Abstract

This study aims to implement the Ward Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (Ward AHC) algorithm to classify materials based on mechanical parameters, including tensile strength (Su), yield strength (Sy), elastic modulus (E), shear modulus (G), Poisson's ratio (?), and density (?). The clustering results reveal that the data is divided into three main groups with the following distributions: Cluster 1 (321 data points), Cluster 2 (403 data points), and Cluster 3 (828 data points). Each cluster exhibits unique characteristics: Cluster 1 is dominated by materials with low Su and Sy values, moderate E and G values, and light ?. Cluster 2 features materials with very high E values, while Su, Sy, and G values vary. Cluster 3 is characterized by moderate Su values, low Sy values, high E and G values, and light ?. An evaluation using the Silhouette Score yielded a value of 0.492, indicating that the clustering quality is reasonably good, though there is evidence that some data points may lie near the boundaries between clusters.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of workplace facilities on employee job satisfaction at the Makassar Metropolitan Police Office (Polrestabes Makassar), with a particular focus on the Traffic Unit. A quantitative research design employing a descriptive-associative approach was utilized. The study population comprised 107 employees of the Traffic Unit, from which 85 respondents were selected through random sampling techniques. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 27. The findings reveal that workplace facilities exert a positive and statistically significant influence on employee job satisfaction. This relationship is evidenced by the adequacy of office infrastructure, operational equipment, information technology support, and welfare-related amenities. Nevertheless, certain aspects such as internet accessibility and the comfort of rest areas require further improvement. The study provides valuable insights for Polrestabes Makassar in formulating policies aimed at enhancing workplace facilities and offers a useful reference for future research on job satisfaction within government institutions.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh beban kerja dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai. Dengan mengunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan secara keseluruhan diperoleh hasil uji hipotesis penelitian variabel beban kerja secara parsial berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel kepuasan kerja pegawai pada Kantor Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Tolitoli. Ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji t yang mana menunjukkan nilai yang sig.0.008 < 0.005 dan nilai t hitung 3.067 > nilai t tabel 2.026. Uji hipotesis variabel lingkungan kerja secara parsial berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel kepuasan kerja pegawai pada Kantor Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Tolitoli. Ini dibuktikan dengan dengan hasil uji t yang mana menunjukkan nilai yang sig.0.002 < 0.005 dan nilai t hitung 3.320 > 0.026. Dan hasil uji hipotesis beban kerja dan lingkungan kerja secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel kepuasan kerja pegawai pada Kantor Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Tolitoli. Ini di buktikan dengan hasil uji f yang mana menunjukkan nilai sig.0.000< 0.05 dan nilai f hitung 7.137 > nilai f tabel 3.32.

