Abstract

This study aims to analyse the factors causing the weakening of bamboo weaving artisan regeneration in Loyok Village, Sikur Subdistrict, East Lombok Regency, and its implications for the sustainability of the local culture-based creative economy. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Informants were selected purposively, including senior craftsmen, young craftsmen, young non-craftsmen, BUMDes administrators, and village officials. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation, then analysed using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and tested for validity using trustworthiness criteria. The results showed that the weakening of artisan regeneration was influenced by several main factors, namely: shifts in socio-cultural values that made the artisan profession no longer prestigious; low motivation among the younger generation, who were more interested in modern jobs with a fixed salary; economic barriers in the form of unstable income, rising raw material prices, limited capital, and narrow market access; and institutional support that is not yet sustainable. On the other hand, technological innovation and digital marketing are beginning to open up new opportunities for young artisans, although they are still constrained by a digital skills gap. This study emphasises the need for a comprehensive strategy that integrates economic strengthening, design innovation, digital marketing, and strengthening the role of village institutions to support the regeneration of artisans in Loyok Village.

Abstract

Coral diseases and health disorders are among the primary factors threatening the survival and sustainability of coral reef ecosystems. Coastal areas, particularly those adjacent to human settlements, are highly vulnerable to environmental pressures arising from both natural and anthropogenic factors. One such area is the coastal waters of Pantai Mutiara, Pulau Kaung Village. This study aims to identify the types of coral diseases and health disorders present in the area and to assess the environmental factors influencing their occurrence. The research was conducted from April to May 2025 in the coastal waters of Pantai Mutiara. Data collected included the types of coral diseases and health disorders, as well as water quality parameters. Field observations were carried out through direct documentation of infected corals, which were subsequently identified using the Underwater Cards for Assessing Coral Health on Indo-Pacific Reefs. The results revealed several coral diseases and health disorders, namely White Syndrome, Bleaching, Algal Competition, and Sediment Damage. These conditions are presumed to be associated with both anthropogenic activities and natural environmental factors. The highest overall prevalence was recorded at a depth of 4 meters, reaching 25%. Bleaching was most frequently observed at a depth of 2 meters, affecting three coral colonies. According to the Indonesian Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021, the water quality in the study area remains within acceptable standards, indicating that the environmental condition is still adequate to support coral growth and survival. Abstract

Self-confidence is a crucial aspect of early childhood development because it forms the basis for children's courage to perform, express their ideas, and actively participate in learning activities and social life. Children with self-confidence tend to be more optimistic, independent in decision-making, and motivated to achieve. Conversely, low self-confidence can hinder a child's socialization process and potential development. This study aims to describe how Islamic singing activities can be used as a learning strategy to increase self-confidence while instilling the values of monotheism in early childhood. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. The subjects were early childhood students at SPS IT Ar Rahim, with data sources obtained from teachers and the principal selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of learning activities. The primary research instrument was the researcher herself, assisted by interview guidelines, observation sheets, and field notes. Data analysis was conducted thematically using the Miles & Huberman model, encompassing the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was maintained using source and method triangulation techniques.

Abstract

This article examines conflict resolution patterns between Islamic law and customary law in the formation of Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) in Indonesia. KHI constitutes a legal entity and a genuinely reformative bridge within legal pluralism, not mere an object of harmonization, and affirms that such conflicts are not anomalous. Employing a juridical-normative approach and conceptual analysis, the study traces how KHI represents the state’s ijtihad in responding to tensions among sharia norms, customary practices, and Indonesian Muslim society. The findings demonstrate three principal patterns of conflict resolution: (1) normative compromise between classical fiqh and customary practices, giving rise to the distinctly Indonesian concept of wasiat wajibah (mandatory bequest); (2) the adoption of customary institutions aligned with the principles of Islamic law, as the marital joint property showed; (3) adjusting customary norms within a sharia framework, exemplified by the concept of substitute heirs. These patterns underscore methodological and reflective nature of conflict resolution within KHI. KHI emerges as a model of active and productive normative conflict resolution within Indonesia’s legal pluralism. This constitutes a theoretical contribution to contemporary Islamic legal scholarship while proposing a policy-oriented direction for a more inclusive, contextual, and maqāṣid al- sharīʿah-oriented reform of the KHI.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Strengthening the value of religious moderation is a strategic agenda in Islamic boarding school education, especially among adolescent students who are vulnerable to the influence of extreme ideologies and the unfiltered flow of digital information. Purpose of the Study: This Qaryah Thayyibah-based community service program aims to revitalize the value of religious moderation among adolescent students at the Nurul Muttaqin Islamic Boarding School in Malang through the integration of psychological counseling and communication. Methods: The implementation method includes four stages: (1) assessing students' needs to identify challenges related to religious moderation; (2) psychologically based individual and group counseling focusing on emotional management, strengthening self-identity, and problem-solving skills; (3) focus group discussions (FGDs) emphasizing reflection on the values of tolerance, balance, justice, and deliberation; and (4) effective communication simulations that foster empathy, openness, and respect for differences. Results: The results of the activity indicate a significant increase in students' understanding of the principles of religious moderation, healthy communication skills, and the ability to manage differences constructively. Counseling has proven effective in helping students reflect on their spiritual and social experiences, fostering a new awareness of the importance of living a moderate, peaceful, and inclusive life. These findings demonstrate the contribution of community service in building the character of adolescent students based on Islamic values of rahmatan lil 'alamin (blessing for the universe) while strengthening a harmonious pesantren culture.
