Abstract

This study examines how mainstream online media construct the narrative of the victory of presidential candidate pair number 02 in Indonesia’s 2024 Presidential Election (Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka). The analysis focuses on post-election coverage published by Detik.com and Kompas.com, employing Robert N. Entman’s framing model with four key elements: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgments, and suggest remedies. The data consist of six news articles published between 14 February–21 March 2024. The findings reveal that Detik.com tends to frame the victory of candidate pair 02 affirmatively, emphasizing electoral legitimacy and institutional support. In contrast, Kompas.com highlights democratic concerns, public criticism, and expectations regarding future governance. These framing differences reflect the editorial orientations and audience segmentation of each outlet. The study argues that post-election news coverage is not merely about reporting vote counts but also about constructing political legitimacy within the digital public sphere. This research contributes to media and political communication studies by demonstrating how online media framing shapes public opinion and reinforces or challenges political victory narratives in Indonesia’s digital democracy.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in driving economic growth; however, they still face various challenges such as low financing literacy, weak business management, and limited utilization of digital technology. This study aims to analyze the effect of financing literacy, business management, and digitalization on the ability of MSMEs to face market competition among MSME actors at Mall Nipah Makassar. This research uses a quantitative method with an associative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 50 MSME actors operating at Mall Nipah. Data analysis was conducted using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4. The results show that financing literacy (p=0.466) and digitalization (p=0.060) do not have a significant effect on the ability of MSMEs to face market competition, while business management (p=0.022) has a positive and significant effect. The R-square value of 0.378 indicates that 37.8% of the variation in market competition can be explained by the three variables. These findings indicate that effective business management is the most dominant factor in improving MSME competitiveness, while financing literacy and digitalization still need to be improved for optimal impact.

Abstract

This study is grounded in the growing importance of work readiness among final-year students in responding to increasingly complex and competitive labor market demands. Work readiness is not solely determined by technical competencies but is also shaped by non-technical abilities and individual psychological factors. Accordingly, this research aims to examine the influence of hard skills, soft skills, and self-efficacy on the work readiness of final-year students in the Management Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. The study draws upon Human Capital Theory, which emphasizes skill development as an essential investment in human resources, as well as the concept of self-efficacy, which relates to an individual's belief in their capacity to face challenges. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 79 respondents, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The findings indicate that, partially, hard skills have a positive but statistically insignificant effect on work readiness. In contrast, soft skills and self-efficacy demonstrate a positive and significant influence. Simultaneously, the three independent variables collectively contribute substantially to work readiness, as reflected by a coefficient of determination of 57.7%. In conclusion, the study reveals that students' work readiness is more strongly influenced by soft skills and self-efficacy than by hard skills. These findings suggest that strengthening interpersonal competencies and fostering confidence are critical components in preparing students for successful entry into the workforce.
