Abstract

Knowledge management plays a crucial role in enhancing institutional competitiveness within the rapidly evolving knowledge-based economy. This study aims to formulate effective knowledge manage-ment strategies for the Applied Manufacturing Engineering Undergraduate Program at T University, which faces structural challenges, including an aging faculty demographic and audit findings indicating low competitiveness. A quantitative, descriptive-analytical approach was employed, integrating the American Productivity and Quality Centre (APQC) model, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and the TAIDA (Tracking, Analyzing, Imaging, Deciding, Acting) framework. The APQC model assessed knowledge management maturity, AHP identified strategic priorities, and TAIDA guided scenario deve-lopment. Findings reveal four strategic priorities are developing an integrated digital platform, strengthening industry collaboration and co-creation, optimizing local and tacit knowledge, and imple-menting community-based governance. The integrated APQC–AHP–TAIDA approach improved knowl-edge flow efficiency, bridged intergenerational gaps, and enhanced competitiveness through adaptive go-vernance. The study concludes by recommending a digital evaluation model for curriculum and research partnerships, as well as human resource regeneration policies oriented toward sustainable vocational knowledge management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the gig economy on social and environmental performance in the online transportation platform sector in the Greater Jakarta area by comparing the perspectives of platform companies and gig workers (driver partners). This study uses a case study design with a mixed method combining Likert scale questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The respondents consist of 183 platform company employees and 101 driver partners from various online transportation companies. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistical approaches and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). The results indicate that the gig economy significantly impacts social and environmental performance from both perspectives, though with differing levels of perception. Driver partners tend to experience stronger positive impacts regarding work flexibility, income opportunities, and involvement in environmental efforts, yet they still face challenges such as income instability, limited job protection, and unequal access to social programs. Platform companies acknowledge the gig economy's contribution to social and environmental aspects, though with a more moderate assessment. These findings underscore the importance of integrating social and environmental dimensions into core business strategies, as well as the need to incorporate driver partners' input to strengthen the sustainability and inclusivity of the gig economy ecosystem in the future.

Abstract

Psychological research on climate change, dominated by Global North “eco-anxiety,” fails to capture the lived reality of the Global South. This ethnocentric bias overlooks the profound, place-based distress experienced by frontline communities facing immediate environmental degradation. This study aimed to investigate the manifestations of solastalgia and eco-anxiety and identify indigenous psychological adaptation strategies using a community-based participatory approach in the Global South. A Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) framework, employing a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, was implemented in two climate-vulnerable sites (coastal Southeast Asia and agrarian Sahel, N=804). Qualitative methods informed the co-development of the Community Climate Distress and Resilience Scale (CCD-RS). Findings revealed that “solastalgia” (present-tense, place-based grief) is the dominant psychological burden, significantly superseding future-oriented ‘eco-anxiety’. Qualitative analysis identified local idioms of distress (e.g., “the sea is tired”). Resilience was not an individual trait but a collective process, strongly predicted by involvement in community rituals (\beta = .31, p < .001). The study provides an empirical corrective to the ethnocentric bias in climate psychology, demonstrating that psychological adaptation in the Global South is collective and place-based.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyzes the relationship between organizational life cycle characteristics and survivability of a digital startup in the early stage. In establishing new startup and managing early stage, founders have been facing two-fold pages. On one side, the opportunities exploration and exploitation require freedom to acts. On the other side, newly organization faces liability of newness traps that consider organizational formalization and organizational capability. The relationship among aspects is formulated as two-paths mediating roles on the impact of liability of newness and startup survivability. Questionnaires were distributed to 415 respondents in Greater Jakarta City, Indonesia. The study considered Jakarta represented Indonesian digital startup ecosystem. This newly established and still developing startup ecosystem that characterizes the early stages of OLC is considered relevant to the study. The data was analyzed quantitatively using SEM method. The result shows the linkage between the two-paths of mediating role. Since the opportunities are central of mindset for survivability, external legitimacy becomes antecedents of external opportunities as well as reliability and accountability required from organizational formalization and capability. Founders need to understand and translate the impact of liability of newness to establish an appropriate and better organization formalization and organization capability for startup survivability. This study contributes to enrich the early stage of organizational life cycle theory as well as to enhance startup founders’ managerial practices.

