Abstract

The main therapy for the treatment of pneumonia is antibiotics. The use of antibiotics requires special attention to prevent antibiotic resistance. Therefore, it is important to know the pathogenic microorganisms that cause hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) infections. This study aimed to describe the sensitivity of negative-positive bacteria to empiric antibiotics in HAP patients. The study method was an analytical descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected from patient medical records for the period January 2019 – December 2020. Inclusion criteria were ICU patients diagnosed with HAP, aged 15 years, with complete medical records (age, sputum culture, leukocytes, chest x-ray results), treatment history and outcome parameters (vital signs). Exclusion criteria were pregnant patients, involuntary discharge, and ICU stay of less than 48 hours. The data in this study were analyzed descriptively and Likelihood Ratio. The results of the description showed that the empiric antibiotics with sensitivity more than 70% against gram-positive bacteria causing HAP were rifampin (78%), TMP-sulfamethoxazole (78%), vancomycin (100%), and linezolid (100%) while the empiric antibiotics with sensitivity more than 70% against gram-negative bacteria was cefoperazone-sulbactam (≥75%), followed amikacin and imipenem (≥55%). Meanwhile, the empiric antibiotics had a very low sensitivity (≤ 50%) against ESLB-producing bacteria and MRSA. There is a significant relationship between age and educational level factors and bacterial growth in sputum cultures (p<0.05). Conclusion: Vancomycin and linezolid are sensitive to gram-positive bacteria, cefoperazone-sulbactam is sensitive to gram-negative bacteria and resistance to ESLB-producing bacteria and MRSA has occurred.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for the development of a principal leadership assessment instrument in the implementation of academic supervision based on interactive media Wordwall Random Wheel. The background of this research is based on the still dominant use of administrative and one-way supervision instruments in elementary schools, as well as the lack of involvement of teachers in providing feedback on the principal's leadership style. The research uses a qualitative approach with Research and Development (R&D) methods, adapting the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Data was obtained through observations, interviews, and questionnaires conducted in three elementary schools: SDN Bentarsari 01, SDN Bentarsari 02, and SDN Ciputih 01. The results of the study show that teachers need interactive, reflective, and collaborative instruments. The Random Wheel wordwall is considered effective in increasing teacher involvement in the supervision process, encouraging honest reflection, and building constructive two-way communication between teachers and principals. The implementation of this media has proven to be able to strengthen the role of school principals as professional coaches and not just administrative assessors.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of LCD projector media in learning and its effect on the learning motivation of fourth grade students of Wonolopo 03 State Elementary School. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a field study design (field research). Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with teachers and students and direct observation in learning activities by studying the interaction patterns of students and teachers to understand the impact of using LCD projectors on student engagement and understanding. The results showed that the use of LCD projectors increased students' learning motivation, focus, and active participation in the learning process. Visualization of material through images and videos makes it easier for students to understand the concepts taught compared to the conventional lecture method. In addition, students showed higher involvement in discussions and had the initiative to seek additional information outside the classroom. However, this study also identified some obstacles in implementation, such as power outages and limited technical skills in using the devices. Therefore, infrastructure optimization as well as training for teachers and students are needed to make the use of LCD projectors more effective and sustainable in improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

