Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEM-based Think Pair Share model on the thinking ability of early childhood education students.  The research is a meta-analysis research. This study analyzed 17 primary studies that had met the established inclusion criteria. The data analysis in this study is statistical analysis. This study concluded that the analysis using the random effect model obtained the average effect size value (d= 0.972; p <0.001). This effect size is very high. These results show that the STEM-based Think Pair Share model strongly influences the critical thinking ability of prospective Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers compared to the traditional learning model.

Abstract

The documentary film “Apocalyptic Tides” is an audiovisual work that explores the phenomenon of ocean-borne waste in coastal areas. The writer acts as the scriptwriter, focusing on the development of an expository narrative as the foundational structure for both the storyline and the creative aspects of the film. The narrative employs a three-act structure with a suggestive storytelling approach, utilizing various rhetorical devices to evoke a strong emotional response from the audience. An expository narrative method is used to convey factual information clearly and thoroughly, structured through an introduction of the issue via observational visuals and voice-over, a depiction of the ecological conflict caused by ocean-borne waste, and a resolution that reveals deeper insights into the underlying problem. The result demonstrates that the use of an expository narrative can effectively build public awareness of the ecological crisis caused by waste accumulation, particularly during the monsoon season. This film serves not only as an informative medium but also as a communicative tool that evokes empathy toward coastal ecosystem degradation.

Abstract

Pengembangan profesi pada tenaga kerja fungsional di lembaga pemerintahan menjadi suatu keharusan dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas mutu dan kesejahteraan yang bermanfaat bagi mutu pelayanan publik. Salah satu dari kegiatan pengembangan profesi ini adalah melalui menulis karya tulis ilmiah (KTI). Keberadaan karya ilmiah menjadi penting karena menjadi prasyarat untuk dapat memperbaiki hierarki kepangkatan dan jabatan seseorang. Melalui hasil tulisan karya ilmiah yang terbit pada jurnal ilmiah yang ditulis secara individual maupun kelompok yang membahas seputar fenomena sosial, dapat menjadi barometer standar kinerja pegawai tenaga fungsional humas pemerintahan untuk mendapatkan insentif pendapatan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan mengenai motivasi peserta Diklat Iprahumas dalam menulis karya ilmiah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dalam bentuk sensus kepada seluruh peserta pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah dengan peserta adalah para pranata humas yang tergabung dalam organisasi Ikatan Pranata Humas Indonesia. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara memberikan kusioner kepada para peserta yang dilengkapi dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi peserta diklat penulisan KTI Iprahumas masih rendah yaitu sebesar 71.4% belum bisa untuk menulis KTI dikarenakan memiliki keterbatasan mengenai pengetahuan dan pengalaman menulis KTI di jurnal ilmiah. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta mengenai penulisan karya ilmiah melalui diklat penulisan karya ilmiah masih rendah yang menyebabkan daya motivasi peserta menjadi berkurang yang salah satunya dibuktikan dengan masih sedikitnya peserta yang mempersiapkan tulisan artikel ilmiah untuk dijadikan objek workshop karya tulis ilmiah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of restorative justice practices in the context of criminal law. Restorative justice is an alternative approach that focuses on restoring relationships between perpetrators, victims, and society through dialogue and out-of-court settlements. With the growing idea that traditional criminal justice systems are often more repressive than rehabilitative, restorative justice offers a new paradigm that emphasizes perpetrator responsibility, victim recovery, and active community involvement. This study uses case study methods and literature reviews to evaluate the extent to which restorative justice practices are able to achieve their main goals, namely reducing recidivism, recovering victims, and reintegrating perpetrators. The results show that, while restorative justice is effective in some contexts, its implementation is often hampered by a lack of understanding, a supportive legal framework, and resistance from traditional legal systems. In conclusion, although restorative justice has great potential in improving the weaknesses of the conventional criminal justice system, further development is needed in policy and application to ensure its success more broadly.

Abstract

In a dynamic digital transformation era, this comprehensive study delved into the metamorphosis of higher education, exploring the multifaceted impact of digital disruption and the emergence of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). The research incorporated diverse data sources, unveiling profound changes that reshaped the traditional university landscape. Historical developments were meticulously analyzed, revealing the inception of online learning and its transformative journey from an experimental novelty to a mainstream educational tool. Technological advancements played a pivotal role in shaping these shifts in teaching and learning, with faculty adapting to a student-centric approach characterized by personalized learning, adaptive assessment, and blended learning environments. The rise of MOOCs took center stage, scrutinizing the MOOC ecosystem, global impact, and disruptive challenges they presented. Leading platforms and providers were central in extending education worldwide and bridging educational divides. Complex challenges included the impact of MOOCs on traditional higher education and debates surrounding accreditation. This study encompassed the strategic adaptations of universities as they embraced hybrid learning programs, competency-based education, and partnerships with online platforms. Quality assurance measures ensured academic rigor and accreditation standards were preserved. Faculty members underwent transformative changes in their roles, engaging in professional development and endorsing technological adoption. Further exploration in this ever-evolving paradigm is invited, as this study, rooted in a rich tapestry of data and multidimensional multidimensional analysis, provided a profound understanding of the metamorphosis characterizing higher education.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge and skills to the people of Padasuka Village, Cimenyan Kabupaten Bandung District in developing digital entrepreneurial literacy. The main activities were carried out at the Bhakti Asih Islamic Junior/Senior High School Campus and the Padasuka Village Meeting Hall, Cimenyan District, Bandung Regency. The method used is in the form of material presentation, discussion and practice in the form of a simulation of financial management Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (MSMEs) as a form of digital entrepreneurial literacy. This activity succeeded in attracting 50 students and 30 MSME actors in the Padasuka Village area. The result obtained from this activity is an increase in public knowledge about digital entrepreneurial literacy througha digital literacy seminar and MSME financial management which is delivered simply and practically. In addition, this financial literacy seminar can improve people's skills in using digital media that supports MSME businesses.

