Abstract

Customary village is small group of people who still survive and consistently preserve the culture and belief of their ancestors. Local cultural values deserve to be promoted to the application of character education in school. The qualitative research understanding the life and local cultural values is carried out in the people of Kampung Adat Cirendeu in West Java. The local culture of the Kampung Adat Cirendeu people holds the principle of ngindung ka waktu and mibapa ka jaman which has the meaning of maintaining identity but still keeping abreast of the times. One of the local cultural values that still preserves until today is the culture of cassava-based food as a substitute for rice. This culture has been going on for a century and become an inspiration for the national food diversification program. One of the preservation efforts is through the example of their ancestors. Promotion and granting food culture values to the character education in schools involve various educational stakeholders (teachers, educators, governments, people, and customary peoples) that should give an example to the students. The most effective method is to form students with character and in the end they will be familiar with local food culture and does not depend on rice. Keywords: Character education, Kampung Adat Cirendeu, Exemplary. PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER NILAI-NILAI BUDAYA LOKAL MAKANAN DI MASYARAKAT KAMPUNG ADAT CIRENDEU JAWA BARAT MELALUI KETELADANANDesa adat adalah sekelompok kecil orang yang masih bertahan dan secara konsisten melestarikan budaya dan kepercayaan nenek moyang mereka. Nilai-nilai budaya lokal layak dipromosikan untuk penerapan pendidikan karakter di sekolah. Penelitian kualitatif yang memahami kehidupan dan nilai-nilai budaya lokal ini dilakukan pada masyarakat Kampung Adat Cirendeu di Jawa Barat. Budaya lokal masyarakat Kampung Adat Cirendeu memegang prinsip ngindung ka waktu dan mibapa ka jaman yang memiliki makna mempertahankan identitas tetapi tetap mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Salah satu nilai budaya lokal yang masih dipertahankan hingga saat ini yaitu budaya makanan berbasis singkong sebagai pengganti beras. Budaya ini telah berlangsung selama satu abad dan menjadi inspirasi bagi program diversifikasi pangan nasional. Salah satu upaya pelestariannya yaitu melalui contoh dari nenek moyang mereka. Promosi dan pemberian nilai-nilai budaya makanan untuk pendidikan karakter di sekolah melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan pendidikan (guru, pendidik, pemerintah, masyarakat, dan masyarakat adat) yang harus memberikan contoh kepada siswa. Metode yang paling efektif yaitu membentuk para siswa dengan karakter dan pada akhirnya mereka akan terbiasa dengan budaya makanan lokal dan tidak bergantung pada beras. Kata kunci: Pendidikan karakter, Kampung Adat Cirendeu, teladan.

