Abstract

ABSTRACT Background : The highest incident of ARI is at North Mollo district, at Kapan Public Health Center. There where 51 cases of ARI-Pnemonia in babies (26%) and 189 cases for the last two months (February-March 2004). In a humid tropical environment, living in a traditional house Ume kbubu is a suitable choice, especially during the rainy season, because the people there feel warm. The traditional house of Dawan triad Ume kbubu has unique arsitecture, but it is far from being healthy house. Besides the unfavorable extrinsic and intrinsic factor of the traditional house of the Dawan Ume kbubu can be a predisposition of an incident ARI cases on babies. Methods: This research is observational research with cross sectional approach for analyzed the effect of physical factor’s of traditional house Dawan triad on the baby’s ISPA cases. This research take place at Obesi and Neonbesi village,Kec. Mollo Utara,Kab. TTS, Propinsi NTT. The total responden is 60 baby’s mother. 21 of them living in the traditional house ume kbubu, is the sample and for the equal sample is 39 who live in the non traditional house. Resulst: There is significant difference between physical traditional house and non traditional house with the baby;s ISPA cases, as following humidity , temperature ,Population Density and long of living. To test the relationship between the physical factor of the traditional house of the Ume kbubu and the incident of ARI (Annual Rate Incidende) in babies , using multiple logistic regresition test, α = 0,05 and it has a significant result that is population density and  temperature Conclusions : Based on that result we conclude that there is significant difference between physical traditional house and non traditional house with the baby;s ISPA cases. Abstract

Latar belakang: Pneumonia merupakan penyebab utama kematian pada anak di dunia. Salah satu faktor risiko yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian adalah adanya pajanan asap rokok lingkungan (environmental tobacco smoke, ETS) yang berasal dari adanya perokok dalam rumah. Kajian sistematis ini bertujuan menggambarkan hubungan keberadaan perokok dalam rumah dengan kejadian pneumonia pada anak.Metode: Penelusuran artikel dilakukan melalui database Portal Garuda Indonesia, PubMed, Scopus, dan ProQuest, pada bulan Mei 2020. Kriteria inklusi adalah penelitian dengan desain studi observasional dan fokus pada hubungan pajanan asap rokok dengan pneumonia pada anak, yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2000-2020.Hasil: Terdapat 8 artikel yang dikaji. Salah satu artikel melakukan pengukuran CCR (Cotinine/creatinine ratio) urin. Faktor terkait pajanan asap rokok yang terbukti berkaitan dengan peningkatan risiko pneumonia adalah adanya anggota keluarga yang merokok, lokasi merokok berada di dalam rumah, adanya bau tembakau di dalam ruangan, pajanan asap rokok pada masa prenatal terutama ibu yang merokok pada masa kehamilan, dan usia anak pada saat terpajan asap rokok.Simpulan: Keberadaan perokok dalam rumah meningkatkan risiko pneumonia pada anak, dengan kisaran 1,2-6,7 ABSTRACTTitle: The existence of smokers in the home as a risk factor of pneumonia in children:  A systematic review Background: Pneumonia is the leading cause of death in children worldwide. One of the risk factors that need an attention is exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) from the smoker in the house. The purpose of this systematic study is to describe relationship between the presence of smokers in the house and pneumonia in children.Methods: The literature search was carried out through the database of Portal Garuda Indonesia, PubMed, Scopus, and ProQuest, which were conducted in May 2020. The inclusion criteria are observational research designs and focus on the relationship between exposure to tobacco smoke and pneumonia in children that were published between 2000 and 2020.Results: Eight articles were selected for review. One of the articles has measured urinary cotinine/creatinine ratio (CCR). Factors related to the exposure to tobacco smoke which is proven to be associated with an increase risk of pneumonia in children were the presence of family members who smoke, location of smoking in the house, the smell of tobacco in the room, exposure to tobacco smoke during the prenatal period especially maternal smoking, and the age of the child when exposed to tobacco smoke. Conclusion: The presence of smokers in the home increases the risk of pneumonia in children, with a ranges between 1.2-6.7

