Abstract

Regular Islamic gatherings function not only as spiritual and social activities but also have the potential to stimulate local economic activity. This study aims to analyze the role of Gus Iqdam’s religious gathering management in improving the income of the Karanggayam Village community. The research employs a qualitative field approach through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that structured management—planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling—can create economic activities that increase vendors’ income. Daily earnings of vendors may rise up to four times compared to regular days. Factors such as business capital, length of business operation, location, and working hours also influence income levels. These findings indicate that the management of religious gatherings can serve as an instrument for community economic empowerment and holds potential to be developed as a model for strengthening community-based economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of income on the economic conditions of fishing communities on the coast of Sungai Duri I Village, Bengkayang Regency. Fishermen are a community group that relies on marine products as their primary source of livelihood. However, fluctuations in catches, weather, and access to production facilities often affect the stability of their income. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through field observations and in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using surveys, interviews, and documentation to examine the relationship between income and economic indicators of fishing communities, such as consumption levels, education, and access to health services. The results show that fishermen's income has a significant influence on improving family economic conditions, although there are still structural obstacles that need to be addressed. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a consideration for local governments in designing more effective fishermen empowerment policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how community-based Islamic boarding school financing management synergizes with banking institutions to strengthen educational services. Islamic boarding schools have long played a strategic role in Indonesia's academic and social development; however, many face ongoing challenges related to financial sustainability, service quality, and managerial capacity amidst global change. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal three primary outcomes: first, synergy with banking institutions enables infrastructure development, program innovation, and the provision of scholarships that directly improve the quality of educational services. Second, improved financial governance, transparency, and access to financing strengthen institutional trust and operational sustainability. Third, integrating ZISWAF management and financial literacy programs empowers both institutions and students, engaging government, industry, academia, the community, and the environment. This study contributes to the Islamic education management literature by introducing an ecosystem-based financing perspective and by recommending broader policy support and future mixed-methods research to inform large-scale, inclusive Islamic boarding school financing models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of holistic Islamic education in the context of structural poverty by integrating Sufism, mindfulness, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) to strengthen students’ mental leadership resilience. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design and data analysis based on the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that economic inequality has a multidimensional impact, hindering not only economic and social access but also affecting the mental health and educational quality of madrasah students. Despite living in fertile, resource-rich areas, many farmers still live in structural poverty, affecting their younger generations. Madrasah responds to this situation by developing mental resilience-based learning that integrates the values of Sufism, mindfulness, positive psychology, and SEL. However, these efforts are limited by the lack of professionals, inadequate infrastructure, and negative stigma from the community towards mental health issues. The implications of this study provide a basis for developing more holistic and context-specific educational policies and psychosocial interventions, particularly in disadvantaged areas. Additionally, this study offers key recommendations for collaboration among the government, educational institutions, and the community to build support systems that enhance students’ emotional and mental resilience, breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic productivity, Islamic consumption, and Islamic production on welfare in Indonesia in 2023. Social inequality and unequal distribution of welfare remain fundamental issues, raising profound questions about the continued increase in economic growth that has not been fully absorbed by the lower levels of society. This study uses quantitative methods from secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS), and halal.kemenperin.go.id. This study sample covers 34 provinces out of a population of 38 provinces in Indonesia in the 2023 period, due to limited data availability. Multiple linear regression was used for data analysis, while SPSS version 25 was utilized for data processing. The results of this study indicate that, simultaneously, economic productivity, Islamic consumption, and Islamic production have a positive and significant effect on welfare. Partially, economic productivity has a positive but insignificant effect on welfare. Then, partially, Islamic consumption has a negative but insignificant effect on welfare. And partially, Islamic production has a positive and significant effect on welfare. This finding confirms that prosperity in Islamic economics is not only determined by economic growth alone, but also by the blessings of balanced and fair productive and consumption activities.
