Abstract

Abstract: The research is based on the low learning outcomes of IPA students of grade III SDN 003 Bangkinang Kota. This is due to the the teacher’s central learning. For learning IPA the inquiry learning model is a suitable model to use. The inquiry model makes learning student centered so as to emphasize student activity to find out for themselves the answer to what is being questioned. This study aims to determine the imporvement of IPA learning outcomes of students by implementation use inquiry model. Method this research is Quasi Eksperiment Nonequivalent Grup Pretest-postest Design. This study was conduted on 54 subjects of primary school students’ in SDN 003 Bangkinang. The results this research was improving learning outcomes students after implementation inquiry model. Based on the results of research obtained learning outcomes of IPA students who learn with inquiry learning model better and higher than on learning with conventional model. Seen from the value of the gain index in the experimental class of 0,52 which is the medium category, while the value of gain index in conventional class is 0,19 which is low kategory. This suggest that the inquiry model can improve the learning outcomes of IPA on the Primary School Students.Keyword: Inquiry model, learning outcomes of IPA

Abstract

This study aims to develop an appropriate and practical math textbook in the unit of the Least Common Multiple (LCM) and the Greatest Common Divisor (GCD) using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in order to increase elementary students’ learning motivation. This is a Research and Development (RnD) type of study with the Plomp model. A mathematician and a teacher assessed the validity of the textbook. The practicality of the textbook was assessed by two teachers and 15 students using questionnaires. The students' motivation was assessed by the students using questionnaires as well. The results showed that the textbook was appropriate with an average of 83.32%, the respondent results from the students’ views were practical with an average of 82.33% and very practical with an average of 87.6 from the teachers’ view. This study also found that the textbook increased the students’ learning motivation by 6.45%.

Abstract

Learning DRTA strategy is a suitable strategy in reading, so that research is conducted using a quasi-experiment method with nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design to see the effect seen from the pretest data in the experimental class of 10, 34, and the control class of 10.43 with an ideal score 20. In the posttest data, the average experimental class is 15.22, and the control class is 13.5, seen from the results of the pretest and posttest data, the experimental class has a higher increase in comprehension reading ability. To be clearer whether there is a difference in the ability of elementary school students, it was first tested by calculating the t-test statistic on pretest data  = 0.13 ≤   = 2.00 it can be concluded that there is no significant difference. Posttest data in the t-test is obtained  = 1.79 ≤  = 2.00 it can be concluded that there is no significant difference. So it can be concluded that this study has an influence on the DRTA strategy seen in the increase in the average pretest and posttest data of elementary school students. Keywords: Strategy DRTA, Elementary School Students, Nonequivalent Group

Abstract

The product produced by this development research is a learning media in the form of a quartet card on Natural Resources material. This learning media product was created and designed with the aim that it can be applied as a teacher's tool in delivering material, literacy activities and as a source of independent learning by students. The purpose of this research is to produce a product for developing Kakli learning media (Quartet Literacy Cards) on Natural Resources material. This research is included in research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) because it is seen as a suitable design model for the development of learning media in the form of this Literacy Quartet Card. The data collection instrument used in the study was a questionnaire (questionnaire). In this research and development, researchers conducted quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results of the research conducted, it can be concluded as follows: The media of the natural resource material literacy quartet card is classified as very valid with a score of 83% for material validation, and for the validation of the natural resource material literacy quartet card media it is declared a valid category so that it has met validity criteria and can be used in schools, then categorized in the game media which is very feasible in the teacher response test and student response test with a score of 92% and 86.33%, which is above 81.25%

Abstract

Real work lectures are a form of student service to the community as a manifestation of the tri dharma of higher education. In this period, the actual work lecture activities underwent a change in the procedure in which the kukerta activities were carried out at the student's residence. This is because the spread of the Covid-19 virus is increasing day by day. This activity aims to make students able to appreciate and overcome problems that arise in a society that is generally complex, as well as to help prevent the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. The ease in dealing with this is carried out systematically and is reflected in student activities when carrying out the Covid-19 Volunteer Kukerta programs in the Kelurahan. The Covid-19 Volunteer Kukerta activity at the University of Riau was carried out in Kampung Tengah Village, Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. The Covid-19 Kukerta Volunteer Team at the University of Riau runs various programs that support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 outbreak, including the program for making and distributing hand sanitizers, spraying disinfectant programs, making and distributing herbal medicine programs, mutual cooperation program activities, and the Riau Bank cash social assistance program Riau Islands, and the food distribution program.

This volunteer activity is carried out with the aim of increasing public awareness about Covid-19. In Teluk Batil Village, there are still people who do not use masks regularly and maintain a distance according to the health protocol directions when outside their homes. This is because there is still a lack of understanding about the dangers that will arise from the virus. This activity started with consulting the sub-district secretary and village head, distributing new normal brochures, educational videos for children, distributing masks, providing handwashing facilities, hand sanitizers, and some of the activities we carried out. With the hope that the community can maintain health starting from themselves and the surrounding environment as an effort to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19.

Abstract

The Meranti Archipelago is the largest producer and exporter of sago in Indonesia. However, in some areas, sago processing sites have not developed optimally, especially in Bagan Melibur Village. Based on this, the research team from the University of Riau carried out community service activities in Bagan Melibur Village, Merbau District, Meranti Islands, Riau on June 25 – July 1, 2021. In this activity, the research team collaborated with MSMEs BAS (Bagan Melibur Amanah Sejahtera) ) and the local community to build a drying house with UV plastic coating that can be used to dry sago cendol food products so that they can be processed into dry food which is expected to optimize the production and marketing of processed sago. Solar radiation that is absorbed directly by UV plastic functions as a conductor and retainer of heat so that the temperature in a place or room is maintained. The achievement of the results obtained in the form of a drying house with solar power that can be used at any time and in cloudy or rainy weather conditions. With this, of course, the production of dry sago cendol can last longer and can be marketed outside the Bagan Melibur area.

Abstract

Many studies have developed learning media, but few studies focus on developing learning media in ele-mentary schools using Genially and studying teachers' perceptions of Genially learning media. This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of hybrid learning media with a more accurate and precise method, namely the item response theory (IRT) from the Rasch model. The survey was carried out by distributing a Likert scale questionnaire of 19 statements. Moreover, the subjects were 45 elementary school teachers in Riau Province, Indonesia. The results showed that they positively perceived the developed genially-based learning media. Genially learning media can support teachers in teaching. Based on these results, teachers need to develop skills in making various technology-based media, in order to support hybrid learning.
