Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir reflektif merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang perlu dimiliki oleh calon guru matematika agar dikemudian hari menjadi guru yang profesional. Pengembangan karakteristik berpikir reflektif ini dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji apakah terdapat hubungan antara efikasi diri sebagai variabel bebas, terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Reflektif mahasiswa calon guru matematika sebagai variabel terikat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Instrumen yang dipergunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa angket efikasi diri dan angket kemampuan berpikir reflektif. Penelitian ini melibatkan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika semester VII yang berlokasi di Jawa Barat. Analisis data yang dilakukan dengan melakukan uji korelasi dan regresi linier. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif efikasi diri terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Reflektif calon guru matematika. Reflective thinking is one of the abilities the pre-service mathematics teachers need to have to become professional teachers in the future. The development of this reflective thinking characteristic is influenced by many factors. This study examined the correlation between self-efficacy, as an independent variable, on the reflective thinking attributes of pre-service mathematics teacher as a dependent variable. This quantitative study utilized the correlational method. The instruments used in data collection were self-efficacy and reflective thinking attributes questionnaires. This study involved teacher students of the seventh semester of the Mathematics Education study program. The data analysis was carried out by performing correlation and linear regression tests. The results of the analysis showed that there was a positive effect of self-efficacy on the reflective thinking attributes of pre-service mathematics teachers.

Abstract

Melatih kemampuan berpikir komputasional mahasiswa membuka peluang untuk lebih menguasi konsep, menganalisis permasalahan, dan membangun solusi dunia nyata. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kemampuan berpikir komputational mahasiswa Pendidikan Ilmu Komputer berupa kemampuan abstraksi, dekomposisi, berpikir algoritmik, dan generalisasi. Metode penelitian yaitu studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pembelajaran dilakukan kepada 40 mahasiswa semester 1 (satu) secara kolaboratif dalam penyelesaian masalah luas daerah dengan pendekatan limit. Pada akhir pembelajaran mahasiswa diberikan soal tes kemampuan berpikir komputasional mahasiswa. Jawaban tes setiap mahasiswa dianalisis dari segi sisi fungsi mental yang muncul untuk mengetahui karakteristik akusisi kemampuan penyelesaian masalah. Pada penelitian yang telah dilakukan mahasiswa dikategorikan dalam kelompok novice, advanced beginner, competent, proficient, dan expert berdasarkan karakter penyelesaian masalahnya. Pada umumnya setiap mahasiswa telah memiliki kemampuan berpikir algoritmik. Sebagian besar mahasiswa (kecuali kategori novice) juga telah mampu mengabstraksi dan mendekomposisi permasalahan. Sedangkan kemampuan pengenalan pola baru terlihat pada mahasiswa dengan kategori competent, proficient, dan expert. Training students' computational thinking ability provides opportunities to comprehend concepts, analyse problems, and build solutions in real-life contexts. The purpose of the study was to analyse the computational thinking abilities of Computer Science Education students, i.e., abstraction, decomposition, algorithmic thinking, and generalization abilities. The research method used was a case study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The learning process was conducted by 40 students for semester 1 (one) semester collaboratively in solving area problems using the limit approach. At the end of the lesson, the students were tested through students' computational thinking abilities. Each student's answers were analyzed in terms of the mental functions that emerged to determine the characteristics of the acquisition of problem-solving ability. In this study, the students were categorized into groups of novices, advanced beginner, competent, professional, and expert based on the natures of their problem solving. In general, every student had the ability to think algorithmically. Most students (except the novice category) were able to abstract and unravel the problems. Meanwhile, the ability to recognize new patterns were demonstrated by the students in the competent, professional, and expert categories.

