Abstract

Background: Education on using smartphone applications among the elderly to prevent diabetic foot wounds is still limited. Especially if someone pays attention to the limitations of older people with diabetes, such as their lack of mastery in using smartphones, an educational application for preventing diabetic foot wounds, named Rawat Kaki, has been developed by considering various aspects that make it easier for older people to use. This application must be tested for validity and evaluated to obtain an overview of the satisfaction of its users. Methods: The design of this study was exploratory quantitative to see the validity of the application and respondent satisfaction using the Rawat Kaki App. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total sample of 140 respondents from the population of Persadia (Indonesian Diabetes Association) members at the RSUD: Surakarta City, Sragen, Salatiga, Klaten Islamic Hospital, and PrambananSleman Yogyakarta Hospital. Five diabetes experts in the medical and nursing fields conduct content validity. Furthermore, respondents tested it three times to measure their satisfaction using the EUCS (End User Computing Satisfaction) questionnaire. Results: The content validity test obtained a value of 1.02 and an alpha Cronbach reliability value of 0.765, so the Rawat Kaki application was declared feasible. Then, the data is collected through a regression test, obtaining an R-value of 0.689, which means 68.9% of application user satisfaction can be explained through the Rawat Kaki application. Conclusion: The high validity and satisfaction of respondents might be a reason to consider using this educational application.

Abstract

The need for ship units can be met by building new ships, purchasing second ships that are still viable, chartering ships, and modification of existing ships. Decision considerations may include ship building time, level of urgency or budget. One of the decisions a ship owner can take considering budget, time and owned existing ship is by modifying the ship according to their needs, for example modification of a flat top barge (FTB) to an accommodation work barge (AWB). The need for plate material, especially when modifying FTB to AWB, requires construction calculations for the modified part. The modification made was to create accommodation space above the main deck. The accommodation space construction calculations are adjusted rules BKI 2022 about classification and construction, part I, volume II. From data of general arrangement and BKI rules, the results show that thickness of plate outer wall of superstructure and boat deck is 8 mm, thickness of room bulkhead plate, navigation deck and top deck is 6 mm, size of the internal construction in accommodation room/boat deck is frame/stiffener/deck beam profile L90+90 x 8 mm, web frame/web stiffener/strong beam profile L120+120 x 10 mm, deck girder profile T150+80 x 8 mm.

Abstract

The Permanent Production Forest (HP) area in the Tabalong Regency area has an area of ± 44,759 ha which is a forest area in the Tabalong KPH management area. The administrative designation of this Forest Area is in Solan Village, Jaro District. In this area there are problems related to conflicts over land use and claims in locations whose status is still production forest areas. The Solan Village area which is within the Permanent Production Forest (HP) area covers an area of 4,161.2731 ha. In some areas, the Solan Village community uses the area for housing, public facilities and plantations. The area of Solan Village which is outside the forest area is 87,377 ha. The results of the questionnaire showed that 50% of respondents were not aware of the government's determination of forest area status and the boundaries of forest areas in their area. The community considers that the land belongs to them because it has been owned for generations. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out mapping regarding area control conflicts and re-arrangement of forest area boundaries in the Tabalong KPH area which aims to inventory land control problems and community rights to forest areas as well as safeguard and protect designated forest areas. Socialization and the presence of officers are important components to bring awareness and understanding to the community about forests and forest areas, so that conflicts over control of forest areas can be eliminated.

