Abstract

In today's technological era, web-based solutions are essential for optimizing the distribution of internship placements. The current manual processes can lead to issues such as placement delays and difficulties in data collection. This research proposes the implementation of a web-based system to streamline the internship program at SMK YP Gajah Mada, focusing on developing an efficient and user-friendly platform. The objective of this research is to build a web-based internship placement and monitoring system at SMK YP Gajah Mada Palembang. The methodology used in this study is Rapid Application Development (RAD), an alternative to traditional system life cycles. The implementation of this system is expected to improve placement processes, enhance data management, and provide a more effective way to monitor and support interns throughout their program. The results of the research indicate that the web-based system significantly reduces placement delays, facilitates data collection, and offers a structured approach to monitoring and managing internship activities.

Abstract

Indonesia has a geothermal potential of 24 Gigawatts (GW), making Indonesia the second largest country with geothermal potential. High investment costs are still a challenge in the development of geothermal energy, where the cost of drilling geothermal wells is the most expensive with a cost of more than 50% of the total project cost. One solution to this problem is retrofitting abandoned wells with a closed loop well system (double pipe heat exchanger). Reusing abandoned wells to extract heat energy only costs about a third of the cost of making a new geothermal well. However, the low heat transfer value of this system makes it rarely applied as a power plant. Therefore, the thesis research analyzes the effect of adding CuO nanoparticles in the base fluid (water) of a double pipe well as a solution to improve heat transfer performance. The effect of nanoparticles on closed loop wells is modeled using a CFD simulation approach. The results of the CFD simulation will be used as input in calculating the performance of the Organic Rankine Cycle system which is used to determine the potential for electricity generation. Based on the calculation results, it was obtained that CuO nanoparticles with a concentration of 4%wt had the greatest heat transfer among other nanoparticle variations and this was in line with the power output produced, which was 2045 kW.

Abstract

The application of blockchain technology in Indonesia's financial sector offers great potential to improve the transparency, efficiency, and security of the financial system. Blockchain allows for permanent and transparent recording of transactions, thereby reducing the risk of fraud and data manipulation, as well as increasing public trust in the financial system. The technology also has the potential to reduce international transaction costs, speed up payment processes, and reduce reliance on intermediaries, allowing financial services to become more affordable and efficient. However, Indonesia faces various challenges in implementing blockchain, including regulatory clarity that risks creating legal uncertainty, limited digital infrastructure that is evenly distributed across the region, and a lack of skilled human resources in this technology. To overcome these challenges, collaboration between governments, regulators, and the private sector is needed to create policies that support blockchain development, strengthen digital infrastructure, and improve the quality of education and training in the field of blockchain technology. The great potential of blockchain in accelerating the transformation of Indonesia's financial sector towards a more inclusive, efficient, and transparent system will be the main driver of sustainable digital economic growth.

Abstract

The millennial generation who now dominates the workforce has different communication preferences, especially in the digital era, which requires adaptation of leadership styles, in particular transformational leadership. This research aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership towards digital communication preferences and levels of engagement of millennial employees, using the approach Systematic Literature Review which is based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISM). The research results show that the internal dimensions of transformational leadership, like individualized consideration And intellectual stimulation, significantly influences millennial employee engagement through digital communication platforms. The practical implications of this research provide insights for HR managers to better understand the communication preferences of the millennial generation and adapt leadership styles to increase employee engagement and retention in a work environment that continues to develop digitally.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of financial performance, company size and capital structure on firm value. The sample in the study was 144 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2018-2021 period. The research sample was obtained by purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 23. The results of this research prove that financial performance has a positive effect on firm value, firm size has a positive effect on firm value and capital structure simultaneously has a positive effect on firm value.Keywords: Financial performance, company size, capital structure, firm value

