Abstract

Pelaksanaan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk video animasi materi geometri bangun datar untuk peserta didik kelas II sekolah dasar yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau research and development/R&D dengan model pengembangan Plomp. Model pengembangan ini memiliki 3 fase penelitian, yaitu Preliminary Research Phase, Development or Prototyping Phase, dan Assasement Phase. Setelah produk video animasi selesai dikembangkan, kemudian dilakukan tahapan validasi produk dengan 3 orang ahli. Ketiga ahli tersebut adalah ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bahasa. Adapun hasil dari tahapan validasi produk ini, media video animasi mendapatkan skor rata-rata keseluruahan dari ketiga ahli yaitu 0,86 dengan kategori sangat valid. Setelah mendapatkan kategori valid pada tahapan validasi produk, kemudian dilakukan uji praktikalitas dengan guru dan peserta didik kelas II sekolah dasar untuk mengetahui tingkat kepraktisan dari produk video animasi yang dikembangkan. Adapun hasil penilaian pada tahapan uji praktikalitas dengan guru, produk video animasi mendapatkan rata-rata skor 94,86% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Sedangkan hasil penilaian uji praktikalitas peserta didik, produk video animasi mendapatkan rata-rata skor 92,84% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil dari serangkaian pengujian tersebut, dapat diambil suatu kesimpulan bahwa produk video animasi yang dikembangkan ini telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan praktikalitas. Dengan demikian, produk video animasi materi geometri bangun datar ini sudah dapat digunakan sebagai media pada pembelajaran materi bangun datar untuk peserta didik kelas II sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Teachers’ mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge has been a central issue for the last few decades. Therefore, this study investigates and compares prospective teachers’ mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge referring to gender, year of study, and academic major. This study used an online survey through online questionnaires. The population was prospective elementary and mathematics teachers from a public university in Riau province, Indonesia. The questionnaires were distributed via WhatsApp, and LMS integrated in courses in the University. There were 195 prospective teachers participated in this study. A non-parametric statistical analysis was used to compare teachers’ knowledge based on gender, year of study, and academic major. The findings reveal that there were no significant differences of teachers’ mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge based on gender, year of study, and academic major. Therefore, mathematics learning at university has no impact on prospective teachers’ self-evaluation of their knowledge.

Abstract

This study compares the syntax of the discovery learning and inquiry learning models based on the Among system. This research was a descriptive type of research and used a comparative design. The method of data collection in this research was a literature study. The literature study used is research that is in accordance with the research of researchers and the latest research. The results found that the learning model of discovery learning and inquiry learning based from the Among system was very well implemented in elementary schools. The use of these various models can be adapted to the needs of the educator. Along with the literature study, these two models can support students' abilities and create meaningful learning for students.

Abstract

The research aims to know teachers’ social competences based on the educator certificate. The research method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative method. The data-collection technique used was a questionnaire technique. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive analysis. Teachers’ social competences based on educator certificates in general have a good category. This corresponds with teachers’ social competence indicators of being inclusive and objective, adapting to the assigned environment, effective communication and good manners in communication.

Abstract

This research is a development research (R&D) which aims to develop bilingual teaching materials on square, rectangular, and triangle-based material based on RME (Realistic Mathematical Education) in grade III Elementary. This study uses the Plomp model with the research subjects of third grade students at SD Negeri 011 Kembang Harum. The development of teaching materials is carried out in 3 phases; preliminary research, development or prototype, and assessment. Data collection techniques are interviews and questionnaires. The validation of teaching materials was carried out by 3 experts; material experts, educational technology experts, and language experts. The validation results from the three experts or validators show that the bilingual teaching material on the RME-based square, rectangular, and triangular materials obtained an average percentage of 90.55% with the "very valid" category. Practicality tests were conducted on teachers and students. The results from students obtained an average percentage of 96% in the "very practical" category and from teachers obtained an average percentage of 92% in the "very practical" category. Based on the results of the validation and practicality obtained, it can be concluded that the bilingual teaching materials on the square, rectangular, and triangular materials developed meet the valid and practical criteria.

Abstract

This study is based on a low learning student’s social science outcomes. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of IPS with the implementation of cooperative learning model type talking stick, each cycle of two meetings and a one-time test. This study was conducted on 23 subjects of primary school students’ in SDIT Insan Utama Pekanbaru. The result of this research obtained average student’s learning outcomes 76,73 with enough categories and on the second cycle student’s learning outcomes increase to 82,17 categorized well. This suggests that the cooperative model type talking stick can improve the learning outcomes of IPS on the Primary School Students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a big book learning media on the theme of growth and development of living things sub-theme 1 which is valid and practical for third grade elementary school students. This research is research and development, and the researcher applies the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The learning media developed was validated by 2 media experts. To test the practicality, the researcher distributed questionnaires to teachers and students. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and student learning outcomes in the form of LKPD. The data obtained were then analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The learning media developed was very valid with an average score of 87.03% and included in the very practical category with an average score of 93.05% from teachers and 90.55% from students. Student learning outcomes in the form of LKPD with an average score of 83.33%. Therefore, the big book learning media with the theme of growth and development of living things in sub-theme 1 can be used by elementary school students and teachers.

