Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed to improve and enhance the learning process and outcomes of students in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subject, specifically on the topic of the Prophet's Da'wah Strategy in Mecca, through the implementation of the Everyone Is A Teacher Here learning strategy. This strategy was essential for fostering students' courage, activity, and learning responsibility. The study employed a quantitative approach with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 17 students of class VIII-A at SMP Muhammadiyah 56 Binjai Timur. Data collection techniques included observation to measure activity, learning outcome tests, and interviews. The analysis results indicated a significant increase in learning outcomes after the implementation of the Everyone Is A Teacher Here strategy. Before the intervention, the students' average scores were below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). Based on the analysis of activity data, there was a drastic increase in student activity from pre-cycle 68 to 82 in Cycle I, and reaching 87 in Cycle II. Quantitatively, the average learning outcome score in Cycle I was 5.6 with a classical completeness percentage of 28% , and in Cycle II, the average score increased rapidly to 7.9 with a classical completeness percentage reaching 82%. Qualitatively, in Cycle II, students' questions began to develop and demonstrated articulated ideas, and students' interest and motivation to learn increased. Therefore, it was concluded that the Everyone Is A Teacher Here strategy was effective in improving SKI learning outcomes, and classical completeness reached the target set in Cycle II.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural nation characterized by high diversity in ethnicity, culture, religion, and social backgrounds. This diversity necessitates an educational approach, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (IRE), that extends beyond cognitive religious instruction to the cultivation of tolerant, inclusive, and moderate attitudes. This article examines the concepts, implementation, and challenges of internalizing multicultural values within the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative library research approach, data were collected from academic books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and relevant educational policy documents, and analyzed through content analysis. The findings reveal that multicultural values in IRE are firmly grounded in Islamic teachings, including tolerance (tasamuh), justice (al-‘adl), equality (musawah), and human brotherhood (ukhuwah insaniyyah). These values can be integrated into learning objectives, instructional materials, teaching methods, and assessment practices. However, the internalization of multicultural values in schools faces several challenges, such as curriculum limitations, teachers’ capacity and resistance, students’ social dynamics, and the influence of identity politics and the broader social environment. Therefore, systematic and sustainable efforts are required to strengthen the integration of multicultural values in the IRE curriculum to promote religious moderation and preserve national unity.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of financial technology (Fintech) adoption on the operational efficiency of commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2023. Employing a quantitative causal-associative method and panel data regression analysis, the research explores how Fintech-driven digital transactions influence banks’ cost structures and efficiency ratios. Data were drawn from annual financial statements and digital transaction reports of four major banks: PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia, PT Bank Negara Indonesia, PT Bank Mandiri, and PT Bank Central Asia. The results reveal that Fintech adoption has a significant and negative effect on both Operating Cost to Operating Income (OCOI) and Cost-to-Income Ratio (CIR), indicating that increased digital transaction activity leads to lower operational costs and improved efficiency. These findings demonstrate that Fintech plays a pivotal role in enhancing banking performance by reducing transaction expenses, optimizing resource allocation, and promoting service accessibility. The study contributes to academic discourse and provides strategic insights for banking practitioners and regulators to strengthen digital transformation policies and foster inclusive Fintech adoption in Indonesia’s financial ecosystem.

Abstract

The food and beverage sector is a strategic sector that has a significant contribution to driving Indonesia's economic growth. However, in the 2019–2024 period, this sector experienced pressure due to high food inflation, rising raw material costs, and weakening public purchasing power which affected stock return fluctuations. (2) This condition is the background to this study which aims to examine the effect of Earning Per Share (EPS), Return on Equity (ROE), and Net Profit Margin (NPM) on stock returns in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). (3) This study uses a quantitative approach with a panel data regression analysis method processed using EViews 12 software, with a total sample of 18 companies during the 2019–2024 period. (4) The results of the analysis show that both partially and simultaneously, the EPS, ROE, and NPM variables do not have a significant effect on stock returns. This indicates that profitability performance has not been able to provide a positive signal for investors in assessing the potential for stock returns. (5) Thus, the results of this study do not support Signaling Theory and provide an indication that stock return movements in the food and beverage sub-sector are more influenced by external factors such as food inflation and macroeconomic conditions compared to the company's internal financial performance.

Abstract

The property and real estate sector is one of the important sectors that contribute to the Indonesian economy, but in the 2021–2024 period, this sector experienced a decline in company value as reflected in market performance. This problem prompted this study, which aims to analyze the effect of capital structure on company value and examine the role of profitability as a mediating variable in property and real estate sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method and the sample was determined through a purposive sampling technique on companies that meet the research criteria. The results of the study indicate that capital structure has a significant negative effect on company value and profitability, while profitability has a significant positive effect on company value and is proven to mediate the effect of capital structure on company value; this finding supports the Trade-off Theory regarding the importance of balance in the use of debt, but also shows limitations in the application of Signaling Theory in the property sector. This study concludes that excessive use of debt can reduce profitability and company value, so companies need to establish an optimal capital structure to maintain financial performance and increase investor confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style on employee performance at PT. Suracojaya Abadimotor, Daya Bumi Tamalanrea Permai (BTP) Branch, Makassar City. The problem of this study began with the fluctuation of employee performance, which indicated less than optimal implementation of leadership style in the company environment. The method of research employed is a quantitative approach, utilizing a descriptive type of research. The population in this study amounted to 30 employees, and all of them were sampled through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and analyzed using simple linear regression with the help of partial tests (t-tests). The findings indicated that the leadership style positively and significantly influenced employee performance, with a significance value of 0.001 (less than 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.330 indicates that leadership style contributed 33% to improving employee performance, while the remaining 67% was influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings indicate that the leader's ability to communicate, provide direction, and build harmonious working relationships is are dominant factor that can enhance employee productivity. Thus, the better the implementation of the leadership style, the better the employee performance.