Abstract

Background: RSUD Mimika has implemented its solid and waste management. However, it has not been implemented properly. This research aimed to evaluate the solid waste and waste water management from input, process and output aspects. Methods: The research applied an observational technique from the input, process, to output stages. The research attempted to find out problems during the management of solid waste and waste water. Data consisted of primary data from observation and secondary data from documents. The data processing was done by comparing them according to the hospital waste management standards to find out whether problems arise, which can be used for giving recommendation to waste-related problem-solving. Results: The research resulted in as follows: no waste management for 821 kilograms of 95 drug items; 54.31 kg/day (92%) of medical solid wastes were well managed; 4.5 kg/day (8%) of medical solid wastes were poorly managed; 101.9 kg/day (96.8%) of non medical solid wastes were well managed; 3.1 kg/day (3.2%) of non medical solid wastes were poorly managed. The hospital produced 35.56 m3/day of waste water and excessive 9.11 mg/l NH3-free waste water. Conclusion: solid waste and waste water management at RSUD Mimika had not been effectively and efficiently implemented due to problems related to input, process and output aspects. Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: The farmer of chilli often used pesticide in combination and using no  exact dose with reasoing n to increase the potentiality to plant diseases. This condition was harmful for human health, especially the sprayer of chili farmer that can  cause acute poisoning. One of the method to detect of pesticide poisoning was by checking the choliesterase activity in blood. The effect of the exixtance of pesticide in human body was obstructed enzym cholinesterase. This research aimed to analyze risk factors related to pesticide poisoning on the sprayer of chilli farmer in Bandungan Semarang. Method: It was an observational research  using cross-sectional design. The population of study were 110 sparyer of chilli farmers. Using proportional simple random sampling, It was taken 50 farmers.The variable studied in this research were knowledge, attitude, BMI, kind of pesticides, pesticide dose, duration of spray, frequency of spraying, spraying related to wind direction, personal hygiene and personal protective equipment use, and blood examnation to detect cholinestarase using Spectrophotometer. The data would be analyzed using Chi-square test and logistic regression method. Result: The research showed that there were 13  farmers (26%) who suffered severepoisoning and 37  farmers (74%) were suffered light poisoning. The risk  factors related to pesticide poisoning were knowledge, attitude, number of  pesticides used, pesticide dose, frequency of spraying, wind direction, personal hygiene and personal protective equipment use. Conclusion: Most of the chill farmer had suffered poisoning, although It was light. It was needed to improve the behaviour of chilli farmer in handling and spraying activity.   Key words: Chilli farmer, cholinesterase activity, organophosphate poisoning, Bandungan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background : PT. Kurnia Jati Utama is a wood processing company. Noise intensity in production room was passing over the threshold limit value (TLV) 85 dB (A). Workers work continuously over 8 hours a day or even more. If that noise exposure expose for 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week, it will make a sensory neural hearing loss. The Objective of this research was to determine factors that related to SNHL on unit production workers of PT. Kurnia Jati Utama. Methods : The research design used cross -  sectional approach. Populations of this research were workers at unit sawmill, garden furniture and moulding. Respondents were determine by inclusion criteria, and it was choose 60 workers. Data was analyzed using univariate technique with frequencies distribution table, bivariate by chi-square and multivariate analysis by logistic regression. Result The result of the study showed that 23 respondents  (38.3%) had sensory neural hearing loss  39 respondents ( 65%) had noise exposure more over   85 dB  ( A);30 respondents (60%) have age of  more than 30 year;  35 respondents ( 58,3%) had been  work less than 10 year;  45 respondents  ( 75%)  works over 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week; 51 respondents ( 85%) didn’t wear ear protector.  There was a significant relation between noise intensity, years of work and working hours with sensor neural hearing loss incidence. There was no relation between age and using self protector equipment with sensory neural hearing loss incidence; (9) There was a significant relation between noise intensity, years of work and working hours ( by together) with sensory neural hearing loss incidence Conclusions : Workers who have been working for more than 10 years, and works over 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week and expose the noise more than 85 dB (A), have 98,8% risk of sensory neural hearing loss risk.   Key Words : Noise, SNHL, Wood Industry Workers

Abstract

In the same manner as the other developing countries, Indonesia also remains face the difficulties against the high prevalence rate of infectious diseases, particularly ones that related with bad environmental condition. One of them, which is usually occurred in elementary school children and have a negative effect on their growth and development, is soil transmitted helminthiasis, an infection of intestinal worm transmitted through soil or known as helminthic disease. Three kinds of them are Ascaris lumbricoides, whipworm (Trichuris trichiura), and hookworm (Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale). Based on that background, this research tried to formulate the problem as follows: is there any relationship between house sanitation and the occurrence of helminthic disease reinfection on students of Bandarharjo 02-04 Elementary School? Conclusions taken from this research are: the occurrence rate of helminthic disease reinfection on Bandarharjo 02-04 Elementary School students in Semarang Regency was 48,3%, most of student’s houses (73,3%) were in a “not so good” environmental sanitation condition. There was no relationship between house sanitation and the occurrence of helminthic disease reinfection on students of Bandarharjo 02-04 Elementary School (p-value > 0,05) Key words : Environmental sanitation, reinfection, soil transmitted helminths

