Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the application of Collaborative Governance in the development of the tourism sector in Jayapura City and Selayar Islands Regency. Both regions represent island characteristics with complex governance challenges, such as infrastructure limitations, diversity of actors, and environmental vulnerability. This study employs a library research approach using a descriptive-comparative method based on qualitative analysis. Data were obtained from various secondary sources, such as journal articles, policy documents, scientific proceedings, and official government websites. The analytical framework is based on the theory of Collaborative Governance, which is broken down into twelve indicators of collaborative governance. The results of the analysis show that Jayapura City excels in the involvement of indigenous communities, village deliberation mechanisms, and community-based leadership, despite facing challenges in cross-sector coordination and participatory evaluation. In contrast, Selayar Islands Regency excels in formal institutional aspects, regulatory strengthening, and the role of local actors such as Pokdarwis (tourism awareness group), but is still top-down in its collaboration process. This study concludes that the effectiveness of Collaborative Governance is determined by the suitability of the approach to the local social and institutional context. Strategic recommendations include strengthening collaborative forums, participatory evaluation, and integrating cultural values into tourism policy design.

Abstract

This systematic literature review explores the impact of interculturally-based metacognitive strategies in improving academic writing in higher education. The study examines the various components of these strategies, including declarative, procedural, and conditional knowledge, and their role in improving writing proficiency, especially for ESL and multilingual learners. Key strategies such as planning, monitoring, and evaluating were found to significantly influence students' writing outcomes by fostering metacognitive awareness and promoting critical thinking. Moreover, the integration of cultural awareness with metacognitive practices enriches students' ability to adapt their writing style to diverse academic contexts and audiences. This research highlights the role of immersive learning environments and learning strategies in strengthening these skills. Despite the benefits, challenges related to the gap between theory and practice and cultural nuances in strategy implementation remain. The review concludes by emphasizing the need for further research to address these challenges and optimize the integration of cross-culturally based metacognitive strategies in academic writing curricula.

Abstract

Motorcycle theft continues to rise in various regions, highlighting the need for more reliable security systems. Conventional protection methods, such as double locks or standard alarms, have proven to be vulnerable and insufficient. This research aims to design and implement a motorcycle security system based on WiFi MAC address authentication from the owner's smartphone. The system is built using the ESP8266 microcontroller, which scans nearby devices and matches their MAC addresses against a pre-registered list. If a match is found, the vehicle is allowed to start. In addition to authentication, the system is equipped with a vibration sensor to detect suspicious activity when the motorcycle is in an OFF state. Test results indicate that the system can effectively distinguish between authorized and unauthorized devices, and responds accurately and promptly under various test conditions

Abstract

Higher education serves as an advanced stage of education following completion of secondary education. Despite this, many adolescents in Central Kalimantan show limited interest in pursuing higher education at local campuses. Various factors influence this phenomenon, among which are the quality of university campus facilities and the perceived brand image of universities in Central Kalimantan. This study examines three variables: university campus facilities, university brand image, and interest in college. The study population comprises all students of Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya, totaling 308 individuals. Results indicate that interest in college is partially and simultaneously influenced by both university campus facilities and university brand image. Notably, university brand image demonstrates a stronger contribution compared to university campus facilities in shaping students' interest in pursuing higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the financial aspects of vaname shrimp farming (Litopenaeus Vannamei) with intensive methods at CV Megah Prima Agronusa. The research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive approach, using primary data from field observations and additional data from the literature. Indicators used for financial feasibility analysis include income, BEP (Break-even Point), R/C Ratio (Return on Investment Ratio), ROI (Cost Income Ratio), and PP (Payback Period). The findings of this study indicate that vaname shrimp farming with intensive system in CV Megah Prima Agronusa is financially feasible to do. This can be seen from the total income that reached Rp 1. 300. 947. 352, while the total revenue is Rp 5. 498. 214. 400 and total production costs reached Rp 4.197.267.048. The BEP value in Rupiah is Rp 1. 674. 066. 423, while the BEP in number of units was 23. 197 kg. The R/C Ratio obtained is 1. 30, which indicates that this business is feasible because it is greater than 1. The ROI obtained is 63%, which indicates that this business is appropriate because the standard ROI common in companies ranges from 15% to 25%. The resulting payback period is 1.58, meaning the time required to recoup the investment is 1 year, 5 months, and 8 days. This indicates the business is viable, as the standard payback period for real businesses, including agribusinesses, ranges from 3 to 5 years.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the polemic experienced by a number of conventional bank employees, who know and realize that bank interest is usury or who still believe that bank interest is not usury, because they are only employees who work in banking companies and do not practice usury individually. per individual. From the two attitudes of banking employees in responding to the bank interest usury mentioned above, the study will focus on employees who have the attitude that bank interest is usury, while those who have the opposite attitude are clearly not going to take action to resign from their office. After focusing on anti-anti rip banking employees, it was found that them there were several obstacles to resigning, the first obstacle was internal, namely the lack of support from the family, both the nuclear family and the extended family, while the second obstacle was the repayment of employee loans that they enjoyed before knowing. and realize that bank interest is charging interest or usury (riba). Of the two obstacles or resign constraints will lead to further attitudes for a number of these employees. The attitude of a number of employees who have not received family support, some continue to return to work in a professional manner and some work just to abort their obligations or in other words work not seriously because they are not in accordance with their conscience. While the attitudes of a number of employees who are still in debt are more varied in attitude, some of them continue to work as usual while waiting for the right moment to pay off their debts, some are still working even though half-heartedly while trying to find a way out so that their debts can be paid off. and some of them are unanimously determined to leave office immediately or borrow a term in the military world, namely by deserting or leaving work by temporarily leaving the debt unpaid, even though they plan to pay it off at a later date. This study used a qualitative research method, namely the collection of in-depth interview data with former employees and active banking employees. Researchers also conducted focus group discussions / FGDs (Forum Group Discussion) among bank employees who were anti-microbial but still active and former bank employees who had resigned. As a result, there are five attitudes of banking employees in facing the resignation polemic due to bank interest rates in Indonesia. First, employees return to work professionally because they still get salaries from banking companies. Second, employees work only to abort obligations because they are not in accordance with their conscience. Third, employees who are still in debt continue to work professionally while looking for a way to pay off their debts. Fourth, employees who work half-heartedly while looking for ways to pay off loans. Fifth, if their resignation application by leaving debt and willing to pay off in installments is refused by the office, they prefer to leave the company unilaterally or go out of business.