Abstract

AbstractCurrent learning tends to be focused a lot on developing memory for the content of information, not yet on efforts to train students' thinking skills to find solutions in solving a problem or making a decision. A learning process like this requires planning which is a form of teacher preparation before teaching. This study aims to identify learning planning at the Darussalam Kunir Subang Islamic Boarding School which combines the education system and teaching of the pesantrenan (salaf / traditional) with modern education. The qualitative approach with descriptive method was used to identify, describe, and analyze information needs regarding learning planning in the pesantren under study. Data collection was carried out by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results revealed that the lesson planning at the Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Kunir Subang was in the form of i'dad tadris which is a teaching preparation prepared by Asatidz. The implementation of this educational institution is based on the Ministry of Religion for the administration of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) education units. In addition, this pesantren also has a distinctive curriculum that adopts the Kuliyyatul Mu'allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) system from the Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School.AbstrakPembelajaran saat ini cenderung masih banyak difokuskan pada pengembangan daya ingat terhadap isi informasi, belum sampai pada upaya melatih keterampilan berpikir peserta didik untuk mencari solusi dalam memecahkan suatu masalah atau mengambil suatu keputusan. Proses pembelajaran seperti ini memerlukan perencanaan yang merupakan bentuk persiapan pendidik sebelum mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perencanaan pembelajaran di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Kunir Subang yang memadukan sistem metodologi pendidikan dan pengajaran kepesantrenan (salaf/tradisional) dengan pendidikan modern. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi, mendeskripsikan, dan menganalisis kebutuhan informasi mengenai perencanaan pembelajaran di pesantren yang diteliti. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Kunir Subang berupa i’dad tadris yang merupakan persiapan mengajar yang disiapkan oleh asatidz. Penyelenggaraan lembaga pendidikan ini menginduk ke Kementerian Agama untuk penyelenggaran unit pendidikan Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) dan Madrasah Aliyah (MA). Selain menginduk kepada institusi tersebut, pesantren ini juga memiliki kurikulum khas yang mengadopsi sistem Kuliyyatul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) dari Pondok Pesantren Modern Gontor.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the results of character building process in caring forothers through volunteer extracurricular activities. The method which is used is descriptive analyticalwith a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentationstudies. Findings of this study: The process of strengthening character is carried out with routinetraining every week, monthly scheduled is cleaning river, mosques and the surrounding environment,and incidental activities to provide assistance to areas affected by natural and humanitarian disasters.The result is students show a stronger caring character. Supporting factors in strengthening thecharacter are the vision and mission and also goals of the madrasa, exemplary teachers and staff,activities carried out in schools, and involvement in community activities. While the obstruct factorsare the lack of funds to carry out activities, and the factor of parental permission in dissaster area.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran fisika di lapangan sering berbenturan dengan kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran baik berupa pengelolaan kegiatan pembelajaran di laboratrium ataupun terkait hal pengetahuan lingkungan berupa literasi saintifik. Sedangkan dalam perkembangannya, kemampuan pengelolaan laboratorium dan literasi saintifik merupakan kemampuan yang harus dikuasai oleh calon guru fisika pada abad 21. Hal ini merujuk pada pentingnya kedua indikator ini dalam mempersiapkan peserta didik yang dapat bersaing di era milenial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari kemampuan pengelolaan laboratorium terhadap kesiapan calon guru fisika, pengaruh dari tingkat literasi saintifik terhadap kesiapan calon guru fisika dan pengaruh antara kemampuan pengelolaan laboratorium dan tingkat literasi saintifik terhadap kesiapan calon guru fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu causal comparative. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan fisika semester VI di UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta yang dipilih secara purposive sampling yang berjumlah 43 orang. Kategori pemilihan sampel adalah mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti perkuliahan laboratorium sekolah fisika 1 dan 2 dengan asumsi bahwa pada mata kuliah yang disajikan peserta didik mendapat pengetahuan mengenai pengelolaan laboratorium. Data dikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan instrumen berupa tes pilihan ganda dan esay untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa secara teoritis dalam hal pengelolaan laboratorium dan literasi saintifik yang dimiliki. Instrumen kedua yang disebarkan adalah angket yang berisikan pernyataan terkait sikap yang harus dilakukan calon guru pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi. Berdasarkan analsis data diperoleh hasil, yaitu tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kemampuan pengelolaan laboratorium terhadap kesiapan  calon guru fisika; tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara literasi saintifik terhadap kesiapan  calon guru fisika; dan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kemampuan pengelolaan laboratorium dan literasi saintifik terhadap kesiapan  calon guru fisika. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan untuk melakukan perbaikan dalam perencanaan program perkuliahan agar dapat mempersiapkan calon guru fisika yang lebih baik. Hal ini mengingat bahwa hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukan belum optimalnya pelaksanaan perkuliahan mengenai pengelolaan laboratorium fisika yang terutama pada indikator yang dijadikan fokus pada penelitian.The learning physics procesess in the school often clashed with the lack of ability of teachers in managing to learn such as management of learning activities in the laboratory or related environmental knowledge in the form of scientific literacy. While in the process, the ability of management of laboratory and scientific literacy is the ability that must be mastered by the prospective physics teacher in the 21st century. This refers to the importance of both these indicators in preparing learners that  can compete with the millennial era. This research aims to know the influence of laboratory management capabilities against to readiness of prospective teachers of physics, the influence of the level of scientific literacy against to readiness of prospective teachers of physics and influence between the ability management of the laboratory and scientific literacy levels against to readiness of prospective teachers of physics. The research method used, i.e. causal comparative. The sample of this research are student’s physics education VI semester at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta that is selected by purposive sampling that added  up to 43 people. The selection sample is students that have been attending school physics lab 1 and 2 with the assumption that subjects who presented the learners get knowledge about the management of the laboratory. Data collected by spreading the instruments in the form of multiple choice tests and essay to find out students ' theoretical capability in terms of the management of laboratory and scientific literacy. The second instrument are disseminated is now containing the related statement of attitude to do prospective teachers on the implementation of learning. Data that has been collected and then analysed using regression analysis. Based on results obtained data analysis, i.e. There is no significant influence of the laboratory management capabilities against to readiness of prospective teachers of physics; There were no significant effects on scientific literacy against to readiness of prospective teachers of physics; and there is no significant influence of the ability of managing the laboratory and scientific literacy against to readiness of the prospective teachers of physics. The results of this research can be of reference to make improvements in the planning program of lectures in order to prepare the better of readiness of prospective teachers of physics. It is a given that the research results obtained showed have not been optimal execution of lectures by the management of the laboratory of physics especially on indicators, which focus on research.