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Transportasi berperan penting terjadinya pencemaran udara baik dalam bentuk gas atau partikel seperti debu. Stasiun Tawang merupakan stasiun induk yang ramai dikunjungi. Berdasarkan pengukuran kadar debu, didapatkan kadar debu total di kawasan Stasiun Tawang sebesar 441,16 µg/Nm3. Debu dapat mengganggu fungsi paru pada masyarakat yang beraktivitas di area tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kadar debu terhirup dengan gangguan fungsi paru pada masyarakat di sekitar Stasiun Tawang SemarangMetode: Jenis penelitian menggunakan analitik observasional dengan desain studi cross sectional. Populasi penelitian sejumlah 83 orang yang beraktivitas setiap hari di Stasiun Tawang yaitu pedagang tetap, pedagang kaki lima, petugas rel, petugas kebersihan, satpam, dan petugas parkir dengan jumlah sampel 45 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dimana pengambilan sampel berdasarkan kriteria inklusi yaitu bersedia menjadi responden, berusia produktif, dan durasi kerja ≥8 jam/hari. Kadar debu terhirup diukur menggunakan alat Personal Dust Sampler selama 1 jam, gangguan fungsi paru diukur menggunakan alat spirometer. Variabel dependen adalah gangguan fungsi paru pada masyarakat di Stasiun Tawang dan variabel independen adalah paparan debu terhirup, umur, jenis kelamin, status gizi, masa kerja, durasi paparan, dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri dengan variabel pengganggu adalah kebiasaan merokok. Analisis statistik penelitian ini menggunakan uji Chi square α=0,05.Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukan 18 orang (40%) terpapar debu terhirup di atas NAB. Pemeriksaan fungsi paru menunjukan 44,4% orang mengalami gangguan. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara kadar debu terhirup (p-value = 0.001), jenis kelamin (p-value = 0.049), umur (p-value = 0.013), masa kerja (p-value = 0.027), penggunaan alat pelindung diri (p-value = 0.029) dengan gangguan fungsi paru pada masyarakat di sekitar Stasiun Tawang Semarang.Simpulan : Kadar debu terhirup merupakan faktor risiko terjadinya gangguan fungsi paru pada masyarakat di sekitar Stasiun Tawang Semarang.Kata kunci: Transportasi, debu, paru, masyarakat, Stasiun ABSTRACT Title: Inhaled Dust Levels and Impaired Lung Function in Communities around Tawang Station SemarangBackground: Transportation plays important of role in air pollution in form of gas and particle such as dust. Tawang Station is a main station that is highly visited. Based on the measurement of dust in the ambient are 441.16 μg/Nm3. Dust can influence the pulmonary function people in the area. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of inhaled dust and disorder lung function of the people who activited at Tawang Station, Semarang.Method: Type of research used observational analytic and cross sectional study design. Population of the research amount 83 people who activited at Tawang Station are permanent traders, street vendors, rail officers, janitors, security,and parking officers with a total sample are 45 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling where sampling based on inclusion criteria that is willing to be a respondent, productive age, and duration of work ≥8 hours/day. Inhaled dust levels tested using the Personal Dust Sampler for 1 hour and lung vital capacity used a spirometer. The dependent variable impaired pulmonary function at Tawang Station, the independent variable was inhaled dust, age, sex, nutritional status, years of service, duration of exposure, and use of personal protective equipment and the confounding variable is smoking habit. Statistical analysis used the Chi square test α=0,05.Result: The results that 18 people (40%) had inhaled dust levels the threshold limit values and the disorders lung function are 44.4%. There a correlation between the level of inhaled dust (p-value = 0,001), sex (p-value = 0.049), age (p-value = 0.013), years of service (p-value = 0.027), use of personal protective equipment (p-value = 0.029) and disorders lung function of the people who activited in Tawang Station SemarangConclusion: Inhaled dust is a risk factor around Semarang Tawang Station.Keywords: transportation, dust, lung, community, station

