dan scopus terkait hasil penelitian dari tahun 2011 sampai tahun 2021 yang meninjau self-regulated learning berkaitan dengan prestasi matematika. Metode pencariannya menggunakan aplikasi publish and perish. Ditemukan 890 artikel mengenai self-regulated learning, dan terdapat 172 artikel yang mengkaitkan dengan prestasi. Namun hanya 47 artikel yang mengkaji self-regulated learning dengan prestasi matematika. Dari 47 artikel tersebut dipilih 8 artikel yang paling relevan. Dalam review artikel pada kajian ini, hasil penelitian yang ada dilihat hal-hal dalam self-regulated learning yang berkolerasi terhadap kemampuan akademik. Dari studi 8 artikel yang dikaji, faktor-faktor dari self-regulated learningyang mempengaruhi terhadap prestasi akademik adalah keyakinan (self-efficacy), motivasi, dan tujuan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh resiliensi matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Systematic Literature Review. Subjek penelitian pada kasus ini adalah siswa dan mahasiswa. Setelah melalui tahap inklusi dan uji kualitas, literatur yang dikaji sebanyak 25 artikel. Hasil dan temuan dalam artikel-artikel menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh resiliensi matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi. Kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi yang dimaksud merujuk pada level taksonomi bloom yaitu kemampuan penalaran, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Namun 20% dari kajian literatur tersebut menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh resiliensi matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi, khususnya pada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan kreatif matematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian literatur terkait dengan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dalam mengerjakan soal matematika pada jenjang SD, SMP, SMA, dan Perguruan Tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR), yang terdiri dari 53 sampel hasil penelitian kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Sampel terdiri dari jurnal terindeks yang diterbitkan pada periode 2015 – 2022. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mendokumentasikan semua artikel terkait pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, ditinjau dari tahun penelitian, jenjang pendidikan, ukuran sampel dan jenis penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapat, bahwa artikel mengenai kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa terkait karakteristik dan gaya belajar mendominasi pada delapan tahun terakhir, sedangkan artikel mengenai gender dan media pembelajaran cenderung sedikit serta kurang diminati oleh para peneliti. Peneliti lebih banyak melakukan penelitian pada jenjang pendidikan SMP dengan mayoritas jumlah sampel kurang dari 30.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a learning model that is often used in learning mathematics. This meta-analysis study was conducted to summarize the effect of PBL with the help of GeoGebra software on students' mathematical abilities. Related databases were searched for studies that met the inclusion criteria. The estimation method uses a random-effect model with a 95% confidence interval. This study analyzed 5 primary studies published between 2016 and 2020 using the posttest-only group design experimental research method, and 320 students were involved. The Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) program was used to assist the analysis. As a result of the study, the overall effect size was 1.32 (strong effect) with a standard deviation of 0.021. Analysis of study characteristics revealed that the influence of the PBL model assisted by GeoGebra applications had a strong effect on the condition of the sample size of 1-40 students, secondary school education level and on mathematical problem-solving abilities. This finding is considered by practitioners of mathematics education to implement it in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution of research related to the use of the Watson criteria in analyzing student errors at all levels of education. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The sample consists of 42 results of qualitative research on the use of Watson's criteria in analyzing student errors. Samples were taken from indexed journals published in the 2017-2021 period. The key question of this research is how the description of the distribution of research related to the use of the Watson criteria in analyzing student errors, is reviewed based on the year of publication, level of research, methods used, number of subjects, types of questions, demographics, and types of errors made by students. Through the SLR method, it was found that there was an increase and decrease in the number of studies over the last five years. Based on the criteria for junior high school level studies, the use of descriptive qualitative methods, using story questions, with less than 30 subjects, and the demographics of research on the island of Java are the most dominant. The most dominant student errors are procedural errors and missing conclusions. This becomes very important to be considered in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This study examines the improvement of student learning outcomes using the Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun learning model. The application of the Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun learning model is closely related to other learning models. Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun learning models are helpful and can create meaningful learning. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR). This CAR research was conducted in two cycles. The research sample amounted to 22 people who were not taken at random. The data was obtained by using tests, namely the initial test, the first cycle test, and the second cycle test. They are calculating student completeness using the formula for individual mastery and classical wholeness and calculating the increase in learning outcomes using the N-Gain Normalized formula. Applying the Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun learning model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects as the subject of probability theory.

Abstract

National Research Council mengembangkan konsep Mathematical Proficiency dalam lima strands yaitu: Conceptual Understanding, Procedural Fluency, Strategics competence, Adaptive Reasoning, and Productive Disposition. Tujuan dari studi ini untuk menganalis pengembangan mathematics proficiency dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Adapun tahapan SLR dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: 1) Mengembangkan pertanyaan penelitian; 2) Mendesain kerangka konseptual; 3) Membuat kriteria seleksi; 4) Mengembangkan strategi sencarian; 5) Menseleksi kajian berdasarkan kriteria seleksi; 6) Mengkode kajian; 7) Menentukan kualitas kajian; 8) Mensintensis hasil kajian; 9) Melaporkaan temuan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 10 artikel yang paling relevan dari 102 artikel yang ditemukan menggunakan aplikasi publish and perish. Artikel-artikel yang dikaji merupakan artikel-artikel dari jurnal internasional yang terindeks scopus. Artikel diambil dari tahun 2010 sampai 2022. Kemampuan mathematical proficiency dapat dikembangkan dengan bantuan guru/pendidik melalui beberapa cara, antara lain: 1) memilih strategi pembelajaran yang tepat sesuai karakteristik peserta didik; 2) mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran; 3) menyiapkan soal-soal yang dapat mengembangkan proses berpikir matematis sehingga mengembangkan kecakapan matematis siswa ; 4) meningkatkan kompetensi seorang guru melalui seminar, pelatihan dan lainnya; 5) memberikan tantangan bagi siswa dalam belajar matematika.
