Abstract

Infants and toddlers are in a critical period of rapid growth and development, often referred to as the "golden age." During this stage, regular nutritional assessments are essential to monitor health status and detect potential nutritional problems early. This study aims to classify the nutritional status of infants and toddlers using the Naïve Bayes algorithm, a probabilistic classification method based on Bayes' theorem with a strong assumption of attribute independence. The main attributes used in the classification system include age, weight, and height. The dataset consists of 700 records of infants and toddlers collected from previous observations. The results show that the Naïve Bayes algorithm can be effectively implemented for nutritional status classification, achieving a system accuracy of 88.14%. This indicates that the method performs well and has the potential to be utilized in decision support systems for child health monitoring.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the gastronomic branding strategies of Bugis-Makassar traditional treats in starred hotels. This research uses an inductive qualitative analysis. Inductive analysis is an approach that begins with field facts, analyzes them based on relevant theories and arguments, and ultimately yields a conclusion. The results show that Bugis-Makassar traditional treats have been successfully positioned as a crucial element in the hospitality industry, particularly in South Sulawesi. The branding strategies implemented by several starred hotels involve aspects of nutrition, color, shape, layout, and the arrangement of slices that not only blend local wisdom with international standards but also highlight the originality and authenticity of the cuisine. The visually appealing and nutritionally compliant presentation, integrated with local wisdom in every aspect, demonstrates how Bugis-Makassar traditional treats can enhance the culinary experience offered by starred hotels, while also strengthening the identity of traditional gastronomy in a global context. Therefore, it is recommended that the relevant stakeholders expand the application of gastronomic branding strategies for Bugis-Makassar traditional treats. Chefs are encouraged to continue developing innovations in a presentation that include aspects of nutrition, colour, shape, layout, and the arrangement of slices to maintain and increase tourist interest in traditional treats. Tourists are urged to include traditional treats as a vital part of their travel experience. Cultural experts are expected to provide preferences for other types of Bugis-Makassar traditional treats that are being eroded or no longer found in the modern era to chefs so that they can be considered for revitalization and reintroduction in menus. Furthermore, this strategy can be applied not only in starred hotels but also in cultural events, culinary festivals, and other related sectors to enhance recognition and appreciation of Bugis-Makassar traditional treats on a broader scale.

Abstract

Scientific information relating to invasive species in Indonesia is still very minimal, especially regarding microalgae. This study was carried out in September – November 2023 at three ports in Aceh Province with the aim of analyzing water quality factors, identifying types of microalgae, and suspecting the presence or absence of invasive microalgae. Microalgae data was collected by filtering surface water samples. The parameters temperature, pH, salinity, current speed, transparency, and dissolved oxygen were measured in situ, while phosphate, nitrate, and ammonia were measured ex situ, and the water quality characteristics were analyzed using PCA. Meanwhile, to suspect the presence or absence of invasive microalgae, this is done by comparing the results of microalgae research from other experts around the research location. The values of phosphate, nitrate, and ammonia have exceeded the quality standards (1.07 ± 1.00 mg/L, 1.63 ± 0.95 mg/L, and 0.47 ± 0.74 mg/L), which indicates an increase in microalgae production. The microalgae composition was found to be 407 ind/ml, 21 species, and 5 classes. Furthermore, the water quality characteristics show that there are three groupings resulting from PCA analysis, with the identification results not finding invasive microalgae species.

Abstract

The city of Lhokseumawe, which is one of the cities that has a topography such as a bay and a very busy area as the center of government, business, and services, has also experienced congestion. In 2012, the Lhokseumawe City Government has started planning to build a 7.6 Kilometer Lhokseumawe City Ring Road, starting from Sp.Kandang – Pusong and Sp. Lestari – Loskala. The ring road construction is along the shores of Ujong Blang Beach and KP3, where Ujong Blang Beach and KP3 since 1998 until now continue to experience abrasion. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of abrasion speed of Ujong Blang Beach and KP3 Beach and risk factors other than abrasion for an optimal risk-based management model approach to the Lhokseumawe City Ring Road as coastal infrastructure that is prone to abrasion and other risks. The method used to determine the abrasion rate is based on Landsat ETM+ (Enhanced Thematic Mapper) satellite data for a period of 25 years (1995 – 2020) which is analyzed by the Digital Shoreline Analysis System. The results showed that the magnitude of the abrasion speed of Ujong Blang Beach and KP3 Beach was -2.11 m/year and the farthest accretion occurred on the coast on transect 83 with an accretion distance of 111.34 m or around 4.45. Meanwhile, other factors were sea waves. with a period range of 2.33-10.25 s with an average of 4.57 s. Furthermore, the height of the coastal topography ranges from 0.00-8.60 m with an average of 4.30 m and the coastal slope observed at 8 observation locations obtained a coastal slope range of 2.90-4.47% with an average slope of 3,76%. The optimum risk-based management carried out by the ring road manager is the ALARP-principles approach to control very high to high risk (ALARP Zone), namely by building a preventive building in the form of a conventional type of breakwater with minimal handling costs to mitigate a greater impact on the environment. Damage to the Lhokseumawe City Ring Road if the risk occurs during the life of the road plan.

Abstract

Execution is a matter of carrying out a court decision which has permanent legal force. The court verdict that is being executed is the one that has substance order to one of the parties to pay some money or in other case the implementation of the judge’s decision that has ordered to empty fixed object, while the losing party does not want to implement the decision voluntarily so that it requires coercive effort from the court to implement the following matter. Therefore, the land clearing execution in accordande to the civil court decisions that have permanent legal force at Bangkinang District Court is the real execution as well as an execution of some money payment in accordance with the applicable provision. The obstacles within the execution of land clearing of civil case decisions that have permanent legal force at the Bangkinang District are various such as the executed wealth does not exist, the decision’s trait is declarator, the object of execution in the hands of third-parties, execution of the tenants, the object being executed were guaranteed to the third-parties, the land to be executed has no clear boundary, the change in the status of land to state land, the object of execution is abroad, two decisions are different from each other, and for the last, the execution of shared assets. The efforts made in the execution of land clearing of civil case decisions that have permanent legal force at the Bangkinang District Court are ordinary legal efforts divided into resistance (verzet), appeals, and also cassation while the special legal remedies are divided into judicial review (civil request) and the resistance from a third party (derdenverzet).