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Sanitasi total berbasis masyarakat (STBM) merupakan suatu pendekatan untuk mengubah perilaku higiene dan sanitasi dengan melakukan pemicuan di komunitas. Pilar kedua dalam program program STBM adalah cuci tangan pakai sabun. Pelaksanaan STBM di Kecamatan Nangaroro selama 7 tahun mengalami peningkatan jumlah sarana cuci tangan pakai sabun yaitu sebanyak 2.014 dan yang belum memiliki sarana sebanyak 1351 rumah Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan cuci tangan pakai sabun di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Nangaroro.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode evaluasi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling dan dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak sebanyak 16 orang yaitu petugas sanitarian 1 orang, petugas Promkes 1 orang serta 14 orang tim STBM desa.Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukan hanya ada satu orang petugas sanitarian, tidak ada sarana transportasi, dan tidak adanya evaluasi lintas sektor.Simpulan: Penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan program STBM pilar kedua cuci tangan pakai sabun di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Nangaroro belum dapat berjalan dengan baik karena terdapat beberapa kendala dalam pelaksanaanya. Diharapkan adanya pendampingan dan keikutsertaan dari Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Nagekeo dalam pelaksanaan program STBM.Kata kunci: Evaluasi, STBM, cuci tangan, sabun ABSTRACT Title: Community Based Total Sanitation Program Evaluation in The Working Area of The Nangaror PuskesmasBackground: Community-based total sanitation (STBM) is an approach to change hygiene and sanitation behavior by triggering in the community. The second pillar in the STBM program is washing hands with soap. The implementation of STBM in Nangaroro Subdistrict for 7 years has increased the number of means of washing hands with soap, namely 2,014 and 1351 houses that do not have the facilities. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of washing hands with soap in the work area of the Nangaroro Health Center.Method: This study uses an evaluation method with a qualitative approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling and carried out by in-depth interviews. The number of samples in this study were 16 people, namely 1 sanitarian officer, 1 Promkes officer and 14 village STBM teams.Result: This research shows that there is only one sanitarian officer, no means of transportation, and no cross-sectoral evaluation.Conclusion: This research is the implementation of the second pillar STBM program washing hands with soap in the work area of the Nangaroro Health Center has not been able to run properly because there are several obstacles in its implementation. Abstract

Coal operations can produce dust. Coal dust that can be solved by breathing in workers. The results of observations of loading and unloading activities, coal transport trucks causing dust to fly. Dusty work areas can be seen from the surrounding plants blackened, as well as the worker’s limbs due to coal dust attached. The results of measurement of air quality in the work environment are known to be below the NAV in accordance with Permenakertrans No. 5 of 2018. The purpose of this study was to discuss the relationship of coal dust exposure with subjective complaints of respiratory disorders at coal stockpile workers. This study was an observational study with a cross sectional design with a total sample of 36 workers. Data collection by measuring PM 2.5 in ambient  with EPAM 5000 Haz-Dust, measurement of respirable dust levels with Personal Dust Sampler (PDS), Knowing nutritional status through body mass index (BMI) and worker data and subjective complaint respiratory disorders with the questionnaire. Univariate data analysis and bivariate with the chi-square test. The results showed that 83.3% of workers with respirable coal dust exposure were higher than the threshold value (NAV) and 63.9% of workers who discussed subjectively breathing problems. The conclusion from this study there is relationship between the use of PPE (mask) obtained p-value = 0.006 and smoking habits (p = 0.005) with subjective complaint of respiratory disorders on workers in the coal stockpile.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Earning per Share (EPS), Return on Equity (ROE), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) towards share price. The population used in this study were 30 companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) during the 2014-2017 period. Sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method and obtained samples of 17 companies per year which are most active in trading in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) group during 2014-2017 period. The analytical tool used to test the hypothesis in this study was multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software. Hypothesis testing results indicate that EPS, ROE, PER, NPM, and DER variables simultaneously have positive and significant effect on share price. Partially, EPS and ROE variables have positive effect on share price. While, NPM have a negative effect on share price, PER and DER have no negative effect on share price, and. R Square testing result showed that the Adjusted R Square is 0.759. It means that 75.9% of the dependent variable which was stock price can be explained by independent variables namely EPS, ROE, PER, NPM, and DER, while the remaining 24.1% is affected by other variables that are not in the linear regression model.
