Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between mental workload and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms to the performance of PTFI rescue officers. The analysis includes descriptive analysis, bivariate analysis using Chi Square test, and Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis using Partial Least Squares (PLS) program. The calculation of the data shows that PTFI rescue officers have a high overall mental workload perception, the prevalence of PTSD symptoms is 10.48%, and the overall average performance is appraised as meet expectations. The results of the SEM-PLS analysis shows that mental workload has a significant effect on performance (p-values 0.045 sig.5%) and PTSD symptoms have no effect on performance (p-values 0.885 sig.5%) but has a significant effect on mental workload (p-values 0.026 sig.5%). The Chi Square test shows a significant correlation between the predictor of assignment location with PTSD symptoms (p-values 0.019 sig.5%) and performance (p-values 0.032 sig.5%). The managerial implications then proposed to obtain healthy mental and optimal productivity of PTFI rescue officers, including handling PTSD symptoms, facilitating coping strategies, analyzing the influence of competence to mental workload, implement structured program to deal with traumatic events exposure, measuring the stress level, and measuring behavioral elements that support employees' perceptions as citizen of the organization. Keywords: mental workload, performance, PTSD symptoms, rescue officer

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of work from home on the work-life balance (WLB) and employee engagement (EE) which affects work performance of employees. A Series of surveys and interviews were conducted by distributing an online questionnaire. Sixty-seven respondents involved in the experiment were workers at PT Adira Insurance Tbk. that was assigned to work from home. The research method was descriptive and case study. The construct has good reliability for the three variables, namely WLB, EE, and employee performance with composite reliability and Cronbach's Alpha were above 0.8- 0.70, above the minimum composite reliability value and Cronbach's Alpha of 0.70 and 0.60, respectively, as per SmartPLS output. The effect of WLB on EE, WLB on performance, and EE on performance according to the original sample estimate PLS value is 0.4568, 0.1356, and 0.6957, respectively, with significances below 5%, as indicated by t-statistic values of 14.0501, 5.8591, and 38.9858, respectively, which was greater than the t-table value of 1.962. The positive original sample estimate value indicates that WLB has positive effects on EE and performance as well as EE on performance. Abstract

The importance of the role of farmers in the agribusiness system is not directly proportional to the welfare of the farmers themselves, this is because the bargaining power of farmers in the system is very low. If we look at the high capacity of rice production in Sambas Regency, it is hoped that it can be maximized by the implementation of agricultural digitization in this district, as well as being an example for the application of agricultural digitization in other districts. This study aims to to identify existing conditions that occur in agriculture in the Sambas Regency area, then analyze farmers' perceptions of agricultural digitization, and formulate a model for developing agricultural digitization to support farmers' self-reliance in Sambas. The scope of this research is only farmers in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan as a contributor to 20% of food production, especially rice in West Kalimantan Province. This research includes causality research (cause and effect). The method used in this study is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method and the analysis of the development of agricultural digitization models through the synthesis of SEM analysis and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in order to advance the analysis. The results of the study describe farmers' perceptions, farmer characteristics, and the role of assistants farming has a significant influence on agricultural digitization, but for farmers' perceptions the effect is negative. Keywords: agricultural digitalization, assistants farming, farmer characteristics, farmers perception, FGD, SEM

Abstract

Currently, the Jakarta water is suffering from a high level of pollution, both the groundwater or the river. This is mainly caused by domestic wastewater disposal that has not been properly controlled. Efforts to develop domestic wastewater management are inadequate. Infrastructure development is very slow, the community participation and care, the wastewater management competencies and capacities are all very low. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the role of domestic wastewater management operators and regulators, to accelerate the construction of domestic wastewater treatment infrastructure, improve the participation and care of the community, and to improve the competence and capacity of domestic wastewater management service managers. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the operators and regulators in the development of domestic wastewater management in DKI Jakarta. To achieve this goal, this study was conducted using the method of interpretive structural modeling (ISM) as a method for analyzing the interrelationships between institutions in the framework of developing domestic wastewater management. The result of this study shows that the key institutions that could accelerate the wastewater infrastructure development are the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, National Development Planning Agency, and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. The key institutions in enhancing the participation and care of the community are the Water Resources Office, the Environmental Office and the regional owned company Managing DKI Jakarta Waste Water. The key institutions related to improving the competence and capacity of domestic wastewater service managers are the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.

Abstract

Licensing is one way for business actors to formalize business. Without licensing, businesses are unable to move to the formal sector and get a variety of benefits such as coaching programs, tax incentives and getting credit or capital assistance, especially from banks and legal guarantees. Nevertheless, business operators consider that licensing services are still not optimal. Business actors' complaints include inefficient and effective services caused by weak institutional aspects. Institutional improvement of the Capital Investment Agency and the One-Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) to reach the prime point will have an impact on the ease of service and improve the investment climate. The main method used in this study is the Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) supported using Regulatory Mapping (Regmap) to determine the regulatory map that contributes to the institutional aspects of DPMPTSP. The results of the analysis revealed that the root cause of the weakness of DPMPTSP's institutions was the absence of DPMPTSP's institutional improvement program. The root causes of these problems contribute to some of the problems in optimizing DPMPTSP institutions such as the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) that is not updated, the lack of competence of the implementing apparatus, the delay in anticipating changes in regulations of the central authority. Alternative corrective actions from the results of the analysis are the devolution of authority for licensing services, preparation of guidelines for Standard Procedure Norms Criteria (NSPK), institutional regulation updates, preparation of local regulations related to institutional implementation, SOP formulation of licensing services, placement of technical human resources, and development of infrastructure facilities.