Abstract

Calon guru wajib memiliki, menguasai, dan meningkatkan Pengetahuan Konten Pedagogis Teknologi (TPACK), yang diakui sebagai elemen penting dalam dekonstruksi pengetahuan guru. Penelitian ini berupaya menganalisis kemahiran TPACK siswa calon guru yang mengikuti mata kuliah Micro-Learning. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data meliputi reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ketiga peserta menunjukkan kemampuan TPACK yang patut dipuji, meskipun masih terdapat ruang untuk mengoptimalkan Pengetahuan Teknologi dalam konteks pembelajaran. Prospective teachers are required to possess, master, and enhance their Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), which is recognized as a pivotal element in the deconstruction of teacher knowledge. This study seeks to analyze the TPACK proficiency of prospective teacher students enrolled in a Micro-Learning course. Employing a descriptive qualitative research approach, data was collected through observation sheets and interviews. Data analysis encompassed reduction, presentation, and conclusion-drawing. The findings revealed that the three participants exhibited commendable TPACK abilities, although there is room for optimizing Technological Knowledge in the context of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren publikasi penelitian etnomatematika di Indonesia menggunakan basis data Scopus. Mengingat pentingnya pendidikan yang kontekstual, penelitian ini berupaya untuk memetakan pertumbuhan dan fokus penelitian etnomatematika di Indonesia, yang dapat menjadi panduan untuk studi selanjutnya dan mendorong kontribusi akademik yang lebih luas dan berdampak. Dengan menggunakan analisis bibliometrik, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tren publikasi tahunan, perbandingan antara artikel jurnal dan prosiding konferensi, lima penerbit paling diminati, lima artikel yang paling banyak dikutip, lima penulis paling produktif, serta jaringan kolaborasi penulis dan identifikasi topik (ko-okurensi) menggunakan VOSviewer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah publikasi etnomatematika di Indonesia meningkat setiap tahun, dengan prosiding konferensi yang mendominasi dibandingkan artikel jurnal. Lima penerbit utama adalah Journal of Physics: Conference Series, AIP Conference Proceedings, Journal on Mathematics Education, International Journal of Scientific and Technology Research, dan Infinity Journal. Penulis paling produktif adalah Herawaty dan Widada, yang sering berkolaborasi. Artikel yang paling banyak dikutip adalah karya Muhtadi et al. Jaringan kolaborasi penulis menunjukkan bahwa Sutama adalah peneliti dengan koneksi terbanyak, sementara analisis ko-okurensi topik menyoroti fokus pada geometri, budaya, ide-ide matematika, pemecahan masalah, dan pendidikan karakter. This study aims to analyze the publication trends of ethnomathematics research in Indonesia using the Scopus database. Given the increasing recognition of the importance of contextualized education, this study addresses the need to map the growth and focus areas within Indonesian ethnomathematics research, which can guide future studies and encourage broader, more impactful scholarly contributions. Utilizing bibliometric analysis, this study identifies annual publication trends, comparisons between journal articles and conference proceedings, the five most preferred publishers, the five most cited articles, the five most productive authors, as well as co-authorship and topic identification (co-occurrence) networks using VOSviewer. The results show that the number of ethnomathematics publications in Indonesia has increased year by year, with conference proceedings dominating over journal articles. The top five publishers are Journal of Physics: Conference Series, AIP Conference Proceedings, Journal on Mathematics Education, International Journal of Scientific and Technology Research, and Infinity Journal. The most productive authors are Herawaty and Widada, who frequently collaborate. The most cited article is by Muhtadi et al. The co-authorship network shows that Sutama is the most connected researcher, while the topic co-occurrence analysis highlights a focus on geometry, culture, mathematical ideas, problem-solving, and character education.