Abstract

This study examines the influence of tax discrimination and information technology on tax evasion, with religiosity as a moderating variable. The increasing number of tax evasion cases in Indonesia highlights the need to explore factors that drive non-compliance among taxpayers. Many individuals remain reluctant to fulfil their tax obligations due to concerns about unfair treatment by tax authorities and mismanagement of tax revenues. This study employs a quantitative research design with primary data collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 132 MSME taxpayers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta using snowball sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and moderated regression analysis (MRA) with SPSS 26. The findings indicate that tax discrimination significantly increases tax evasion, as perceived unfairness in tax policies reduces taxpayers' willingness to comply. Conversely, tax information technology negatively affects tax evasion, as digital innovations enhance transparency, monitoring, and enforcement, making non-compliance more difficult. Religiosity is found to play a moderating role in both relationships. It weakens the positive impact of tax discrimination on tax evasion, suggesting that individuals with strong religious values are less likely to justify evasion, even when they perceive discrimination. Similarly, religiosity mitigates the negative effect of tax information technology on tax evasion, implying that religious taxpayers are more likely to comply when they perceive the tax system as fair and aligned with ethical principles. These findings emphasize the need for policymakers and tax authorities to ensure fair tax administration and strengthen digital tax systems while also considering ethical and religious values to promote voluntary compliance. Integrating technological advancements with moral reinforcement strategies may serve as a more comprehensive approach to reducing tax evasion and enhancing tax compliance in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of customer satisfaction on brand loyalty, with brand love as a mediating factor, among Samsung smartphone users at the University of Darussalam Gontor. In the competitive smartphone market, customer satisfaction alone often falls short in driving brand loyalty, highlighting the critical role of emotional connections like brand love. Using a quantitative approach, data were gathered from 171 respondents through purposive sampling and analyzed using path analysis in SPSS. Findings reveal that customer satisfaction significantly influences brand love but not brand loyalty directly, while brand love strongly impacts brand loyalty and effectively mediates the relationship. The study underscores the importance of brand love in fostering loyalty, offering theoretical insights and practical strategies for companies to strengthen emotional bonds with consumers.

Abstract

In the increasingly developing digital era, the role of the internet and information technology is increasingly important in supporting various aspects of business, including marketing and product sales. Especially the presence of a website has become an important need for a business that wants to compete in this increasingly competitive market, to expand market reach and increase their brand visibility. RKU Computer Palembang is a business engaged in computer sales and services. Currently, the RKU Computer sales system is still manual, namely prospective buyers come directly to the RKU Computer store to buy its products. To overcome this problem, the author tries to provide a solution to RKU Computer, namely by building an e-commerce website as an online sales media, to help RKU Computer sell its products, and to help RKU Computer compete with other businesses that have implemented an online sales system. The research methodology used in this study is a software development method using extreme programming consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, design, coding, and testing, and a process method using market basket analysis (MBA). Abstract

Pelapisan dengan metode Elektroplating adalah suatu proses pengendapan logam pada permukaan suatu logam secara elektrolisa, endapan yang terjadi bersifat adhesif terhadap logam dasar. Fungsi utama dari pelapisan logam adalah memperbaiki penampilan (dekoratif), memperbaiki kehalusan atau bentuk permukaan dan toleransi logam dasar, melindungi logam dasar dari korosi , dan meningkatkan ketahanan produk terhadap gesekan (abrasi). Pelapisan tembaga pada besi (baja) dilakukan dengan menggunakan cairan elektrolit HCl 2%, menggunakan listrik DC 5 Volt 2 Ampere, waktu pembuatan larutan pelapis 2 jam, dan waktu pelapisan 5 hingga 10 menit. Lagkah terakhir adalah membersihkan benda kerja dengan etanol atau air sabun, dan dilakukan pemolesan. Proses ini menghasilkan produk dengan tampilan yang gilap dan lebih tahan korosi.

Abstract

Based on Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation Number 08 of 2019, health empowerment cadres are individuals selected by the community and trained to encourage community participation in the health sector. Given the importance of the cadres’ role, training is necessary to enhance their capacity, particularly in Posyandu Lansia (Elderly Integrated Service Posts). This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of cadres in monitoring NCD (non-communicable disease) risk factors at Posyandu Lansia. The training is also expected to help reduce the prevalence of NCDs in Buluhcina Village, Kampar Regency, a partner in this community service initiative. Furthermore, this activity can recommend further studies in formulating models for preventing NCD risk factors. The community service activity showed significant improvements in knowledge, as indicated by the average pre-test and post-test scores. The pre-test average was 35.7%, which increased to 81.5% in the post-test. Thus, it can be concluded that this community service activity positively impacted the knowledge of cadres and the elderly, resulting in an increased understanding of NCD risk factors
