Abstract

This research chose the high school level because it is the last level before entering higher education (PT), which is different from the vocational school level where apart from going to PT you can also directly enter the world of work or industry. The city of Kupang was chosen because it is still a barometer of education in NTT Province. This research used a qualitative approach with 81 informants. Primary and secondary data were obtained through interviews, observation and literature review. Data were analyzed using techniques from Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014) which included data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The research results show that the character of the actors implementing the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) in secondary education services at high schools in Kupang City, whether performing well or poorly, was analyzed using the grid model from Bryson (2004). Findings show that: High Interest – Low Power (Subjects): Teachers involved in the school education quality assurance team (TPMPS) at SMAN 2 Kupang and SMAN 6 Kupang do not understand their role in the team. High Interest – High Power (Players): Supervisors from the provincial education office and school principals as managers in educational units do not know the SPMI team, but know the school development team (TPS) at SMAN 2 and the curriculum development team (TPK) at SMAN 6 Kupang. Low Interest – High Power (Context Setters): Committees and administration understand their role as directors and administrative staff but do not know the TPK team.

Abstract

Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) is an eating problem in children, causing nutritional deficiency, obstructing growth, and development. This study investigates the correlation between demographic characteristics and parenting alliance to nutritional status in children with ARFID in Malang Regency. This analytic observational study used a cross-sectional approach from December 2018 to March 2019. There were 245 respondents with multistage sampling. Parenting alliance was quantified using questionnaires, and the children's nutritional status was quantified using anthropometry, categorized based on Z-score weight-for-age. Data analysis used Pearson correlation coefficients and Multiple linear regression with α=0.05. The result showed no correlation between parenting alliance and children's nutritional status (p>0.05). The multiple linear regression analysis demonstrated that children's nutritional status was influenced by a child's age (β = -0.156, p=0.020) and the number of children in a family (β = -0.263, p=0.029). In conclusion, parenting alliance is not directly related to children's nutritional status in children with ARFID. Nevertheless, the child's age and the number of children in a family affect their nutritional status.

Abstract

General Background: In the digital era, moral degradation among young learners poses a critical challenge, necessitating effective character education strategies rooted in national and religious values. Specific Background: The Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) and Profil Pelajar Rahmatan Lil Alamin (PPRA) have been implemented separately in Indonesian schools to foster holistic student development. However, in madrasah contexts, the integration of both frameworks remains limited. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies examined P5 or PPRA individually, with scarce evidence on their combined impact in shaping students’ character, especially in areas with strong local cultural values such as Bulukumba. Aims: This study investigates the influence of the integrated P5 and PPRA (P5P2RA) projects on the character formation of Grade IV students in KKMI Region I, Bulukumba Regency. Results: Using a quantitative correlational design with 165 respondents, data analysis revealed a positive and significant effect (β=0.454, p<0.05), with the model explaining 57.7% of character development variance. Novelty: This is among the first empirical studies integrating P5 and PPRA into a unified, contextually adapted framework for Islamic primary education. Implications: Findings highlight the strategic role of integrated character education projects in strengthening students’ moral, social, and civic values, suggesting their scalability to other madrasah settings to foster a generation that is religiously grounded, socially responsible, and globally competent. Highlights: Integration of P5 and PPRA in one framework. Significant positive effect on character formation. Applicable model for Islamic primary schools. Keywords: Character Education, Pancasila Student Profile, Rahmatan Lil Alamin, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Educational Integration

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the level of work discipline of civil servants at the UPTD Health Laboratory of East Nusa Tenggara Province. In analyzing the problem the author relates to the theory according to Muchdarsyah Sinungan 2003, because it focuses on indicators, namely, attendance, attitude and behavior and responsibility. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The results of this study indicate that the level of employee discipline is still quite low, seen from employee attendance and timeliness. This study concludes that it is important to take more effective steps in increasing employee awareness and responsibility related to discipline, especially in terms of attendance and punctuality.

Abstract

Animal quarantine policies are an essential instrument in preventing the spread of animal diseases, safeguarding animal health before distribution, and ensuring food safety and ecosystem security. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of such policies at the Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Center in East Nusa Tenggara. Using a qualitative approach, this research employs a triangulation method that includes observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain in-depth data on the effectiveness of the policy and the challenges encountered in its implementation. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of animal quarantine policies at the Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Center in East Nusa Tenggara has not been optimal, despite the relevant regulations being in place. One of the main obstacles identified is the lack of effective socialization and communication to the public, especially to quarantine service users, resulting in a low level of understanding regarding the applicable quarantine procedures. This suggests that, while regulations exist, their effectiveness is heavily dependent on public understanding and active participation. Furthermore, limited access to clear and comprehensive information regarding quarantine procedures, as well as a lack of training for involved personnel, also serve as barriers to optimizing the policy's implementation. To enhance the effectiveness of animal quarantine policies, a comprehensive strategy is needed, which includes several key actions, one of which is strengthening socialization through direct engagement with the public, particularly quarantine service users. This aims to improve and deepen their understanding of quarantine procedures, ensuring more effective policy implementation. Additionally, these measures are expected to not only enhance service quality but also improve operational efficiency and monitoring accuracy. Thus, animal quarantine policies are expected to have a broader impact, not only on animal health but also on food safety and the overall well-being of society, which in turn will strengthen animal disease control systems and maintain ecosystem balance.

Abstract

Nurses need proper self-management to deal with emotions caused by burnout. One of the meditations that nurses can do is focus attention or mindfulness. Mindfulness is a form of self-regulation strategy that involves focusing attention, responding to thoughts, sensations, and emotions with an attitude of acceptance, without judgment, and being aware of current situations and events. This study aimed to examine a mindfulness intervention that can reduce burnout in intensive care nurses. Design study: a systematic review. The sample used was intensive care nurses, and the variables are mindfulness intervention and burnout. Mindfulness-based interventions (yoga or meditation, music therapy, cognitive relaxation, breathing relaxation, and stress management). We searched using four databases published through February 2024. A total of 15 RCT and quasi-experimental studies were included in the final analysis. Mindfulness-based interventions (yoga or meditation, music therapy, cognitive relaxation, breathing relaxation, and stress management). Effective mindfulness programs are generally carried out for 12-8 weeks with weekly meetings for 2 hours and intensive training between meetings. Overall, the modalities appeared to alleviate and reduce burnout (p<0.001). Mindfulness-based interventions appear to alleviate and can reduce burnout in intensive care nurses. Future studies look at mindfulness-based interventions among nurses using more rigorous approaches and larger samples.