Abstract

Studi etnomatematika suku Malind telah mengidentifikasi berbagai materi matematika yang tertanam dalam budaya mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep-konsep matematika yang ada pada motif khas Papua yang terdapat pada alat musik Kandala. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kampung Wasur Kabupaten Merauke Propinsi Papua Selatan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu pengamatan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif model interaktif yaitu kondesasi data, tampilan data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat konsep-konsep matematika pada motif-motif yang terdapat pada bagian luar alat musik. Konsep matematika yang muncul pada motif-motif yang ada pada alat musik Kandala yaitu konsep bangun datar yaitu segitiga, persegi, persegi panjang, belahketupat dan lingkaran selain itu terdapat juga konsep transformasi geometri yaitu translasi, refleksi dan dilatasi.Ethnomathematics studies of the Malind tribe have identified various mathematical materials embedded in their culture. This research aims to identify the mathematical concepts embedded in Papuan cultural patterns found on the Kandala musical instrument. This is a qualitative research using an ethnographic approach. The research was conducted in Wasur Village, Merauke District, South Papua Province. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses an interactive qualitative data analysis model, namely data condensation, data display, and conclusion. The results show that there are mathematical concepts in the m-otifs found on the outer part of the musical instrument. The mathematical concepts that appear in the patterns on the Kandala musical instrument are the concepts of plane figures such as triangles, squares, rectangles, rhombus, and circles. In addition, there are also concepts of geometric transformations such as translation, reflection, and dilation.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the results of research regarding the ability of visual mathematical representation in learning mathematics. The method used is SLR (Systematic Literature Review), the research sample consists of 10 journal articles that match the established criteria. The criteria used in this study are indexed Scopus, Sinta, or Repository, published in the 2018-2022 period, discussing the ability of mathematical visual representation in mathematics learning and the research sample is elementary, junior high, high school, or university students. Based on the results of the analysis of literature data which became research data, most research was carried out in 2019 and 2021, the type of research used the most qualitative research, most of it was indexed Sinta 3, the level of education used as a sample was elementary, junior high and tertiary levels, a lot of material Algebra and geometry are used as research. In addition, the results of the study show that factors that influence the level of mathematical visual representation ability are the learning model used, learning style, gender, and the teacher's role in learning.  Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian mengenai kemampuan representasi visual matematis pada pembelajaran matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah SLR (Systematic Literature Review), sampel penelitian terdiri dari 10 artikel jurnal yang sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditetapkan. Kriteria yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu terindeks Scopus,  Sinta atau Repository, diterbitkan pada periode 2018-2022, membahas kemampuan representasi visual matematis pada pembelajaran matematika serta sampel penelitian merupakan siswa SD, SMP, SMA atau Perguruan Tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data literatur yang menjadi data penelitian, penelitian paling banyak dilakukan tahun 2019 dan 2021, jenis penelitian paling banyak menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, sebagian besar terindeks Sinta 3, jenjang pendidikan yang dijadikan sampel yatu tingkat SD, SMP serta perguruan tinggi, materi yang banyak dijadikan peneltian adalah aljabar dan geometri selain itu hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kemampuan representasi visual matematis yaitu model pembelajaran yang digunakan, gaya belajar, jenis kelamin, serta peran guru dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

AbstractEach student has a different mathematical thinking process in solving mathematical problems. This study aims to assess the mathematical thinking process of students in solving statistical problems. The subjects of the study were taken by purposive sampling. The subject of the study was 6 students of Islamic Religious Education student who took the fifth semester with high, medium, and low abilities. The instrument used is a ters sheet on statistical material. Data collection techniques through statistical question tests on research data sampling sub-materials. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. The analysis was conducted through answer sheets of each study subject looking at thought processes based on steps in Bransford and Stein's approach. The results showed that  high-ability students tend to have conceptual mathematical thinking processes, moderately capable students tend to have mathematical thinking process abilities in semiconceptual groups, while low-ability students tend to have competitive mathematical thinking processes. Abstrak Setiap mahasiswa mempunyai proses berpikir matematis berbeda-beda dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah statistika. Subjek penelitian diambil secara purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian merupakan 6 orang mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama Islam yang menempuh semester lima tahun ajaran 2023-2024 dengan kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes pada materi statistika. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes soal statistika pada sub-materi pengambilan sampel data penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui lembar jawaban setiap subjek penelitian dengan melihat proses berpikir berdasarkan langkah-langkah dalam pendekatan Bransford dan Stein. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang berkemampuan tinggi cenderung mempunyai proses berpikir matematis konseptual, mahasiswa yang berkemampuan sedang cenderung mempunyai kemampuan proses berpikir matematis dalam kelompok semikonseptual, dan mahasiswa yang berkemampuan rendah cenderung proses berpikir matematis komputasional