Abstract

Cases of negative social behavior among students happen not only in public schools but also in madrasah. Actually, madrasah should be the right place for implanting character values because they teach religious education over more hours, and does so more comprehensively than public schools. However, the fact is the process has not run effectively due to how religious education is taught merely as a knowledge. Besides, madrasah conntinue to face internal and external problems. To deal with these problems, a model of implanting cultural values and national characters using a comprehensive approach based on Lickona’s theory is one of the solutions to developing positive characters values within madrasah.  The theory recommends the adoption of an comprehensive implementation strategy inside and outside of the classroom, with it done in an integrated manner. This kind of implementation requires all parties—madrasah, parents, government and society—to be involved consistently in developing character values.DOI: 10.15408/sdi.v22i3.2356

Abstract

The decline in the quality of education in Indonesia is inseparable from the decline in the quality of teachers. Looking at this kind of reality, surely a teacher is required to keep improving his competence well. The purpose of this study is to formulate competencies that must be possessed by PAI teachers, namely religious competence, this competence needs to be developed to carry out their educational duties. Religious competence shows the commitment of PAI teachers as the main criterion so that all problems of educational behavior are faced, considered, solved and placed in an Islamic perspective. This research design uses a qualitative-descriptive approach. The research method used is literature study (literature study). The results of this study indicate that; first, the concept of religious competence with lūl 'ilmi character as a solution to improve the quality of PAI teachers. The word lūl 'ilmi is taken in the concept of the Qur'an which means a person who has knowledge based on reality, has broad insight, his intelligence is able to reach makrifat, and his heart is steadfast in monotheism because he has the level of khayyah like the scholars. Second, religious competence with lūl 'ilmi character has distinctive characteristics that are different from the others, namely that this character has Ilāhiyyah, spiritual and spiritual nuances. This feature covers 6 domains, namely the cognitive domain, the affective domain, the psychomotor domain, the social domain, the ethical realm and the spiritual realm. In conclusion, the main key to the character of lūl 'ilmi for PAI teachers is to create a strong khāyyah against his Rabb, as the cause of the knowledge he has.

