Abstract

This research is motivated by the need to teach the values of religious moderation at the senior secondary education level as a response to the phenomenon of spiritual understanding of some groups in Indonesian society, which tend to be extreme. Considering that at the senior secondary education level, entering an age vulnerable to influences both from within and outside education. Therefore, it is essential to internalize the purpose of this research, especially in the Madrasah Aliyah (MA) environment. Otherwise, a qualitative approach with a field study research design will gradually lead to national instability. Data were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation of actual conditions and facts that occurred in the field, supported by books, the latest journals and other sources in the form of related information. Data analysis was performed by condensation, presentation and verification. The implementation of religious moderation is pursued in 4 strategies, namely, First, insert moderation content in each lesson. It is second, optimizing the learning approach. Third, organizing specific programs, education, training and debriefing. Fourth, the teacher makes observations simultaneously. The implementation of religious moderation within Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Al-Huda has been running, realized in textbooks of integral and interconnected subjects, starting from regulation to the level of learning.

Abstract

Pendidikan hijau (Green Education) merupakan salah satu pendekatan dalam pendidikan yang merespon masalah lingkungan serta mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keberlanjutan ke dalam kurikulum dan budaya sekolah. Tujuannya adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap kepada siswa agar mereka menjadi warga negara yang bertanggung jawab dan proaktif dalam melindungi dan melestarikan lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian metode kualitatif dengan jenis studi pustaka, yaitu sebuah tinjauan terhadap literatur dengan mengumpulkan data konseptual maupun fakta teoritis berdasarkan persepsi peneliti. Dalam pembahasannya bahwa peran green education dalam menanggapi permasalahan stunting nasional secara langung bersinggungan dengan isu lingkungan, seperti perubahan iklim, pencemaran, krisis air, dan lainnya. Strategi dan praktik yang dapat diterapkan di lingkungan sekolah, seperti mengintegrasikan konten keberlanjutan ke dalam kurikulum, menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang aktif dan partisipatif, serta menciptakan budaya sekolah yang mendukung praktik berkelanjutan dan pelestarian lingkungan. Kesimpulannya, green education merupakan salah satu paradigma penting dalam mengatasi tantangan lingkungan. Dengan memberikan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan yang tepat kepada siswa, pendidikan hijau dapat membantu menciptakan masa depan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

E-module is one of the media that is considered efficient to be used as a learning media. This research describes the e-module of addictive substances integrated with Islamic values as a solution in preventing and reducing addictive substance abuse, especially among adolescents, by providing scientific knowledge related to religious knowledge. The study aims to analyze the characteristic of e-module and validation results. The e- module is designed with the Design-Based Research (DBR) method with the three steps: analysis, design, and development. Based on the results, the e-module display Islamic views and their interpretation, animated videos, questions, attitude tests, and games. The validation result indicates that the e-module is valid and feasible to be used as a learning media.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara multikultural dengan beragam suku, bahasa, dan agama, dihadapkan pada tantangan dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang inklusif dan menghargai perbedaan. Keberagaman ini menjadi kekayaan bangsa yang harus dijaga dan dilestarikan. Pendidikan Islam sebagai salah satu pilar pendidikan di Indonesia, memiliki peran penting dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai universalnya untuk diintegrasikan dengan pendidikan multikultural untuk membangun generasi penerus yang toleran dan menghargai keragaman. Implementasi pendidikan multikultural dalam praktik pendidikan Islam di Indonesia perlu dilakukan untuk mempersiapkan generasi muda dalam menghadapi tantangan global dalam masyarakat yang semakin beragam. Artikel ini membahas implementasi pendidikan multikultural dalam praktik pendidikan Islam di Indonesia, dengan mengkaji konsep pendidikan multikultural dan pendidikan Islam, serta strategi implementasinya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of cross-cultural reflection within the context of multicultural education, focusing on understanding the dynamics of cultural diversity in the classroom. This research uses an ethnographic method with a qualitative approach. The research data were obtained through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis in several multicultural schools in Indonesia. Data analysis Involves identifying recurring themes, patterns, and ideas within the data, process of comparing data segments to identify similarities and differences, focuses on the stories and experiences shared by participants. The findings indicate that cross-cultural education plays an important role in improving intercultural understanding, motivating students, and creating a more inclusive learning environment. The integration of local culture into learning through the use of folklore and traditional practices has proven effective in increasing student engagement. In addition, the results of the study reveal the need for further training for teachers in adopting an ethnopedagogical approach to overcome learning barriers due to cultural differences.

