Abstract

This study aims to develop news-text teaching materials assisted by QuillBot as a learning medium for Indonesian Language instruction in Grade XI, focusing on improving students’ understanding of news-text structure and their writing skills. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, questionnaires, and student comprehension tests. The findings indicate that most students had a sufficient understanding of news texts prior to the use of QuillBot; however, they still experienced difficulties in organizing their ideas systematically and avoiding writing errors. Through the use of QuillBot, students were able to paraphrase news texts, refine grammar, and improve linguistic accuracy and fluency. Expert validations revealed that the developed teaching material was deemed “feasible without revision” by the material expert and “suitable for use without revision” by the media expert. Effectiveness testing also showed improvement in student learning outcomes, reflected in increased average scores, higher mastery levels, and positive student responses toward the integration of QuillBot in the learning process. This study concludes that QuillBot provides an engaging and interactive learning experience, enhances student motivation in studying news texts, and supports the integration of AI-based technology in the classroom. Therefore, QuillBot can serve as an effective and innovative AI-assisted learning medium that strengthens students’ digital literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability between learning outcomes and news text teaching materials contained in the Indonesian language textbook for grade XI students used at SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines the material structure, news text examples, and learning activities contained in the textbook, then compares them with the learning outcomes set in the Independent Curriculum. The results show that most of the teaching materials are aligned with competency requirements, particularly in understanding the structure and linguistic elements of news texts. The textbook provides relevant news text examples and learning activities that support students' understanding of news texts. However, some sections, such as in-depth analysis activities and text production exercises, still do not fully meet the standards expected in the Independent Curriculum. This indicates room for improvement in developing more comprehensive teaching materials. Therefore, enrichment of teaching materials is needed to optimize student competency achievement, as well as providing more applicable exercises to improve students' abilities in analyzing and producing news texts. Developing more in-depth teaching materials will improve the quality of learning and student competency achievement.

Abstract

Feodalisme pesantren merupakan istilah yang menggambarkan kritik terhadap hubungan hierarki antara kiai dan santri di pesantren. Dimana praktik pengabdian dan ketaatan santri terhadap kiai disalah artikan sebagai system feodal. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengkaji bagaimana media massa membingkai isu feodalisme dalam pesantren melalui pendekatan analisis framing, serta melihat bagaimana perspektif dakwah dapat menjadi alat kritis dalam menilai konstruksi pemberitaan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif interpretatif.  Sumber data berasal dari dua berita yang diunggah oleh Media Online Kumparan pada tanggal 23 April 2025 dan tanggal 27 Mei 2025. Kemudian kedua berita tersebut akan peneliti analisis menggunakan Teknik analisis framing model Robert and Entman.    isu feodalisme pesantren yang dilakukan oleh media kumparan menunjukkan bahwa secara dakwah media kumparan telah melakukan aktivitas dakwah bil-qolam (tulisan) yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai sakwah islam, yakni hikmah (kebijaksanaan), mau‘izhah hasanah (nasihat yang baik), dan taujih (bimbingan moral). Dibalik panasnya isu tentang feodalisme pesantren, media kumparan hadir dengan narasi pembingkaian yang proporsional, memberikan pengertian tentang dunia pesantren secara teoritis dan praktis, agar masyarakat memahami bahwa sistem pesantren adalah bentuk khas pendidikan Islam Nusantara yang tak bisa disamakan begitu saja dengan model Barat.

Abstract

This study aims to develop innovative teaching materials on main ideas and supporting details assisted by Copilot AI for twelfth-grade students at SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan as an effort to improve students’ reading literacy skills in the digital era. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) model using the ADDIE approach, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and expert validation. The validation results from material and media experts showed a feasibility percentage of 93% categorized as very valid, while the trial conducted on 30 students yielded a practicality score of 85%, indicating that the Copilot-AI-assisted teaching materials effectively supported students in understanding main ideas and supporting details. The findings of this study confirm that the use of Copilot AI enhances conceptual understanding, facilitates more interactive learning, and serves as a relevant and adaptive alternative learning medium in Bahasa Indonesia instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar Bahasa Indonesia berbasis website interaktif pada materi teks prosedur di kelas VII SMP 5 Percut Sei Tuan. Masalah utama yang ditemukan di lapangan adalah rendahnya pemahaman dan motivasi siswa terhadap materi teks prosedur, terutama pada topik “Makanan Bergizi”. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner terhadap 30 siswa, sebagian besar menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran dengan media konvensional masih kurang menarik, sementara penggunaan teknologi membuat proses belajar lebih menyenangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model Sugiyono yang mencakup tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pembuatan, evaluasi, dan revisi produk. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis website interaktif membantu siswa memahami langkah-langkah teks prosedur secara lebih mudah, meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar, dan menumbuhkan minat terhadap pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Melalui media interaktif ini, pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan sesuai dengan semangat Merdeka Belajar yang menekankan kebebasan, kreativitas, dan kemandirian siswa. Hasil validasi menunjukkan produk layak digunakan dan efektif meningkatkan pemahaman serta motivasi siswa.

Abstract

This studyaims to create YouTube video-based learning materials for teachinganecdotal texts to students at SMK Swasta 1 Parulian Medan. The approach usedis Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includesthe stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the mini research show that traditional learning methods are not entirely effectivein improving student understanding. Learning materials designed through the integration ofYouTube videos have been proven to be effective in increasing student motivation and understanding ofanecdotal texts. Product evaluation shows the suitability of the media and its efficiency inimproving learning outcomes. The results of this study emphasize the importance of utilizingdigital media in teaching Indonesian language in vocational schools.