Abstract

Currently, 70% of the composition of Indonesia Financial Service Authority (OJK) employees are millennials, therefore OJK has an interest in maintaining the commitment of these millennial employees to maintain OJK performance in the future. The purpose of this research is to develop HR management scenarios to increase the commitment of OJK millennial employees, which is preceded by a study on the effect of the generation gap, organizational culture, employee engagement, and location fit on organizational commitment using the Mann- Whitney test, PLS-SEM, and scenario planning. The results of the Mann-Whitney test show that currently there is a generation gap at OJK, further results from the PLS-SEM show that the generation gap, organizational culture, and employee engagement have a significant effect on organizational commitment, including the mediating effect of employee engagement and the moderating effect of location fit according to organizational commitment show the same result. Based on the test results, an HR management strategy was developed to increase the commitment of OJK millennial employees by using a scenario planning millennial approach in four scenarios: optimal, aggressive, selective, and minimal.

Abstract

Human Resource Analytics (HRA) has emerged as a strategic capability that enables organizations to make data-driven and evidence-based human capital decisions. However, its adoption remains uneven and conceptually fragmented. This study systematically reviews the drivers, barriers, and ethical considerations influencing the organizational adoption of HRA between 2015 and 2025. A structured search was conducted exclusively in the Scopus database following the PRISMA 2020 protocol to ensure transparency and replicability. From an initial corpus of 295 records, 67 studies met the inclusion criteria after duplicate removal, relevance screening, and full-text assessment. The synthesis shows that the Resource-Based View (RBV) remains the dominant theoretical foundation, complemented by Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) and Socio-Technical Systems perspectives. Technological readiness, top management support, and external support commonly enable adoption, while data quality, analytical capability, and privacy issues remain key barriers. Ethical and sustainability concerns – particularly fairness, transparency, and responsible data governance – are increasingly emphasized in recent studies. This review provides a structured synthesis and future research agenda bridging theoretical and practical perspectives, offering insights for strengthening analytics governance, organizational capability, and evidence-based decision cultures.

Abstract

The educational transformation of Society 5.0 has increasingly positioned machines as autonomous pedagogical agents, raising critical questions about the relationship between adab and algorithms in Islamic education. This study aimed to analyze the dialectic between these two constructs, address the literature gap concerning the ethical depletion risks associated with artificial intelligence, and examine the threat such developments pose to the sacredness of knowledge transmission in the Islamic tradition. More specifically, the study sought to deconstruct claims that machines can assume the role of the teacher while reaffirming the primacy of the human educator. Employing a descriptive-philosophical literature design, the study used purposive selection of authoritative works by Ashʿarī, al-Zarnūjī, al-Ghazālī, Ibn Khaldūn, and al-Ḥaddād, which were dialectically synthesized with 21 articles from reputable international journals published between 2021 and 2026 and verified through Scimago Journal Rank. The findings indicate that, ontologically, machines function only as pedagogical tools because they lack spirit and nafs, and therefore cannot form learners who require spiritual exemplarity (uswah). The study’s main theoretical contribution is the formulation of the Adab-Based Hybrid Authority (ABHA) model as a framework for integrating technology on the basis of moral-spiritual authority. The study concludes that within the digital educational ecosystem, machines should be repositioned as supporting instruments, while humans must remain the muʿaddib. This conclusion reinforces a human-centric paradigm in the philosophy of Islamic education and highlights the practical need to redefine the teacher’s role as a moral filter. The study therefore recommends redesigning teacher education curricula on the basis of digital ethics and identifies future research opportunities concerning the long-term psycho-spiritual impact of AI interaction in Islamic educational institutions.