Abstract

The digital era has brought fundamental changes to educational practices, including the teaching of fiqh as a core component of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This article presents a systematic literature review on the transformation of fiqh learning in the digital age, with a particular focus on the integration of religious moderation values and the strengthening of Islamic legal literacy. The study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PRISMA protocol, identifying 28,794 articles from various academic databases. Following a multi-stage screening process conducted independently by two reviewers, with inter-rater agreement measured by Cohen’s Kappa (κ = 0.82), a total of 50 articles met the inclusion criteria for in-depth analysis. Methodological quality assessment was performed using the CASP checklist adapted for review studies. The findings indicate that digital platforms significantly enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and religious literacy. The integration of religious moderation values into the PAI curriculum has proven effective in fostering inclusive attitudes and countering radicalism. This article recommends a holistic approach that combines curriculum reform, continuous professional development for teachers, and contextual technological innovations grounded in Sharia-based values.

Abstract

The National Electricity Company (PLN) as the only company that supplies electricity in Indonesia continues to develop to realize that it can deliver electricity to the entire community from cities to remote villages. However, in August 2019, PT. PLN experienced an event that occurred beyond the expectations of all parties, namely a simultaneous blackout or blackout caused by a disruption in the transmission network on the Ungaran-Pemalang line. The phenomenon of power outages has a tremendous impact on aspects of vital objects in the area of ​​DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and parts of Central Java and resulted in the company's image gets worse. This study uses a qualitative approach to find out and explain the blackout phenomenon that can reduce the company's negative image in public. The data collection method is done by interviewing and observing with several parties directly involved in the completion of the blackout. The results of the study indicate that there is a need for participation from the Public Relations department to be able to restore the negative image situation regarding the impact of blackouts in the community through adaptive crisis management strategies using operational modification, compromise, and transfer of facilities contained in the public relations work program. The conclusion of the research shows that the handling of adaptive strategies by the Public Relations of PT. PLN in dealing with a blackout crisis can be handled well and produce the value that is quite effectively felt by the public.

Abstract

Perebutan kekuasaan melalui kegiatan pemilihan umum menjadi hal yang baru dalam sistem ketatanegaraan Indonesia dengan diterapkannya sistem pemilihan langsung secara serentak di daerah. Pemilihan langsung di daerah memberikan peluang strategis bagi masyarakat sebagai penentu dalam mengarahkan pembangunan daerahnya di masa depan. Masyarakat memiliki daya tawar yang tinggi bagi seorang kandidat yang bertarung di Pilkada, sehingga perilaku masyarakat berpolitik dalam Pilkada menjadi sangat penting untuk diperhatikan. Pemilih pemula yang merupakan bagian dari masyarakat, memiliki perilaku komunikasi politik tersendiri dalam menentukan pilihannya. Metode pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, sebagian besar pemilih pemula sangat terbuka terhadap perubahan secara kultural, pendidikan, maupun teknologi yang disampaikan melalui media massa dan komunikasi antarpesona sehingga memunculkan karakteristik pemilih pemula yang memilih pemimpin berdasarkan pertimbangan rasional, psikologis, dan sosiologis

Abstract

The Kuta Ciamis Traditional Village is one of the Sundanese indigenous communities that still preserves its ancestral heritage. The existence of the Kuta Traditional Village to this day is inseparable from the combination of natural beauty, traditional cultural heritage, and mystical aura maintained by the local residents from generation to generation. Located on the border of West Java and Central Java, the uniqueness and local wisdom found in Kuta Village are the main elements in forming a strong and attractive branding for tourists. This study aims to determine and explain how the branding process of Kuta Traditional Village as one of the cultural tourism destinations based on local wisdom in West Java was formed. The research method was carried out qualitatively by collecting data through observations about the lives of indigenous residents and the existence of traditional institutions, interviews with traditional leaders and literature studies from documents, books, journals and other relevant references about indigenous communities. The results of the study indicate that the branding of the "Sacred Cultural Village" in Kuta Traditional Village is reflected in the local cultural identity and traditional symbols communicated to the public interpersonally and through the media. The conclusion of the study shows that the formation of cultural tourism branding is a marketing communication strategy for tourism destinations based on local wisdom in West Java which can strengthen community participation in preserving local cultural identity values ​​and increasing visibility, interest, and tourist visits.
