Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis remains a global health problem, and antioxidant deficiencies such as vitamin E contribute to increased oxidative stress in patients. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of vitamin E supplementation on the effectiveness of pulmonary tuberculosis treatment through a systematic review based on PRISMA 2020 guidelines. This systematic review included clinical and observational studies investigating the relationship between vitamin E and pulmonary tuberculosis. Literature searches were conducted in PubMed and Google Scholar (2008–2021) using the keywords “Vitamin E,” “Tuberculosis,” and “Lung.” Methodological quality was assessed using the JBI Checklist and Cochrane RoB2. The process was carried out at the Faculty of Medicine, Muslim University of Indonesia, Makassar, from March to August 2024. Secondary data from published studies were used; therefore, ethical approval was not required. Six studies met the inclusion criteria, consisting of two randomized controlled trials, two in vitro studies, one case–control study, and one cross-sectional study. The synthesis results showed that vitamin E supplementation consistently reduced oxidative stress, as indicated by a significant decrease in malondialdehyde (MDA) levels and an increase in enzyme activity. In addition, vitamin E improved inflammatory status through reduced C-reactive protein (CRP) levels and increased serum leptin, as well as enhanced cellular immune responses through elevated IL-2 and IFN-γ levels. Overall, vitamin E supplementation contributed to improved treatment effectiveness and quality of life in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.Vitamin E supplementation has potential as an adjuvant therapy that enhances the effectiveness of pulmonary tuberculosis treatment through antioxidant and immunomodulatory mechanisms.

Abstract

Keberlanjutan pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tertua di Indonesia menuntut adanya sistem pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang terencana dan adaptif terhadap perubahan zaman. Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah Kendal menjadi representasi nyata bagaimana penguatan SDM melalui pendidikan tinggi dapat menjadi strategi kunci dalam menjaga eksistensi dan relevansi lembaga. Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada perlunya sistem kaderisasi yang tidak hanya berbasis tradisi, tetapi juga berorientasi akademik dan profesional agar pesantren tetap mampu menjawab tantangan modernitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen untuk memahami dinamika kaderisasi berbasis pendidikan sarjana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengkaderan sumber daya manusia melalui pendidikan sarjana berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi pedagogis, profesional, dan manajerial. Selain itu, kolaborasi pesantren dengan perguruan tinggi berhasil memperluas jejaring kelembagaan dan memperkuat reputasi institusi. Program kaderisasi ini juga memastikan kesinambungan nilai dan visi pesantren melalui guru-guru yang berilmu, berakhlak, dan berjiwa kepemimpinan. Dengan demikian, strategi cadre by design yang diterapkan Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah terbukti menjadi model pengembangan SDM berkelanjutan yang mampu memperkuat kualitas pendidikan Islam dan menjamin kelangsungan lembaga di masa depan.