The classroom environment plays a central role in shaping the disciplined behaviour and responsibility of primary school students. Discipline reflects students' adherence to classroom rules, while responsibility relates to their awareness in completing tasks and accepting the consequences of their actions. This study aims to analyse how the classroom environment, both physical and social aspects, contributes to the development of disciplined behaviour and responsibility among Year 5 students at Wonolopo 03 Elementary School. The research employs a qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that a well-organised classroom environment, supported by mutually agreed-upon rules and positive social interactions, can enhance students' discipline and sense of responsibility. However, several challenges exist, such as differences in students' characters, external environmental influences, and difficulties in enforcing rules. Teachers implement strategies such as habituation, clear consequences, and effective communication to address these challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of Heyzine Flipbook learning media integrated with the Problem-Based Learning model to improve the learning outcomes of natural and social sciences of grade V elementary school students. This development is motivated by the lack of effectiveness of conventional media and the complexity of natural and social science materials that require innovative and interactive media. This research uses the Research and Development (RnD) method of the Borg & Gall model, consisting of 10 stages. The research was conducted in two stages: development and testing. The development stage includes problem analysis and literature study, initial development of Heyzine Flipbook media, expert validation, and revision. The pilot stage tested the effectiveness of the media on 49 fifth-grade students of Bunayya Integrated Islamic Elementary School. Initial data collection includes documentation, interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The instruments used in this study include pretest-posttest to test the effectiveness of the media and expert validation to test the feasibility of the media developed. Data analysis used a T-test, Effect Size Cohen's d and N-Gain. The results of expert validation showed that Heyzine Flipbook media was very feasible to use, with an average score of 93.5%. The effectiveness test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest (0.000 <0.05). The effectiveness level of Cohen's Effect Size d reached 1.767 on a small scale and 2.112 on a large scale, significantly improving learning outcomes. The N-Gain average improvement test reached 0.5537 on a small scale with a medium category and 0.5503 on a large scale with a medium category. This proves that Heyzine Flipbook media integrated with Problem-Based Learning is effective in helping students understand the material on Indonesia's location and geographical conditions. Based on the study results, Heyzine Flipbook media is recommended for learning natural and social sciences in elementary school. This media is an interesting and innovative alternative to conventional media. Researchers recommend that heyzine flipbook media integrated with problem-based learning models be applied to learning, especially in class V, to create meaningful learning.       Keywords: media development, heyzine flipbook, learning model, learning outcomes.

Abstract

IPAS learning, especially the material “My Indonesia is Rich in Culture” in elementary schools, still uses conventional media. The use of this media causes low student motivation, which has an impact on their interest, enthusiasm, and enthusiasm in participating in learning. Unattractive media often makes students bored quickly, so the delivery of material is not optimal. As a result, student learning outcomes are also unsatisfactory. One of the media that can increase students' interest and enthusiasm is animated video. This study aims to analyze and describe the effectiveness of learning media on motivation and learning outcomes in IPAS subjects. This type of research is a quantitative experiment with a quasi experimental design. The design used was nonequivalent control group design, with the population consisting of class IVA (27 students) as the experimental class and class IVB (27 students) as the control class, a total of 54 students. Data were collected through tests to measure learning outcomes and questionnaire sheets to measure learning motivation. Data analysis used Independent Sample t Test to test the difference and effectiveness of animated video media. The results showed that the application of animated video media was more effective than conventional media in learning IPAS material “My Indonesia is Rich in Culture.” The average value of student motivation in the experimental class reached 77.85, while in the control class it was only 74.15. For learning outcomes, the experimental class average was 85.96, compared to the control class which was 69.74. Abstract

Infrastructure—such as transportation, telecommunications, sanitation, and energy—forms the backbone of a country’s economic development. Within infrastructure projects, risk management plays a critical role in mitigating potential losses. One such system is the High Voltage Air Duct (SUTT), which distributes electricity from power plants—typically located far from urban centers—to end users. The 150kV East Bandung–Ujung Berung SUTT project involves 26 transmission towers supplying electricity from East Bandung to Ujung Berung. This study aims to identify natural disaster risks that may impact the 150kV SUTT towers in this project. The research was conducted on-site along the East Bandung–Ujung Berung transmission corridor. Using a qualitative approach and the AS/NZS 4360 risk management framework, natural disaster risks were mapped and analyzed. Findings indicate that earthquakes pose the most significant natural disaster risk to the 26 SUTT towers. The highest-ranked risk factor identified is the potential for tower foundations to collapse or shift due to seismic activity, which could lead to severe structural damage. This risk scored 18.32, placing it in the “very high” category. Another major risk is delayed emergency maintenance following a natural disaster, which can result in further deterioration and significantly reduce the towers’ service life. This risk scored 15.05, classified as “high”.

Abstract

Adjusting the time of taking medication during fasting is important because it is closely related to drug levels in the blood and its stability in the effective therapeutic range. The level of knowledge on drug use is still very low, both at the hospital, health center and pharmacy levels. Increasing knowledge related to diabetes treatment and drug use in general is very important because of changes in the way people take medicine. The health promotion method is carried out by giving lectures with the help of leaflets. Activities carried out in different health facilities, namely pharmacies, health centers and hospitals. Respondents who took part in this activity were 97 people with an average pretest score of 53.75 and a posttest score of 90. The activity went well and succeeded in increasing the respondents' knowledge of using drugs during fasting.