Abstract

Kajian riset tentang pluralisme dan multikulturalisme menjadi semakin penting dalam konteks globalisasi dan perubahan sosial yang terus berlangsung. Tulisan ini menyajikan sebuah kajian mendalam terhadap riset-riset terkini mengenai pluralisme dan multikulturalisme, khususnya dalam konteks Indonesia. Dengan menganalisis berbagai penelitian yang telah dilakukan dalam bidang ini, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi dalam mempromosikan harmoni antar-etnis, agama, dan budaya di Indonesia. Penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi pendekatan, strategi, dan praktik terbaik yang dapat diterapkan dalam memperkuat pluralisme dan multikulturalisme di Indonesia. Diharapkan kajian ini dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi para akademisi, praktisi, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam memperkuat kerangka kerja untuk membangun masyarakat yang inklusif dan toleran di Indonesia. Selain itu, kajian ini juga menguraikan pentingnya pendekatan multikultural dalam merancang kurikulum, pengembangan materi pembelajaran, dan pelatihan guru. Dengan memperkuat kompetensi interkultural guru dan mengintegrasikan perspektif multikultural ke dalam proses pendidikan, sistem pendidikan Indonesia dapat menjadi lebih responsif terhadap keberagaman yang ada. Selanjutnya, kajian ini menyoroti pentingnya pembangunan kapasitas institusi pendidikan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif dan menghargai keberagaman, sehingga menciptakan landasan yang kokoh untuk perkembangan masyarakat yang berbudaya dan harmonis di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of multiculturalism and gender values in the Arabic language learning process at Islamic universities. Using qualitative research methods, the study analyzes learning content through observations and interviews. The findings reveal that multicultural and gender values are embedded in the textbooks used and are also reflected in the approaches, strategies, methods, and techniques employed by lecturers. These values are consistently emphasized throughout the Arabic language learning process. The results of this study provide valuable insights for further research on Arabic language education, particularly in the context of multiculturalism and gender equality. Unlike previous research, this study simultaneously addresses these two critical issues in education, highlighting that multicultural education cannot be fully effective without also considering gender equality as an integral part of the learning process.

Abstract

Curriculum according to wikipedia Indonesian is a set of subjects and educational programs provided by an educational institution that contains lesson designs that will be given to lesson participants in one period of education. Etymologically, curriculum comes from English, namely the word curriculum which means lesson plan (Echolz:1984). The word Curriculum itself comes from the word "Currere which means to run fast, rush, explore, live, and strive (Hassibuan:1979). In Webster's 1857 dictionary, curriculum is clearly defined as the design of a number of subjects that students must master in order to move up or get a diploma (complete their studies). According to Soedijarto, the curriculum is a series of learning experiences and activities that are planned to be overcome by students in order to achieve the learning goals that have been set by an authorized educational institution. As for Indonesia, in Law No.20 of 2003 article 1 paragraph (19), the constitution states that the curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, content and learning materials as well as the methods used as guidelines for the implementation of learning activities to achieve certain educational goals. The issue of global warming which results in climate change so as to aggravate the decline in the quality of the environment therefore it is necessary to carry out environmental protection and management starting from the world of education. It was Mr. H. Suwondo, B.A who pioneered and initiated that SMA 1 Pandeglang at that time had just occupied a new land, the conditions were not comfortable and reflective for teaching and learning activities. Continued by Drs. H. Epi Saefudin, M. Pd, the Principal at that time and an educator who was also an observer and environmentalist. With various steps, lobbying, communication and starting from the 2008/2009 school year, SMA Negeri 1 Pandeglang was appointed as one of the adiwiyata schools. Education unit curriculum (KTSP) by integrating the curriculum of environmental-based education units or adiwiyata. Marked by the content of the lesson curriculum combines school-based and Adiwiyata.Adiwiyata as a school program aims to create good conditions for the school to become a place of learning and a place of awareness of school residents, both educators, education staff, students and the community around the school, in an effort to encourage environmental rescue and sustainable development which can finally realize a school that cares and has an environmental culture

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country, both ethnic, religious, cultural, regional languages from Sabang to Merauke. On the one hand, this diversity is a gift for the Indonesian nation, but if it is not handled wisely, these differences have the potential to become a source of conflict for this nation. This study aims to discuss the urgency of multicultural education in Indonesia which focuses on its characteristics and application in the educational environment. The results of the study show that multicultural education is a must so that people do not only know about the diversity that exists but also have a practical and positive attitude towards diversity. Therefore, this multicultural education must be instilled as early as possible to the next generation of our nation in order to maintain the unity of this nation amidst the differences that exist.
