Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning video based on Digital Twin technology for the Early Childhood Learning Media course. This learning media is designed to increase students' understanding, active involvement, and learning motivation by utilizing realistic and interactive virtual representations. This research used the Research and Development (RnD) method with the DDD-E development model (Decide, Design, Develop, Evaluate). 10 students were selected as research subjects for a pilot study. The evaluation involved multimedia experts, material experts, and students, with the average validation results showing high feasibility (above 89%). The results showed that the Digital Twin-based learning video facilitated the visualization of abstract concepts, increased enthusiasm, and facilitated students' independent learning through integration with the Learning Management System (LMS). This study recommends using this media to support more effective, innovative, and relevant education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. For future research, it is recommended to expand the scope of implementation in other courses to increase its validity and benefits.

Abstract

Codicology, the study of written manuscripts, plays a vital role in understanding the history of human civilization, particularly in the context of the development and preservation of Quranic manuscripts. The Nusantara region, which includes Indonesia and parts of Malaysia, boasts a rich tradition of Quranic manuscript production and copying. This research seeks to explore the codicological history of Quranic manuscripts in the Nusantara, focusing on their origins, evolution, regional differences, and significance in the religious and cultural lives of Muslim communities in the area. The research methodology includes analyzing various historical sources, such as existing Quranic manuscripts, historical records, academic studies, and other primary materials. The data collected is examined to identify patterns, trends, and regional distinctions. The findings reveal that the codicological history of Quranic manuscripts in the Nusantara mirrors the region's cultural diversity and the deep-rooted Islamic traditions. These manuscripts originate from various regions and showcase a wide range of writing styles, decorative elements, and materials, shaped by influences such as cultural interactions, technological progress, and local preferences. Understanding this history better can contribute to preserving the cultural and religious heritage of the Nusantara and enhance knowledge of Islamic civilization in the region.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between cognitive style (reflective and impulsive) on students' analytical abilities. Analytical ability is part of learning outcomes. There are seven levels of cognitive learning outcomes which include knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creative problem-solving. Students' analytical abilities are influenced by many things, one of which is cognitive style. Cognitive style is a way of accepting and managing attitudes towards information, as well as habits related to the world of individual learning. Reflective and impulsive cognitive styles are cognitive styles with indicators of time understanding concepts. Reflective cognitive styles usually take a long time to respond, but consider all available options, and have high concentration while learning. Meanwhile, students with an impulsive cognitive style are the opposite. The approach used in this study is a correlational and multiple regression approach. The variables in this study are reflective cognitive style and impulsive cognitive style as independent variables and analytical skills as the dependent variable with a population of 130 students. The results showed that there was a relationship between students' cognitive style and analytical skills. The greater the cognitive style score, the greater the analytical ability score. Then the cognitive style affects the analytical ability of 19.9%, where the other 80.1% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The digital era demands innovation in learning methods that are relevant and sustainable. This study aims to evaluate the integration of the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach with the TRINGO strategy in the context of digital learning in Indonesia. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted on 10 relevant studies, showing that the TPACK-TRINGO combination enhances critical thinking skills, creativity, and 21st-century competencies. Major challenges include limited technological infrastructure in remote areas, a digital literacy gap among educators, and the difficulty of adapting the TRINGO strategy within the TPACK framework. In conclusion, professional development for teachers through continuous training, infrastructure support, and cross-sectoral collaboration are critical factors in realizing meaningful and sustainable digital learning. This study contributes to the development of innovative learning models based on local values suitable for the digital era.

Abstract

Visual programming is one of the courses offered in the bachelor's degree in educational technology. Based on a survey in the field, almost 85% of educational technology students do not have a background in learning programming. To provide motivation in learning visual programming, gamification is required in implementation. Usually the gamification principle is held offline. This study aims to determine the behavioral engagement of students during lectures by implementing online gamification. The method used was a survey of 98 students who were taking classes at the 8th meeting. The results showed that empirically the level of student behavioral engagement in visual programming courses was good in the high and medium categories, although some were categorized as low. Hypothetically, students are taking lectures at high and moderate levels. The overall results are discussed in the discussion section of the article.

Abstract

Numeracy learning from an early age is the foundation for students' academic success at the next level of education. However, current numeracy learning is still one-way, focused on memorizing numbers, so it does not provide meaningful experiences for students. This study aims to analyze the application of the Make a Match method based on Malangan local wisdom in numeracy learning for students aged 4-5 years. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation at Dharma Wanita Kindergarten, Malang Regency. The results of the study revealed that the application of the Make a Match method based on Malangan local wisdom succeeded in transforming numeracy learning. Success is reflected in the enthusiasm of students in participating in learning that integrates Malangan Masks and batik motifs into numeracy materials. Supporting factors include the creativity of educators in developing learning media and collaboration with local artists. Inhibiting factors include limited preparation time and the lack of cultural references that suit the characteristics of early childhood students. Recommendations for program development include ongoing training for educators related to cultural integration into learning and the preparation of a local cultural database that has been adapted for early childhood learning.

Abstract

World education organizations such as UNESCO and OECD have determined that creative and critical thinking are core 21st-century skills essential for students to master. Indonesia also views these two skills as very important, thus formulating creative and critical thinking into two of the six dimensions of the Pancasila Learner Profile. This study analyzes the data we collected during a creative and critical thinking assessment experiment with university students using the CC Thinker android application. The investigation was conducted on 46 participants with three assessment sessions. The research results showed that Creative Thinking in men showed a higher value than women. The Critical Thinking of men is more consistent than women. Creative Thinking of undergraduate students is more consistent than D3 students. However, the Critical Thinking of undergraduate students has increased. Creative Thinking of exact students is higher than non-exact students. In Critical Thinking, exact students develop as continuous exams are carried out. Creative thinking of students outside Java or Java is equal but in critical thinking Javanese students are better than students outside Java.
