Abstract

Housing with Islamic concepts is starting to grow rapidly at this time. It is not uncommon for Islamic housing to be interpreted with the concept of housing without usury transactions, even though the concept includes six aspects of Maqasid Shariah, namely protecting religion, protecting the soul, protecting the mind, protecting offspring, protecting property, and protecting the environment. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the existing housing in Sentul, such as Azzikra, Griya Asri, and Victoria housing in Bogor Indonesia, on the basis of Maqasid Shariah. Using a quantitative approach and simple addictive research method, we found that in general indicators, all housing estates have conducted Islamic housing development in accordance with Maqasid Shariah. However, in this study we found that the housing that in overall indicators is almost close to fulfilling the Maqasid Shariah criteria is Victoria housing. In the future, this index is expected to become an alternative indexation for sharia-based housing.

Abstract

This research focuses on examining the Nyadran ritual in Sono Ageng Village, Nganjuk Regency, approached through the relationship between tradition, social norms, and fiqh of civilization. The study used a qualitative approach with phenomenology as a method, utilizing John F. Haught's theory on the relationship between religion and culture, and both primary and secondary data. This study has three findings: First, Nyadran is an annual tradition containing the meaning of slametan, prayers, means to strengthen social relations, and respect for ancestors or forefathers who have greatly contributed to establishing the Sono Ageng Village. Second, although Nyadran was initially known to the public as a local tradition, subsequent developments reveal that Nyadran underwent a process of acculturation with the values and teachings of the Islamic religion. The relationship between religion and culture in the Nyadran tradition is formed through a process of contact and confirmation. Third, from a Fiqh of Civilization perspective, the values contained in Nyadran includes gratitude for Allah's blessings, prayers for ancestors, a place for friendship, and a true transformation of social values in line with the visions of Fiqh of civilization. The implication of this study is the maintaining traditions and social harmony within the paradigm of Fiqh of Civilization to create an attitude of tolerance and moderation in the life of a pluralistic society.

Abstract

Indonesia is home to teachings and manuscripts that advocate moderation in life. One such cultural manifestation is the Serat Cebolek manuscript, written by Yasadipura I. This manuscript narrates the theological conflict between Hajj Mutamakkin and Ketib Anom. The objective of this article is to examine the efforts towards religious moderation undertaken by Sunan Paku Buwana II, as depicted in the Serat Cebolek manuscript. This study employed library research, utilizing a biographical approach. Data was collected through documentation techniques, drawing from printed sources and texts pertaining to Serat Cebolek. The study reveals that Paku Buwana II’s decision to forgive Haji Mutamakkin exemplifies the characters of a moderate leader. The king pardoned Haji Mutamakkin’s actions, albeit with the stipulation that he refrain from disseminating his knowledge among the kingdom’s populace. In the context of Javanese ethical values, Sunan Paku Buwana epitomizes a “Ratu Adil” or a just ruler. This study reinforces the discourse on religious moderation, particularly through an exploration of historical contexts. The king’s attitude serves as a valuable exemplar for contemporary leaders grappling with the issue of religious fundamentalism in Indonesia.

Abstract

The author limits the comparison between Minangkabau commentators on two commentators, namely Mahmud Yunus and Buya Hamka with their commentary products Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-Karim by Mahmud Yunus and Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka. The background of this research departs from the problem of literacy in Indonesia which is in a low class from all over the world according to a survey conducted by PISA (Program for International Student Assessment), which is in 62nd position out of 70 countries. In fact, according to statistical data, Indonesia is a country with a predominantly Muslim population. The Qur'an as the main source of religion and the life of its people has indicated a strong suggestion to form literate human character through the first prophecy received by the Prophet Muhammad. Besides that, the same social background of the two interpreters made the writer interested in examining socio-cultural values in the interpretations carried out by the two, especially in verses regarding literacy. This study uses the muqarran method (comparison/comparison) in the context of comparing the interpretations of one commentator with another. The type of this research is library research which collects data from written sources with the main sources being Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-Karim and Tafsir Al-Azhar, and will also be supported and complemented by related written sources. such as journals, books regarding interpretation, and others. This research resulted in an understanding that there was no disagreement or significant difference in the meaning of the verses between the two commentators. While the difference between the two lies in the method of explanation used in which Mahmud Yunus chose a concise and global interpretation path, while Buya Hamka interpreted the verse with a detailed explanation and included several supporting histories to complete his interpretation. Departing from the socio-culture of the two exegetes, the writer finds the existence of cultural values in the interpretation of the two which is shown in the form of the choice of local words, the use of local expressions, and the conditions that occur locally.

Abstract

Governments have the responsibility to manage resources, design policies, and ensure equitable access to education. Participatory decisions and partnerships with various parties are also important aspects of this effort. With an effective role, the government can form an education system that is more inclusive, equitable, and relevant to the needs of the community, which in turn will have a positive impact on the development of future generations and the growth of the country as a whole. The purpose of this study is to describe and see the importance of improving the quality of education through the education administration system to be implemented as one of the benchmarks for education quality. The method used in this study uses a bibliometric approach with network analysis techniques that can describe the relationship of keywords with the main focus of the study. The results showed that the role of the government in improving the quality of education is a key factor in the formation of a quality education system. (1) Policy Formulation. Local governments have the authority to design education policies that suit the needs and characteristics of their region. This includes the development of local curricula, special education programs, and education-related regulations. (2) Provision of Access to Education. Local governments must ensure that all citizens in their areas have equal access to education.

Abstract

The research focuses on enhancing the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the Human Resources Development Agency for the City of Bima, aiming to achieve world-class standards. The study addresses challenges, including low competence, limited innovation, inadequate IT and foreign language proficiency, and a constrained entrepreneurial mindset. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involves interviews with key informants such as the Regional Secretary, Government Assistant, Social Welfare representative, Head of BPSDM, and Head of the Competency Development Division. Additionally, observation and documentation methods were utilized to explore and resolve the research problems. The findings reveal that the current bureaucratic reform measures to develop the State Civil Apparatus into a world-class ASN have not been effective and have yet reached their full potential. Improvements in ASN achievements are essential within the framework of SMART ASN. Identified as the main obstacles to achieving world-class status by 2024 are the existing capacities of ASN, including professionalism, IT and foreign language proficiency, global awareness, and entrepreneurial spirit. In light of these findings, the study proposes implementing more stringent policies within the ASN community to yield more satisfactory outcomes in their journey toward becoming world-class innovative civil servants.