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kreatif sangat penting dimiliki oleh siswa terkhusus kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Para peneliti di bidang pendidikan (guru dan dosen) sudah banyak melakukan penelitian dan salah satunya memilih Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa jenjang sekolah dasar hingga sekolah menengah atas. Dari 136 studi primer diperoleh 16 studi primer yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Selain itu, effect size yang diperoleh berdasarkan pengujian keseluruhan studi pengaruh RME terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa adalah 0,973 dengan besar pengaruh tersebut dikategorikan berpengaruh sedang. Berdasarkan karakteristik studi pada penelitian ini ukuran sampel, jenjang pendidikan, dan demografi siswa bukan menjadi faktor heterogennya kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Studi ini memberikan masukan pada guru dan dosen matematika bahwa mereka sebaiknya memilih RME sebagai alternatif pembelajaran matematika untuk diterapkan terutama pada jenjang sekolah menengah atas dalam menumbuh kembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis.

Abstract

Numerous similar studies have been conducted to evaluate the effect of problem-based learning models (PBL) on students' mathematical critical thinking skills. However, the findings from these studies are inconsistent. Highlighting this gap, this study comprehensively evaluates the effectiveness of implementing the PBL model on junior high school students’ critical thinking skills. This meta-analysis study was conducted by analyzing a sample of 15 journal papers that met the feasibility. Empirical data collection uses several journal search engines, and the instruments used are coding categories. Data analysis to obtain effect size value was performed with Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) software, and the estimation method used a random-effect model. Overall, the results showed that the effect size of PBL model implementation on mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students is 0.970, which means the PBL model's implementation had a high effect on students' critical thinking skills. Besides, the effect size of implementing the PBL model on junior high school students' critical thinking skills did not differ based on differences in class, year of study, and sample size. However, there were significant differences in effect sizes between study groups based on treatment duration. Thus, PBL will achieve a higher level of effectiveness, taking into account the treatment duration.

Abstract

AbstractStudents need to possess the right life and career skills to face future challenges. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of mathematics teachers' life skills on high school students in Indonesia. Data were collected from 190 mathematics teachers and 627 high school students through questionnaires consisting of 15 and 45 statements, respectively. The data collected were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method and the Smart-PLS v.3.2.9 software. The results showed that both mathematics teachers (77.50%) and high school students (83%) had a good understanding of life and career skills. However, their life skills were rated low due to teachers' difficulty in translating life and career skills into planning and implementing mathematics learning. This means that the methods used by teachers do not explore students' potential. Furthermore, the correlation between indicators of student life skills was found to be in the medium and large categories, indicating a significant relationship between the indicators of student life skills.AbstrakPara Siswa perlu memiliki keterampilan hidup dan karier yang tepat untuk menghadapi tantangan masa depan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh keterampilan hidup guru matematika terhadap siswa SMA di Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan dari 190 guru matematika dan 627 siswa SMA melalui kuesioner yang terdiri dari 15 dan 45 pernyataan, masing-masing. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dan perangkat lunak Smart-PLS v.3.2.9. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik guru matematika (77,50%) maupun siswa SMA (83%) memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang keterampilan hidup dan karier. Namun, keterampilan hidup mereka dinilai rendah karena kesulitan guru dalam menerjemahkan keterampilan hidup dan karier ke dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika. Ini berarti metode yang digunakan oleh guru tidak mengeksplorasi potensi siswa. Selain itu, korelasi antara indikator keterampilan hidup siswa ditemukan berada dalam kategori sedang dan besar, menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara indikator keterampilan hidup siswa.How to Cite : Miftah, R., Kurniawati, L., Herman,T., Juandi, D., Maulida, A.
