Abstract

Abstract

This research focuses on the role of women's leadership in integrating Dayak culture to improve the quality of digital-based education in elementary schools in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. With a qualitative approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, this study identifies how women's leadership can facilitate the adoption of digital technologies while maintaining local cultural values. The results of the study show that Dayak women who lead in schools have a strategic role in designing educational policies that combine elements of technology with traditional culture, creating a more inclusive and relevant learning environment for students. Despite challenges, such as limited digital infrastructure and community resistance, women's leadership has proven effective in improving students' understanding of local cultures while preparing them for the digital world. Women's leadership plays an important role in strengthening the integration of local culture in digital education, increasing the competitiveness of education in East Kalimantan. It is recommended that there be technology training for women educators and increased access to digital infrastructure in elementary schools to support the success of this integration.

Abstract

Academic supervision, work motivation, and collaborative learning practices are key aspects influencing teacher performance. These three elements support the creation of a higher quality and more effective educational environment. This study aims to assess the impact of academic supervision, work motivation, and collaborative learning practices on teacher performance at public junior high schools in Berau Regency. Utilizing a quantitative approach with cluster random sampling, the research population consists of 20 accredited A public junior high schools totaling 507 teachers, while the sample includes 9 accredited A schools with 244 teachers. Data were collected through validated and reliable questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that academic supervision significantly impacts teacher performance with a contribution of 35%. Additionally, work motivation has a smaller effect at 6.9%, while collaborative learning practices also contribute 35%. Collectively, these factors account for 35% of teacher performance, with the remaining influence attributed to unidentified factors. The study emphasizes the importance of synergy between academic supervision providing constructive feedback, relevant incentives to motivate teachers, and developing learning communities that support ongoing professional growth. School leaders should enhance academic supervision through targeted training, local governments should offer more effective performance-based rewards, and schools should facilitate sustainable learning community programs to foster continuous innovation in teaching and improve teacher performance consistently. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educational policy in Berau Regency and enhance the overall quality of education in Indonesia

Abstract

YPPSB is an educational institution that implements 21st century learning by providing technological devices in the form of smart TVs in every classroom, even installing CCTV in junior high school classrooms. Programmed supervision at YPPSB is an effort to manage learning in accordance with educational developments. This phenomenon is the background for research that aims to evaluate the context, input, process, and product of YPPSB's 21st century learning supervision program. This study uses a qualitative approach that describes the learning supervision program with the CIPP model evaluation method (Context, Input, Process, and Product) based on data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, data observation, and analysis of relevant documents. Data analysis techniques are carried out with interactive models including data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity checks are carried out with credibility tests including extended observations, increased persistence, triangulation, discussions with colleagues, negative case analysis, and member checks. The results of the context evaluation study explain that the YPPSB Principal conveyed the background, needs, and objectives of supervision verbally to the Teacher in the second week before implementation; the results of the input evaluation explain that YPPSB has supervisor qualifications in accordance with Permendikbudristek No. 40 of 2021 but does not require a code of ethics; the results of the process evaluation explain that YPPSB uses supervision instruments based on the 2007 process standards, carries out a direct contact approach (TK and SD) and collaborative (SMP), with individual techniques; and the results of the product evaluation explain that YPPSB presents reports by collecting supervision instrument documents, not presenting them according to the direction of the Ministry of Education and Culture (2019).

Abstract

Child-Friendly Schools (SRA) as regulated in PPPA Regulation No. 12 of 2022 aims to make schools a safe place and support children's development. This study aims to evaluate internal quality management in building SRA at SMKN 1 Sangatta Utara. The study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies, as well as data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that planning has not been determined in writing through a Decree on the Determination of SRA, but a Violence Prevention and Handling Team (TPPK) has been formed. Organization is still divided between TPPK and the Student Affairs Team. Implementation has not involved all teachers and education personnel. Supervision is less than optimal because it is only carried out by the principal. Supporting factors include the existence of the TPPK and Student Affairs Team programs and the allocation of funds in the RKAS. Inhibiting factors include the absence of a Decree on the Determination of SRA, lack of understanding of all school residents, incomplete facilities and infrastructure, and the absence of special training related to SRA.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) plays a crucial role in shaping children's developmental foundations, making quality management a vital aspect of ensuring optimal educational services. The main focus includes planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, as well as challenges and strategic solutions in applying quality management in the school. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and verification techniques. The findings indicate that quality management at TK Negeri Pembina Tanjung Redeb has been implemented through various planning strategies, including annual program development and curriculum enhancement. In terms of organization, the school principal plays a central role in forming a solid team to improve the effectiveness of educational management. The implementation of quality management is reflected in strengthening teacher competencies, optimizing facilities and infrastructure, and enhancing play-based learning methods. Supervision is conducted through routine evaluations of teacher performance and student development. However, this study also identifies several challenges, such as limited resources, low teacher welfare, and a lack of parental involvement. To overcome these challenges, recommended strategies include regular teacher training, increased support from stakeholders, and optimal utilization of available resources. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of quality management policies in PAUD, particularly in the context of continuous improvement to enhance early childhood education services.