Abstract

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) or Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding employs a tungsten electrode and argon shielding gas to protect the molten metal from atmospheric contamination, resulting in strong and permanent joints. SS400 steel, widely used due to its favorable mechanical properties, can be welded using this method. However, weld quality is strongly influenced by variations in welding current. Too low a current leads to shallow penetration, while excessive current may cause defects and microstructural damage. This study aims to analyze the effect of GTAW current variation on the tensile strength, hardness, and microstructure of SS400 steel with different thicknesses (1.2 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm). A total of 27 specimens were tested using an experimental method. Tensile strength was evaluated with a universal testing machine, hardness was measured using the Rockwell test, and microstructure was analyzed through metallography. The results show that hardness and tensile strength values are affected by the combination of welding current and plate thickness. Lower current increases hardness, while higher current reduces it. Yield strength and tensile strength decrease with increasing current and thickness due to higher heat input, while elongation varies depending on plate conditions. The microstructure reveals that martensite forms only in medium-thickness plates (5 mm), whereas thin and thick plates are dominated by ferrite and pearlite with grain growth at higher currents.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of teachers in designing online-based learning during the pandemic, and teachers do not yet have the competence to integrate the Blended Learning learning model packaged in the Audacity Application with the subject matter of History at SMA Labschool. This research has an urgency to be carried out, so that through this research will give birth to new innovations in combining the blended learning model with the Audacity application in the history learning process by raising local historical values ​​as a lesson package in high school. This research is oriented towards new breakthroughs in facing the industrial revolution era. In this study, the problems are 1. How to apply the blended learning model using the Audacity Application in History lessons at SMA Labschool and 2. How to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Blended Learning Model using the Audacity Application to History Lessons in Senior High Schools in Central Sulawesi. The purpose of this study is oriented to determine the pattern of application of the blended learning learning model using the Audacity Application in history lessons at Senior High Schools in Central Sulawesi. Thus, Labschool SMA teachers by applying the blended learning model combined with the Audacity Application will facilitate the learning process. This research is a qualitative research which is studied using a blended learning model approach as the basis in the learning process combined with Audacity technology as a medium in delivering history subject matter in high schools throughout Central Sulawesi. The application of the blended learning learning model which in principle will be one of the solutions and breakthroughs to overcome the difficulties of the learning process at SMA Labschool. Thus, this research process will make it easier for teachers to transfer knowledge to students as objects in the learning process at SMA Labschool. This research is also a novelty that was carried out as a breakthrough in the history learning process at SMA Labschool.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) among Grade IV students in IPAS (Integrated Science and Social Studies) learning, particularly in the theme “Caring for the Environment” at SD Negeri Masadian. Conventional teaching methods still dominate, limiting students’ opportunities to think critically and solve problems independently. The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of an inquiry-based learning model and examine its impact on students’ HOTS. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving 30 students of Grade IV, along with the school principal, classroom teacher, and IPAS subject teacher. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and HOTS-based tests. The findings showed significant improvements in three core competencies: (1) analytical skills, seen in students’ ability to break down environmental issues and present logical arguments; (2) synthesis skills, reflected in integrating diverse information into data-driven solutions; and (3) evaluative skills, demonstrated by assessing information sources, comparing alternatives, and making evidence-based decisions. In conclusion, the inquiry-based approach effectively enhanced students’ critical, reflective, and integrative thinking, enabling them to connect IPAS concepts with real-life environmental challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development, implementation, and symbolic meanings of the Petambuli customary practice within the wedding tradition of the Kaili ethnic community in Kayumalue Ngapa, Palu City. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Petambuli tradition has undergone notable transformations over time, particularly in the use of ritual instruments, traditional attire, and the customary dialogues performed during the ceremony. Despite these changes, the core values and philosophical essence of the tradition remain preserved. Petambuli is regarded as a sacred procession symbolizing respect and the readiness of the groom before entering the bride’s family home. Moreover, ritual objects such as the doke, tinggora, buya kae lapa, and dulang carry symbolic meanings that represent perseverance, courage, harmony, and ceremonial completeness. Overall, the Petambuli tradition plays a vital role in sustaining the cultural heritage of the Kaili community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media digital Canva dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi di SMP Negeri 2 Woja. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan menulis puisi siswa, yang ditandai dengan karya puisi yang cenderung monoton dan kurang kreatif. Kondisi tersebut dipengaruhi oleh proses pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru serta minimnya pemanfaatan media digital sebagai sarana pendukung pembelajaran menulis. Pembelajaran yang kurang variatif menyebabkan siswa kurang termotivasi dan tidak memiliki ruang yang cukup untuk mengembangkan imajinasi serta kreativitas dalam menulis puisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Woja, dengan dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas VIIIa sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan media digital Canva dan kelas VIIIb sebagai kelompok kontrol yang diberikan pembelajaran secara konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes menulis puisi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji statistik untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis puisi siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelompok eksperimen sebesar 84,58 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 74,65. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan media digital Canva efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa serta mendorong kreativitas dan motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation, potential, and challenges of Islamic monetary policy in Indonesia in supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Despite Indonesia's status as the world's largest Muslim-majority country and its significant market potential for Islamic financial products, there are considerable gaps in the implementation of Islamic monetary policy. These gaps include low financial literacy, regulatory frameworks that are not yet fully supportive, and infrastructure limitations. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the implementation of Islamic monetary policy, analyze the challenges it faces, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance its effectiveness. The research methodology involves the analysis of secondary data from government reports and related institutions, as well as a literature review on Islamic monetary policy and best practices in other countries. Abstract

Early childhood education is key to developing children's potential. Early childhood education aims to build a strong foundation for children's physical, mental, and social development. To develop this potential, teachers need to be creative in their teaching. One example of this is how teachers are able to create appropriate learning media. This study aims to examine the extent to which teachers can utilize simple materials as learning media at An-Nisa Islamic Kindergarten and to find out why teachers are less interested in utilizing simple materials as media at An-Nisa Kindergarten in Sungai Pinang Village, Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This study uses a qualitative research method. This study is a population study. The subjects of this study are four teachers at An-Nisa Islamic Kindergarten in Sungai Pinang Village, Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews. Meanwhile, data analysis was performed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of this study are as follows: 1. A total of 14 topics (38.88%) of learning were carried out using simple materials as learning media. 2. A total of 22 topics (61.11%) used digital/manufactured media.

Abstract

Data nasional menurut Kementerian Kesehatan Indonesia bahwa pada tahun 2014, 13%-18% anak balita di Indonesia mengalami kelainan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Untukmengetahui efektivitas stimulasi media edukatif audio video dan alat permainan terhadapperkembangan kognitif pada bayi usia 0 – 12 bulan di posyandu wilayah KledungKradenan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Pra-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Twogroup pretest posttest by statistic group comparison. Populasi penelitian yaitu 33orang,Sample penelitian adalah bayi usia 0-12 bulan dengan populasi 30 orang dan teknikyang digunakan yaitu teknik purposive sampling dengan menggunakan uji analisa datawilcoxon untuk mengetahui pengaruh perkembangan kognitif dan uji mann- whitney untukmengetahui hasil efektivitas. Hasil Uji yang telah kami lakukan yaitu kami menggunakanuji wilcoxon untuk mengetahui pengaruh perkembangan kognitif dan pada kelompokintervensi didapatkan hasil data nilai sig. (0.001) < (0,05), sehingga Ho ditolak. Dan padakelompok kontrol didapatkan hasil data nilai sig.