Abstract

An ability to think critically is to comprehend, apply, and analyse the truth of a given problem. There is a need for an efficient pedagogical framework that can help students develop critical thinking abilities while studying science. The goal of this research was to analyse the efficacy of an interactive media-assisted inquiry learning methodology applied to the topic of form and energy change in developing students' critical thinking skills. This study involved two fourth-grade classes at a Pekanbaru elementary school and took offline over two months (February and March 2022). There were 16 female and 9 male students in the experimental class and 14 female and 11 male students in the control class, respectively, who made up the research sample. In all, fifty students took part in the research. Information gleaned from before and after an experiment. The research approach is Quasi-experimental, utilising the Nonequivalent Control Group Design as the research shape. The t-test, a method for testing hypotheses, was used to assess the data. As can be seen from the data, the significance level for hypothesis testing was 0.032 (2-tailed). When this number is less than 0.05, H0 is rejected, and Ha is approved. Students' ability to think critically has improved as a result of using the media-assisted inquiry learning approach applied to the transformations of matter and energy, as shown by the results of this study.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bedekeh is a medical tradition passed down from generation to generation in the Akit tribe aiming at curing a person's illness. Bedekeh ritual contains cosmological and religious ideology regarding human relationship with Akit ancestors, God and human relationship with other forces beyond human ability. This ritual is dedicated to the ancestral gods as an aid in one's treatment. The ritual is led by Batin (Bomoh or big shaman). This study employs a qualitative technique with a cultural studies approach to explore Bedekeh in the Akit tribal community in relation to Islam. The study found that in the Bedekeh ritual, when someone enters a state of trance (possessed), various spirits such as the Islamic spirit (Hantu Islam), the Malay spirit (Malay ghost), and others appeared, and then helped and communicated according to the mantra that was chanted when entering the body. The original Malay community who embraced Islam rejected the local tradition of the Bedekeh ritual because it was considered to contain animistic teachings that were shirk, idolatrous, and heretical. The people of the Akit tribe are often positioned as the outermost area (periphery) and are placed in a low position and the lowest social status. The construction of such social structures still affects the Malay community and the Muslim Malay community until today.  Keywords: Akit tribe, bedekeh, belief, cultural studies, ritual    ABSTRAK Bedekeh merupakan tradisi pengobatan yang diturunkan dari gene­rasi ke generasi pada masyarakat suku Akit dengan tujuan untuk menyem­buh­­kan penyakit pada diri seseorang. Ritual bedekeh mengandung ideologi kosmologi dan ideologi religius mengenai hubungan manusia dengan leluhur Akit, Tuhan dan keselarasan manusia dengan kekuatan-kekuatan lain di luar kemampuan jangkauan pikiran manusia. Ritual ini dipersem­bah­­kan untuk dewa-dewa leluhur yang akan dipanggil sebagai penolong dalam pengobatan seseorang yang dipimpin oleh Batin (Bomoh atau dukun besar). Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kualitatif dengan pende­katan cultural studies untuk mengungkap Bedekeh pada masyarakat suku Akit dalam kaitannya dengan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam ritual Bedekeh dan dalam keadaan trance (kerasukan), maka muncul berbagai roh seperti roh Islam (Hantu Islam), roh Melayu (hantu Melayu), dan lain-lain yang membantu dan berkomunikasi sesuai dengan mantra yang dilantunkan saat memasuki tubuh Batin. Masyarakat Melayu asli yang memeluk Islam menolak tradisi lokal ritual Bedekeh karena dianggap mengandung ajaran animisme yang bersifat syirik, musrik, dan sesat. Masya­rakat suku Akit sering diposisikan sebagai area terluar (periferi) dan menempatkan pada posisi yang rendah dan derajat sosial terendah. Konstruksi struktur sosial yang demikian masih memengaruhi masyarakat Melayu dan Masyarakat Melayu Muslim hingga sekarang.  Kata kunci: bedekeh, kepercayaan, suku Akit, ritual

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran tari berwawasan peduli lingkungan. Karena pada saat ini masih terdapat beberapa guru yang saat mengajar menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi, oleh karena itu mengakibatkan pembelajaran menjadi kurang efektif dan memakan banyak waktu serta tenaga untuk menjelaskan proses demi proses ketika mengajar di kelas (Achmad dan Asidigisianti, 2016). Untuk menghindari hal tersebut maka dibutuhkan media yang tepat dan dapat menggambarkan setiap proses demi proses dari mulai persiapan hingga selesai tanpa harus memakan waktu yang cukup lama dan dapat digunakan kembali serta dapat menarik daya minat siswa dalam belajar sehingga siswa tidak merasa bosan ketika belajar. Oleh sebab itu seorang guru diminta untuk dapat menciptakan sebuah media pembelajaran, dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran akan mempermudah guru dalam menyampaikan materi, sehingga media pembelajaran dapat digunakan sebagai media yang menggabungkan suara dengan gambar sehingga akan lebih menarik perhatian ketika proses pembelajaran. Dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran akan mempermudah guru dalam menyampaikan materi, sehingga media pembelajaran dapat digunakan sebagai media yang menggabungkan suara dengan gambar sehingga akan lebih menarik perhatian ketika proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran juga memiliki kelebihan yang salah satunya adalah dapat dilihat secara berulang-ulang apabila membutuhkannya. dari penelitian ini yaitu dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 78,98% dengan kategori sangat baik.