Abstract

Adolescent students have psychological conditions that are easily affected because they are experiencing mental shock, a period of mental growth and feelings. Among those who can affect it is extreme understanding in religion. The entry of extreme understanding in religion includes through the extracurricular Rohis. This there needs to be an effort to internalize the character of wasathiyyah in students, especially in Rohis extracurricular activities. This research aims to identify the objectives, programs, program implementation, supporting factors and inhibiting factors and the success of the internal programisasai character wasathiyyah in rohis extracurricular. The approach used in this research is qualitative by analytical desktiptif methods. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results and conclusions of this study are: 1) The purpose of internalizing wasathiyyah characters in Rohis extracurriculars is in line with the vision of the school's mission and has led to the formation of wasathiyyah characters. 2) Program in the form of Islamic study activities, whiteness, muhadoroh and mentoring, 3) Implementation of wasathiyyah character internalization activities program in Rohis extracurriculars with teaching, motivating, habituation, and study methods. 4) Supporting factors in the form of support of principals and teachers, initiatives and ghiroh of Rohis trustees, financing and availability of infrastructure, cooperation with NGOs (NonGovernment Organisation) and alumni cooperation. Inhibiting factors are the lack of motivation of some Rohis members in activities, misconceptions about moderation, the influence of less moderate alumni and less moderate media content. 5) Successful wasathiyyah character internalization program in Rohis extracurricular at SMAN 2 Bandung and SMKN 15 Bandung It was shown by the increase in the good attitude of Rohis members at the school in terms of national commitment, tolerance and anti-violence, after participating in study, whiteness, muhadoroh, and mentoring activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the standard of educational assessment. student social. Second, to determine the learning process of developing spiritual attitudes and social attitudes in PAI (Islamic Education) learning, third to find out religious programs outside the classroom in developing spiritual attitudes and social attitudes. Fourth, reveal the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the development of spiritual attitudes and social attitudes through religious activities. Fifth, explore the results of developing spiritual attitudes and social attitudes inside and outside the classroom at Public Junior High School 2, 4 and 5 Cianjur. This research method is descriptive analytical. The results of this study are: (1) the learning process of PAI and Civics in developing spiritual attitudes and social attitudes Public Junior High School 2, 4, and 5 Cianjur has been carried out maximally with the support of all parties, (2) evaluations carried out by teachers at Public Junior High School 2, 4 and 5 on PAI and Civics learning carried out in the classroom, namely by objectively assessing students' abilities and competencies, (3) Religious activities at Public Junior High School 2, 4 and 5 have been carried out well, and (4) supporting factors in developing students' spiritual attitudes are schools working together with stakeholders, facilities and infrastructure that support these religious activities, 5. Learning models for developing spiritual attitudes and social attitudes at Public Junior High School 2, 4 and 5 Cianjur combine various learning models such as jigsaw, Gallery Walk, Debate, Discussion, Mind and Mapping.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the values, processes, supporting and inhibiting factors as well as an evaluation of the internalization of character values in students in the perspective of Islamic education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah and Madrasah Aliyah, educational institutions are not just transferring knowledge to students, but more than that the institution must be able to internalize character values to students, because education is the right place or place in building a nation of character. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical research method. The results of the study are (1) types of character values in students in the perspective of Islamic Education at MTs and MA Husnul Khotimah Kuningan Regency are straight faith, strong character, strong body, broad insight, and good at keeping time, (2) the purpose of internalizing character values in students in the perspective of Islamic Education in MTs and MA to become reliable and professional da'i cadres, (3) the process of internalizing character values in students in the perspective of Islamic Education through classical teaching and learning processes in the classroom and through the process of education and training in extracurricular activities, (4) supporting factors include student talents and interests, madrasa policies, human resources including madrasa stakeholders, facilities and infrastructure, curriculum, methods and roles of parents and alumni. While the inhibiting factor for internalizing character values in classical teaching and learning activities in the classroom and extracurricular activities is the number of activity schedules, and (5) evaluation of the internalization of character values in students in the perspective of Islamic Education in MTs and MA internalization of values using observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies

Abstract

This study examines the inculcation of national vision character qualities using Islamic education learning at Public Senior High School 1 and 11 Garut. This study uses a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive methods to obtain an empirical and objective picture, as well as to analyze a certain phenomenon/condition that is currently happening. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis was carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and data verification. The results of this study, that: (1) the cultivation of national insight character values in Islamic education learning that is applied to the two schools is effective and optimal, because it is in line with the objectives/competencies of Islamic education learning, methods, teaching materials/materials, tools or media, and evaluation of learning, (2) the programs in the two schools are carried out through several routine programs in order to have awareness of nationalism, (3) the process of inculcating the character values of national insight in these two schools has been carried out well, this is implied by their various patterns of attitudes and behavior when turning on the environment schools, (4) the supporting and inhibiting factors of these two schools consist of internal factors and external factors, and (5) the results of inculcating the character values of national insight in Islamic education learning in these two schools are students having good attitudes and behavior or character.
