Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal and describe how the self-efficacy of mathematics teachers in Cianjur towards the dynamics of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted in Cianjur Regency. The methodology used is descriptive quantitative method. The technique of collecting data is through questionnaires given by purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics which do not aim to make conclusions about the entire population but rather help understand the details of the sample. The results showed that the overall self-efficacy of Mathematics Teachers in Cianjur was in the moderate category. Likewise, four of the seven constructs on teacher self-efficacy are Mathematics Knowledge Self-efficacy (KS), Instructional Self-efficacy (IS), Outcome Expectancy (OE) and Technology Literacy (TL) in the medium category. This means that teachers believe they have the ability to carry out their duties in the midst of a pandemic even though they still need development related to the four constructs. However, the other constructs namely Motivational Self-efficacy (MS), Engagement Self-efficacy (ES), and Disciplinary (as in classroom management) Self-efficacy (DS) are in the high category. This condition shows that teachers are able to provide motivation, students can be actively involved in learning and learning continues to be carried out conducive even though learning is carried out in the midst of a pandemic condition.

Abstract

The significant influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on the education sector has changed the learning process from face-to-face to online learning. One of the tools used in optimizing the online learning process is the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS). Students' perception of moodle becomes data that is analyzed and interpreted during online learning of mathematics. There are 18 question items distributed via google form using a semantic differential scale of 1-7. Several aspects are examined from the questionnaire, including affective, cognitive and behavioural elements to students in SMP X, data analysis technique by calculating the average of each statement item with the criteria of an average score of <5 Negative response and an average score of 5 then the indicator has a positive response. In addition, the total percentage of students who fill out each indicator is also analyzed to compare the proportions. The data obtained from this study include the affective element of students choosing the benefits of LMS Moodle on a scale of 5-7 by 76%. From the cognitive element of students' perceptions, from 5-7, as many as 68% of students were motivated to learn to use the Moodle LMS during the Covid-19 pandemic. And from the behavioural aspect, 82% of students choose from a scale of 5-7 they choose the emergence of learning independence when using this Moodle LMS.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain student responses and opinions regarding self-regulated learning of students during the Covid 19 pandemic in online learning at SMK Negeri 1 Bandung seen by grade level and also by major. This study used descriptive quantitative research methods. The population in this study were all students of SMKN 1 Bandung from tenth to twelve grade. Sample selection using snowball sampling technique. The results shows that the average score of respondents on the learning independence of SMKN 1 Bandung students during the Covid 19 pandemic was 3.78. Based on the results, we can concludes that the level of independence of SMKN 1 Bandung students in online learning during the pandemic is in the criteria of being quite independent.

Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, a pandemic occurred in all countries, one of which was Indonesia and it had an impact on the learning carried out in Indonesia. Learning that is usually done face-to-face has turned into online learning. This study aims to determine the factors that affect online learning of class XI students on their mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The population in the study was simultaneously used as a sampling (Total Sampling) with a total of 52 students. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires. Based on the results of research on the mathematical problem solving ability of students at one of the senior high schools (SMA) in the city of Bandung in online learning 50% has a medium category, so that online learning is going well, the problem only occurs in indicators checking and testing calculations or solutions. Internal factors and external factors have a strong influence during online learning.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the level of geometric thinking and geometric thinking processes of Junior High School students according to van Hiele's level of thinking on the topic of quadrilaterals. The qualitative approach is the research method used in this study through a case study method by testing the Van Hiele Geometry Test (VHGT) which was adapted from Usiskin's CDASSG and conducting interviews about the thinking process in the form of identifying, defining, and classifying which was adapted from the interview guide of Burger and Shaughnessy (1986). The subjects of this study were 297 grade VII and VIII students from two schools located in the Lembang sub-district. The results of the VHGT test showed that there were 81 students counting level 0 (visualization). The results showed that the students of class VII and VIII level 0 were as follows: 1) students were able to recognize the types of quadrangle but still affected by the prototype, 2) students were not able to classify quadrilaterals, and 3) overall description of the geometric thinking process level 0 in the form of identifying, defining, and classifying aspects according to van Hiele's thinking characteristics in general.

