Abstract

Literature reviews on the implementation of environmental-based learning models at the elementary education level are still very limited. This study uses a systematic literature review method on the implementation of environmental-based learning models at the elementary education level. The research data was taken from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases, which are the main sources of information. The data was processed using the PRISMA method. In data collection, there are several keywords used such as "environment learning", "model of learning environment", "environment-based learning models", "nature-based learning model", "environmental-based learning model", and "model of environment education". Data were analyzed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines with data identification, screening, and determination steps. The results of this study indicate that the application of environmental-based learning models has been widely studied and implemented in various contexts and different subjects in various countries. Of the 16 articles identified, 81.25% were written in English and there was an increase in research between 2021 and 2023. This study shows that the use of environmental-based learning models is often used in science. In addition, qualitative research dominates in this study, while elementary school students are the subjects who often study it. Indonesia is the country with the largest number of studies. The findings of this study have implications for the classroom learning process so that teachers can apply the model with evidence of increased student competence at the elementary education level.

Kata Kunci: Lesson Study, Kompetensi, Pendidikan Seni AbstractSDIT be an alternative educational institutions that have obtained education in general and Islamic religion. Teachers in primary schools, including SDIT required to skillfully all basic school subjects, including subjects of Arts and Skills (SBK). In fact teachers in many SDIT not come from the graduates of PGSD, so feel the difficulty of managing learning of SBK. Finally, Teachers handed-over responsibility to the subject teachers. The situation is also experienced by SDIT Al-Madinah, one SDIT who already has a good name in Kabupaten Kebumen. The purpose of this study to focus on: (1) the theoretical capability of art education; (2) the ability of the art lesson planning; (3) the ability of the art learning implementation and evaluation. The results of this dedication program, namely: (1) as much as 67.5% of teachers have gained knowledge of art education; (2) strengthening the competency to plan learning experience, especially the skill of creating indicators of achievement of competencies, learning objectives, subject matter, learning and assessment activities; (3) strengthening the competence of implementing the learning experience, especially the introductory activities, demonstrations and coaching. Keywords: Lesson Study, Competence, Arts Education

Abstract

Outdoor learning, as a form of science pedagogical knowledge, plays a vital role in equipping elementary learners with 21st-century competencies. This qualitative case study explores how outdoor learning at SD Alam Ungaran, a nature-based Islamic elementary school in Indonesia, can foster the development of critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration (4C) skills grounded in a STEAM-integrated thematic curriculum. This study collected data through document analysis, semi-structured interviews, and direct classroom observations. Data was analyzed by emphasizing coding, condensation, and thematic interpretation via NVivo 12 Pro. Findings revealed that outdoor learning significantly enhances 4C skills through experiential and project-based activities embedded in real-world environmental contexts. Students’ critical thinking skill is nurtured through inquiry and direct observation, while the creativity is stimulated through innovative ecological projects. Students developed their communication skills via interactive group discussions and presentations, and reinforced their collaboration skills through cooperative tasks such as market day and eco-projects. Moreover, students enriched their pedagogical science knowledge through the integration of STEAM concepts in authentic field activities. The SD Alam Ungaran integrated STEAM concepts and environmental ethics uniquely further to support the development of students’ holistic moral, emotional, and social skills. The implications of these results can be a best practice for schools to create an integrative curriculum that supports the development of 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Fractions are one of the materials that are quite difficult to understand. Efforts made to overcome this problem through the development of learning resources in the form of E-Module Math O_Pedia. This study aims to develop E-Module Math O_Pedia as a digital learning innovation for understanding fractional numbers in elementary school students. The research method uses Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The product trial design consists of an initial trial stage. The data collection instruments used were interviews, observations, questionnaires, a feasibility scale by material experts, a feasibility scale by media experts, and a feasibility scale by language experts, as well as a student response scale. The research subjects were 20 3rd grade elementary school students. Data analysis used the Miles & Huberman technique. The research findings showed that the material aspect was in the very good category with a score of 92; the media aspect was in the very good category with a score of 92, and the language aspect was in the very good category with a score of 96; while the feasibility of the e-module on the user response factor showed that the product was classified as a very feasible category. The results of the study concluded that the E-Module Math O_Pedia was very good and quite effective in improving students' understanding of fractional number material.

Abstract

Purpose – The cognitive learning outcomes of pupils are essential for assessing student progress and the quality of the implemented learning procedure. Nevertheless, the cognitive learning outcomes of students have not met expectations. This study aimed to assess the cognitive learning outcomes level of fourth-grade elementary pupils and the effect of the SAVI model on enhancing these cognitive learning outcomes.Methodology – The study method was quantitative, utilizing a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design. The study's sample comprised 56 fourth-grade elementary school students. The selected data gathering method was a test. The assessment is structured as multiple-choice questions. This study utilized parametric statistical analysis to test hypotheses through the t-test. This study's research approach commences with planning, which includes identifying research subjects, conducting a literature review, acquiring research permits, and creating research instruments. In the implementation phase, the researcher delineates the experimental and control groups. Furthermore, after conducting several experiments, the researcher administered a post-test to the experimental and control groups. Following data collection, the researcher analyzed the defined problem and the established research objectives.Findings – This investigation indicated that most cognitive learning outcomes of pupils instructed through the SAVI learning model fell within the good category, and there was a significant disparity in cognitive learning outcomes between pupils instructed using the SAVI model and those receiving conventional instruction.Contribution – This study's results enhance students' cognitive learning outcomes.