Abstract

Measurements of tree diameter have been carried out a lot of research directly, namely using measuring tape or diameter tape with n how to measure its circumference. So far, the two measuring instruments, namely TAC calipers (Two Arms Caliper) and Spiegel Relascop Bitterlich are often used but we do not know about the accuracy information of the two measuring instruments. Therefore, research is needed on these two tools. The purpose of this study was to analyze the accuracy of using diameter measuring instruments in the form of TAC calipers and relascope spiegels (Spiegel Relascop Bitterlich) on tree circumference measuring devices (K) using measuring tape in measuring tree diameters. The research was conducted by taking tree data directly in the field. Data collection was carried out by purposive sampling based on the diameter structure of trees in the field. The results of data analysis and interpretation both quantitatively and qualitatively can be used as tools for policies and decisions to answer the accuracy of the tools used in research data. The conclusion obtained from the results of research on the accuracy of TAC calipers and relascope spiegels for measuring tree diameters in the ULM Banjarbaru campus area is from the tools studied based on the efficiency index value, it is concluded that TAC caliper measuring instruments have a better level of accuracy and efficiency than relascope spiegel measuring instruments, namely on TAC caliper measuring instruments of 2.25 cmdt and on relascope spiegel measuring instruments of 20.92 cmdt.Pengukuran tentang diameter pohon sudah banyak sekali dilakukan penelitian secara langsung yaitu menggunakan pita ukur atau pita diameter dengan cara mengukur kelilingnya. Selama ini kedua alat ukur, yaitu kaliper TAC (Two Arms Caliper) dan spiegel relaskop (Spiegel Relascop Bitterlich) ini sering digunakan namun kita belum mengetahui mengenai informasi ketelitian dari kedua alat ukur tersebut. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya penelitian tentang kedua alat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis ketelitian penggunaan alat ukur diameter berupa kaliper TAC dan spiegel relaskop terhadap alat pengukur keliling pohon (K) menggunakan pita ukur pada pengukuran diameter pohon. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil data pohon secara langsung di lapangan. Pengambilan data dilakukan secara purposive sampling berdasarkan struktur diameter pohon di lapangan. Hasil analisis dan interpretasi data baik secara kuantitatif maupun secara kualitatif dapat dijadikan sebagai alat untuk kebijakan dan keputusan untuk menjawab keakuratan alat yang digunakan dalam data penelitian. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian ketelitian kaliper TAC dan spiegel relaskop untuk pengukuran diameter pohon di wilayah kampus ULM banjarbaru ialah dari alat yang diteliti berdasarkan nilai indeks efisiensi disimpulkan bahwa alat ukur kaliper TAC memiliki tingkat ketelitian dan tingkat efisiensi yang lebih bagus dibandingkan alat ukur spiegel relaskop yaitu pada alat ukur kaliper TAC sebesar 2,25 cmdt dan pada alat ukur spiegel relaskop sebesar 20,92 cmdt.

Abstract

This study evaluates the efficiency of local government expenditures in the health sector, crucial for growth and productivity. Using Data Envelopment Analysis, it examines pre- and post-decentralization periods. Before decentralization, only Makassar (Sulawesi) and Gianyar (Bali and Nusa Tenggara) achieved full efficiency. Post-decentralization, Bengkalis, Kota Pematang Siantar, and Simalungun (Sumatera) reached efficiency. Findings reveal that Papua’s regions have the lowest efficiency scores, while Sulawesi’s are the highest. Papua averages 0.80, below the national average of 0.90, whereas Sulawesi scores 0.93. Overall, efficiency improved post-decentralization. The study highlights the need for government efforts to enhance health expenditure efficiency both before and after fiscal decentralization to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

Teachers play a central role in creating students who have good quality. The problem that occurs is that there are still some teachers who have low work enthusiasm. This can be seen from the way teachers teach which is less innovative, less attention to students and less disciplined so that it affects their performance. This study aims to determine the effect of work ethic on teacher performance at the Al Mumtaaz Karawang. This study was conducted with a quantitative approach using a correlation survey. The sampling technique used random sampling. Data analysis techniques were carried out through simple linear analysis, coefficient of determination and t-test. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant influence between work ethic (X) on teacher performance (Y). This can be proven through the t-test with a t-count value of 9.131> from t-table of 2.001. The results of the determination coefficient test (R Square) of 0.586 means that the influence of the independent variable, namely work ethic (X) on the dependent variable, namely teacher performance (Y), is 58.6% and the remaining 41.4% is influenced by other factors. This means that there is a positive and significant influence of work ethic on teacher performance at the Al Mumtaaz Karawang Islamic Charity Foundation.