Abstract

Introduction: Unintended pregnancy remains a major global and national concern, with 64 unintended pregnancies per 1,000 women worldwide and 15.5% of pregnancies in Indonesia reported as unwanted; the Indonesian government addresses this issue through the Family Planning program, where contraceptive use has reached 62.38% nationally. Even while long-term methods like IUDs and implants are very effective, their use is still inconsistent, whereas short-term like injectable contraception is most often used. Objective: this study aimed to exploring contraceptive use among reproductive woman at rural area. Method: A cross-sectional study using consecutive sampling involved 69 women of reproductive age completing structured questionnaires on contraceptive use, analyzed using descriptive statistics. Result and Discussion: Most respondent in 40-49 group age (42%), have secondary education level (57%), have no working (77%), and Married woman (91%). Most participants (54.4%) not used contraception although 74% ever used contraception, with the hormone injection were the preferred contraceptive methods. Conclusions: This study show a sociodemographic characteristic that can be analyzed in the future study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the learning environment on self-regulated learning (SRL) and academic achievement of students at Ma’had Aly Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo academic year. Using a quantitative approach with a causal associative design, the study involved 163 students. Instruments used include the Indonesian version of the DREEM Short Form to measure the learning environment, the SRL-SRS (Toering et al., 2012) to assess self-regulated learning, and academic grades as indicators of learning outcomes. Data analysis was performed using the Generalized Additive Models (GAM) due to the non-normal distribution of the dataset. The results of the study showed that the learning environment significantly influenced SRL (F = 55.27; p < 2e-16; adjusted R² = 0.251) with a positive relationship. However, the learning environment did not significantly influence learning outcomes (F = 1.95; p = 0.123; adjusted R² = 0.0354). Other findings showed that SRL significantly influenced learning outcomes (F = 10.15; p < 2e-16; adjusted R² = 0.314). These findings indicate that the learning environment plays an important role in improving SRL among students, and high SRL is associated with better learning outcomes. The study's conclusions confirm that the learning environment plays a dominant role in shaping student independence in learning, which in turn supports their academic achievement. In the context of Islamic boarding schools, strengthening a holistic learning environment is a strategic step in developing independent, critical, and integrated learners

Abstract

Breech presentation pregnancies often cause physical discomfort and anxiety, which can impact maternal well-being. The knee-chest intervention is a non-pharmacological intervention that, physiologically, has the potential to improve maternal comfort, but scientific evidence remains very limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the knee-chest position on the comfort of pregnant women with breech presentation, providing evidence that can inform clinical practice and improve patient care. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a control group, involving nineteen third-trimester pregnant women with breech presentation divided into an intervention group (n=10) and a control group (n=9). The intervention group received routine knee-chest exercises, while the control group received standard antenatal care. Comfort levels were measured using the General Comfort Questionnaire (GCQ) before and after the intervention. Data analysis was both descriptive and inferential, comparing changes in comfort scores across groups to ensure reliable results for healthcare professionals and researchers. The intervention group showed a significant increase in the total GCQ comfort score after the knee-chest intervention, encompassing physical, psychospiritual, and environmental aspects, compared with the control group. Clarifying how these improvements translate to maternal well-being can help readers assess practical benefits

Tulisan ini mengkaji pemikiran gender Dr. Nur Rofi’ah, seorang cendekiawan muslimah Indonesia yang konsisten memperjuangkan keadilan gender melalui perspektif Islam yang rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Fokus pembahasan diarahkan pada gagasannya tentang pendidikan keluarga berbasis kesetaraan gender. Dengan menggunakan metode kajian pustaka, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana pemikiran Dr. Nur Rofi’ah membongkar tafsir bias gender dan membentuk paradigma baru dalam mendidik keluarga yang adil dan manusiawi, serta Mengidentifikasi strategi pendidikan keluarga berbasis gender yang dapat diterapkan berdasarkan pemikiran Dr. Nur Rofi'ah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif serta berjenis studi tokoh. Data-data dikumpulkan dengan teknik analisis data kepustakaan, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang pemikiran dipengaruhi oleh pendidikan , lingkungan dan juga pengalaman yang dialami Nur Rofiah. wacana Kesetaraan gender dalam Al Qur'an menurut Nur Rofiah adalah pemahaman kontekstual ayat dengan menggunakan prespektif keadilan hakiki perempuan. Gagasan Nur Rofiah memperkuat gagasan yang telah ada sebelumnya dan membawa sebuah gagasan baru berupa prespektif keadilan hakiki perempuan. Keadilan hakiki perempuan ini merupakan cara pandang dalam menafsirkan al-Qur’an yang mempertimbangkan secara intens pengalaman khas perempuan baik pengalaman biologis maupun sosial. Dan perspektifnya ini ia terapkan dalam menafsirkan ayat-ayat berkaitan dengan perempuan, dalam penafsiran alqur-an NR memberi perhatian pada perempuan bahwa perempuan memiliki hak yang sama seperti laki-laki, namun hal ini bisa dibiasakan atau ditanamkan dalam kelaurga semenjak anak-anak masih usia dini, misalnya orang tua mengajari anak perempuan dan anak laki-laki untuk melakukan tanggung jawab yang sama tanpa adanya diskriminasi gender. Contohnya anak laki-laki pun bisa mencuci, memasak dan mengasuh adiknya. Tanpa disadari bahwa anak-anak sering menyerap ketimpangan tanpa sadar seperti anggapan bahwa “ perempuan harus patuh, laki-laki harus memimpin” jadi pendidikan keluarga harus menjadi ruang dekontruksi nilai patriarki dan tempat menanamkan nilai keadilan, saling menghormati serta penghargaan terhadap martabat perempuan.
