Abstract

Global educational transformation demands a repositioning of evaluation systems in language learning to remain relevant to the competencies required in the 21st century. This study aims to analyze the paradigm shift from rigid traditional assessments toward more adaptive innovative assessments in the modern Arabic curriculum. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology through literature review and content analysis, this research examines various curriculum documents and recent literature related to language assessment. The findings show that innovative assessments, such as digital portfolios and authentic assessments, provide a more comprehensive picture of learners’ competencies compared to conventional standardized tests, which tend to measure only theoretical cognitive aspects. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of modern educational philosophical principles with the practical needs of Arabic language proficiency in the digital era. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of reorienting the role of educators and curriculum policies to adopt more performative evaluation instruments. Overall, this shift serves as a catalyst for enhancing the quality of Arabic language learning outcomes to be more competitive and professional.

Abstract

This article discusses how sentences are formed based on Generative-Transformational Theory and its application in Arabic language learning. The background of this article is rooted in the need to understand  sentence formation not only as a Surface Structure but also as a mental process involving deeper linguistic mechanisms. The objective of this article is to describe the main ideas of the theory, including innate language ability , deep and Surface Structures, and Transformational Rules, as well as to explain its relevance in Arabic language instruction. This article employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review and conceptual analysis, supported by examples of sentence transformation in Arabic. The discussion highlights that language is a creative system governed by internal competence, where sentences are generated through a process from thought to deep  structure, transformed into Surface Structure. The application in learning involves transformation exercises, structural analysis, and sentence variation practices. The findings indicate that this approach helps learners better understand sentence structure, produce sentences independently, and grasp the process of sentence formation more effectively. The implication of this article is that Arabic language teaching should emphasize understanding and cognitive processes rather than rote memorization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis konsep integrasi ilmu, amal, dan adab dalam pemikiran Syaikh Ihsan Muhammad Dahlan al-Jampesi yang tertuang dalam Kitab Siraj at-Tholibin, sebuah syarah atas Minhajul Abidin karya Imam Al-Ghazali. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research dan content analysis, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Syaikh Ihsan membangun epistemologi pendidikan Islam berbasis trilogi yang saling berkelindan: ilmu sebagai petunjuk arah, amal sebagai manifestasi substansial, dan adab sebagai nilai estetika spiritual. Ketiga elemen ini tidak berdiri sendiri, melainkan membentuk siklus transformatif yang menjadi pondasi kurikulum karakter pesantren. Relevansi pemikiran ini dalam konteks pendidikan modern dianalisis melalui korelasinya dengan Kurikulum Merdeka dan penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa warisan intelektual ulama Nusantara dari Pesantren Jampes, Kediri ini menawarkan solusi terhadap krisis moral yang dialami generasi pelajar masa kini. This study aims to analyze the concept of integration of knowledge (ilmu), practice (amal), and ethics (adab) in the thought of Syaikh Ihsan Muhammad Dahlan al-Jampesi as reflected in his work Siraj at-Tholibin, a commentary on Imam Al-Ghazali's Minhajul Abidin. Using a qualitative approach with library research and content analysis methods, this study finds that Syaikh Ihsan constructs an Islamic educational epistemology based on an intertwined trilogy: knowledge as a directional guide, practice as substantive manifestation, and ethics as spiritual aesthetics. These three elements do not stand independently but form a transformative cycle that becomes the foundation of pesantren character curriculum. The relevance of this thought in the context of modern education is analyzed through its correlation with the Merdeka Curriculum and the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile. The findings demonstrate that this intellectual legacy from the Jampes Pesantren of Kediri offers a solution to the moral crisis experienced by today's student generation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi integrasi nilai-nilai spiritualitas Islam sebagai strategi preventif terhadap peningkatan fenomena gangguan kesehatan mental di kalangan siswa, seperti depresi dan kecemasan, yang meningkat signifikan pasca-pandemi. Tujuan utama kajian ini adalah merumuskan model pendidikan spiritual yang holistik melalui sintesis riset kepustakaan (library research). Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis data melalui studi dokumentasi terhadap sumber primer seperti Al-Qur’an, Hadis, dan karya klasik ulama (Imam Al-Ghazali dan Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah), serta sumber sekunder berupa jurnal ilmiah dan laporan kesehatan mental global (WHO). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa konsep tazkiyatun nafs (pemurnian jiwa) dan penguatan tauhid berfungsi sebagai benteng psikologis yang efektif dalam meningkatkan ketahanan (resilience) siswa. Praktik spiritual seperti dzikir dan shalat secara empiris berkorelasi dengan aktivitas korteks prefrontal dan penurunan hormon kortisol sebesar 25%. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan spiritual Islam menawarkan solusi endogen yang berkelanjutan untuk membentuk qalb salim (hati yang sehat) pada siswa, melampaui pendekatan koping kognitif sekuler dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital. Model ini berpotensi menjadi rekomendasi dalam pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan karakter yang menyentuh dimensi jasad, jiwa, dan ruh secara seimbang. The integration of Islamic spiritual principles as a preventive measure against the growth in mental health problems among students, such as anxiety and depression, which have dramatically grown in the post-pandemic period, is the subject of this study. This study's main goal is to synthesize library research in order to create a comprehensive model of spiritual education. The methodology used is a qualitative approach with data analysis through a documentary study of secondary sources like scientific journals and global mental health reports (WHO) and primary sources like the Qur'an, Hadith, and classical works by Islamic scholars (Imam Al-Ghazali and Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah). The results show that the ideas of tawhid strengthening and tazkiyatun nafs (purification of the soul) are useful psychological defenses in building students' resilience. There is empirical evidence linking spiritual acts like prayer and dhikr to a 25% decrease in cortisol levels and prefrontal cortex activity. This study suggests that Islamic spiritual education outperforms secular cognitive coping strategies in tackling the problems of the digital era by providing a lasting endogenous solution for cultivating a "qalb salim" (healthy heart) in students. The creation of a character education program that balances the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects could be guided by this paradigm.