Abstract

Research aims: This study investigates auditing educators’ (AE) behavior in switching to accounting standard acceptance's fault lines and achieving task performance due to role conflicts and proactive personalities. Design/Methodology/Approach: This research used a 2X2 matrix to categorize role conflict (high vs. low) and proactive personality (transform vs. confront). Then, the data were processed using the ANOVA difference test.Research findings: This study uncovered that AEs with high-role conflict and confront-proactive personalities intend to switch to another group. This research firstly intersects the constructive factors of the role conflict’s level and proactive personalities to explain the AEs’ switching intentions and performance achievement behavior. It also indicates that role conflict could affect AEs’ switching intentions and whether proactive personalities occupy the group memberships. Secondly, this study considers whether the broaden-and-build theory can explain the combination of (high-low) role conflict and (confront-transform) proactive characters. Finally, it describes different AE behaviors when switching intention and achieving the desired task performance. Thirdly, the authors revealed the AEs’ behavior in setting an accounting standard acceptance fault line, an open group that AEs choose due to personal goals. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research contributes to the two conceptual contents of role conflict and proactive personalities and accounts for the broaden-and-build theory. Therefore, the fault lines’ members would maintain their membership in a group with positive emotions.Practitioner/Policy Implications: This research implies that group development should include shared emotional values as an antecedent factor for group cohesiveness.Research limitation: The limitation of this study is that the members of the matrix design fault lines did not consider regulations to limit their behavior.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to analyze the effect of board characteristics, ownership structures, and investors on disruptive innovation disclosure in the annual reports of companies in Indonesia.Design/Methodology/Approach: This study used 237 cross-section data from 237 companies in the manufacturing sectors. The dependent variable in this study was obtained by analyzing the content of the company's annual report. The hypothesis in this study was then tested using multiple linear regression.Research findings: The regression test results revealed that foreign ownership affected the disclosure of disruptive innovation in manufacturing companies. Other variables, such as characteristics of the board of commissioners, members and investors, did not affect the disclosure of disruptive innovation in manufacturing companies.Theoretical contribution/Originality: Disclosure of disruptive innovation is rarely done, but this study looks at disclosure from the stakeholder theory perspective in manufacturing companies.Research limitation/Implication: This study was only limited to manufacturing companies. Meanwhile, other companies are expected to be studied in further research. In addition, more observation data can be added to strengthen the research results.

Difusi inovasi merujuk pada proses di mana ide, konsep, atau teknologi baru diterima, diadopsi, dan dapat disebarkan oleh individu atau kelompok dalam suatu masyarakat. Artikel ini menjelaskan bagaimana konsep ini dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam konteks kampanye sosial yang bertujuan untuk memperkuat dan melestarikan nilai-nilai budaya tradisional. Melalui studi kasus dan penelitian kualitatif, artikel ini menggali strategi-strategi komunikasi yang efektif, seperti penggunaan media digital, sosial media, narasi yang kuat, dan keterlibatan komunitas lokal. Diskusi juga mencakup peran pemimpin pendapat (opinion leaders) dalam mempercepat proses difusi inovasi dalam konteks ajaran budaya. Dengan demikian, artikel ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang bagaimana difusi inovasi dapat menjadi landasan yang kuat dalam mencapai tujuan kampanye sosial yang berfokus pada ajaran budaya.

Abstract

In the current era of the millennial generation, many cultures have entered which makes local culture have to adapt and acculturate in order to maintain its existence. Therefore, in order to study and overcome local culture, the authors conducted research related to culture, especially culture at the wedding ceremony of the Nias Fangowai and Fame'e Afo people in Medan City. The purpose of this study is to find and describe the shape of the lexicon, cultural meaning and local wisdom in the fangowai and fame'e afo ceremonies. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with anthropolinguistic theory. Provision of data using interview methods and literature study. The presentation of the results of data analysis is carried out informally. The results of this study found 54 lexicons which were classified into two groups of word class categories, namely the category of nouns or nouns and the category of verbs or verbs. The noun category obtained 31 lexicons accompanied by cultural meanings and local wisdom values and the verb category obtained 23 lexicons accompanied by cultural meanings and local wisdom values.