Abstract

Study of meta-analysis by selecting the random effect model was employed to investigate and examine students’ education level predicted as one of the causative factors of the heterogeneity of mathematical critical thinking ability (MCTA) through problem-based learning (PBL). Search engines such as Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar were used to find thirty journal or proceeding articles published in 2011 – 2021 and indexed by Scopus, Sinta, and Web of Science. The Z and Q Cochrane test were used to analyze the data. The results revealed that education level was one of the significant factors causing the heterogeneity of students’ MCTA through PBL. Therefore, mathematics teachers or lecturers should minimize the gap by improving the learning quality through PBL in education level in which students’ MCTA was still low.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and create synthesis about Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) and learning motivation in online learning. There is some research related to SRL and learning motivation as well as its impact on students' academic achievement in math learning. The search for relevant data base was conducted in a study published from 2015 to 2021 that examined SRL and learning motivation, especially in the field of mathematics education. The search strategy is done systematically by reviewing articles that have been published on the databases OF ERIC, Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar.  Based on the results of a systematic review of the literature, it was produced that SRL and motivation learning are important predictors in online math learning. In addition, SRL and learning motivation have a positive and significant influence on students' academic achievement. As for efforts to improve SRL and student learning motivation in learning can be done by applying learning that can help students develop positive values and realistic expectations for success in mathematics

Abstract

Ketakutan dan kecamasan siswa dalam matematika merupakan sumber utama kegagalan mereka menguasai matematika yang berdampak dengan ketidakmampuan mereka menyelesaikan masalah yang memerlukan pemahaman, keseriusan, dan konsentrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pembelajaran pendekatan humanistik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan perasalahan matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Post-test Only Control Group. Populasinya adalah siswa MTs di Kota Pekanbaru, sedangkan sampelnya 60 siswa  kelas VIII. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah tes berupa soal-soal  pemecahan permasalahan matematis. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran pendekatan humanistik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan permasalahan matematis siswa

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika berbasis lingkungan adalah salah satu cara pembelajaran matematika yang menjadikan isu-isu lingkungan sebagai media utama dalam pembelajaran. Pembelajaran matematika berbasis lingkungan mengangkat contoh permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan hidup pada setiap kegiatan belajar mengajar, sehingga siswa pun akan merasa bahwa pembelajaran matematika tidak terpisah jauh dengan lingkungan kehidupan mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi guru dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis lingkungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru matematika memiliki persepsi positif terhadap pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang begitu pesat memerlukan pembelajaran matematika yang terintegrasi pada teknologi, Sains dan Engineriing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang pembelajaran Matematika dengan pendekatan STEM (Sains, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) pada tingkat SD, SMP, SMA dan Perguruan Tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR), yaitu menganalisis studi penelitian terkait pendekatan STEM pada pembelajaran Matematika dari artikel jurnal yang diterbitkan pada rentang waktu antara tahun 2011 sampai tahun 2021. Pertanyaan kunci dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pembelajaran Matematika menggunakan pendekatan STEM. Terdapat 30 jurnal yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi untuk dianalisis. Hasil studi menunjukan bahwa Pendekatan STEM  bisa dilakukan dengan Pendekatan Silo (Silo Approach), Pendekatan Tertanam (Embeded Approach) dan Pendekatan Terintegrasi/Terpadu (Integrated Approach). Pendekatan STEM bisa dilakukan pada jenjang Pendidikan Dasar, Menengah, hingga Perguruan Tinggi. Integrasi pendekatan STEM terhadap model pembelajaran Matematika yaitu pendekatan STEM – PjBL dan  pendekatan STEM – PBL. Media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan STEM bisa menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis STEM seperti buku saku, modul, LKPD ataupun media pembelajaran berbasis android dan teknologi perangkat lunak seperti GeoGebra.