Abstract

Social media marketing (SMM) has emerged as a crucial strategy for manufacturing businesses to enhance customer loyalty in the era of digitalization and heightened competition. This study explores the role of SMM in fostering strong customer relationships and its impact on customer loyalty in the manufacturing sector. A comprehensive literature review reveals that effective SMM activities, characterized by support, openness, empathy, and positive attitudes, significantly contribute to building brand trust and customer loyalty. User-generated content and emotional connections developed through brand social network websites also play a vital role in enhancing consumer-community identification and repurchase intentions. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of effective communication, including friendly demeanor and nonverbal cues, in increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. However, research gaps remain in understanding the direct impact of key elements of SMM on customer loyalty in the manufacturing industry. The study emphasizes the need for quantitative analysis and measurement techniques to provide deeper insights into this relationship. Additionally, the integration of emotional intelligence and artificial intelligence in public relations has shown promising results in enhancing customer loyalty in the manufacturing sector. The findings underscore the significance of investing in effective SMM strategies to build strong customer relationships, drive satisfaction, and foster loyalty in the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates how micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Makassar develop digital human capital—a composite of technical skills, cognitive orientations, and socio-digital practices that enable entrepreneurs to adapt, innovate, and compete in the digital economy. Using semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis with 14 MSME owners across food, fashion, craft, and service sectors, the research applies an interpretive framework to uncover the social processes underlying digital capability formation. The findings reveal four interlocking themes: (1) layered digital competencies, characterized by progressive mastery through trial and error; (2) growth mindsets and pragmatic optimism, fostering resilience amid technological disruption; (3) learning ecosystems and social scaffolding, where peer groups, local incubators, and online communities co-create knowledge; and (4) digital human capital as relational competitive leverage, where digital trust and responsiveness strengthen market relationships. The study concludes that digital transformation in MSMEs is not merely technological but deeply social and moral, requiring policies that prioritize continuous learning, inclusive access, and ecosystem responsibility. By framing competitiveness as a relational and sustainable outcome, the research contributes to human-centered digital economy theory and offers actionable insights for policymakers, educators, and entrepreneurs in developing urban contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengalaman wirausahawan wanita muda dalam mengelola tim kerja pada sektor fesyen lokal Makassar, sebuah ekosistem kreatif yang berkembang pesat dan didominasi oleh pelaku usaha perempuan. Meskipun 64,5% UMKM di Indonesia dikelola oleh perempuan, berbagai hambatan struktural seperti akses pembiayaan, tekanan peran domestik, dan keterbatasan kapasitas manajerial masih menjadi tantangan signifikan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus multipel, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dinamika kepemimpinan berbasis empati, pembangunan kepercayaan dalam konteks budaya lokal, negosiasi peran sosial, serta integrasi identitas kreatif dalam pengambilan keputusan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen digital, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik tematik induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat tema inti: kepemimpinan relasional, konsistensi sebagai dasar kepercayaan, batas peran yang cair dalam hubungan pertemanan, serta otonomi kreatif sebagai ekspresi identitas pemilik usaha. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan wirausahawan perempuan muda tidak hanya berorientasi pada kinerja, tetapi juga berakar pada nilai-nilai lokal seperti siri’, yang mempengaruhi gaya komunikasi dan dinamika kerja tim. Implikasi praktis mencakup kebutuhan akan pelatihan kepemimpinan yang sensitif budaya, dukungan psikososial untuk mencegah burnout, serta penguatan literasi manajerial untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan bisnis fesyen lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menginvestigasi motivasi berwirausaha generasi milenial pada sektor kafe dan kedai kopi di Makassar melalui pendekatan fenomenologi interpretatif. Studi ini berangkat dari konteks tumbuhnya budaya kafe sebagai ruang ekonomi–sosial–kultural yang menjadi wadah ekspresi identitas, jejaring komunitas, dan inovasi digital. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis artefak usaha terhadap 14 pemilik kafe milenial. Hasil analisis tematik mengungkap enam motivasi utama: otonomi, ekspresi identitas, koneksi komunitas, kemandirian finansial, inovasi digital, dan resiliensi dalam menghadapi krisis. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa motivasi tersebut tidak berdiri sendiri, melainkan terbentuk dari interaksi lintas faktor psikologis, sosial, budaya, dan teknologi. Digitalisasi, komunitas offline–online, dan kondisi pascakrisis menjadi katalis penting dalam membentuk cara milenial memulai, mempertahankan, dan memaknai bisnis kafe. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya dukungan ekosistem yang holistik—menggabungkan pelatihan digital, pembiayaan, ruang komunitas, serta kebijakan kota yang adaptif. Studi ini memberi kontribusi teoretis dengan mengintegrasikan teori motivasi, perspektif ekosistem regional, dan affordances digital dalam memahami motivasi wirausaha kontemporer, sekaligus menawarkan implikasi praktis bagi pembuat kebijakan, lembaga pelatihan, dan aktor ekosistem kewirausahaan lokal.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the transformation of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices in community-based MSMEs in the coastal areas of South Sulawesi. Using an exploratory approach with in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews involving 20 participants, the research reveals five key themes of HRM transformation: (1) negotiated formalization, where formal HR elements are flexibly adopted considering kinship ties; (2) relational performance systems emphasizing collective assessment mechanisms; (3) youth-mediated digital adoption; (4) crisis-driven safety and wellbeing practices; and (5) financing constraints limiting human capital investments. The findings demonstrate that HRM transformation does not follow standard corporate models but rather constitutes a hybridization process where formal practices are adapted within community norms. The study concludes that effective support for coastal MSMEs requires multidimensional approaches that respect local cultural logics, leverage youth as digital mediators, and address structural financing constraints.

Abstract

This study examines how pangadereng—a moral–cultural system grounded in honor, etiquette, reciprocity, and religious ethics—continues to shape entrepreneurial behavior among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. Using a qualitative phenomenological design involving interviews, participant observation, and artifact analysis, the research explores how entrepreneurs interpret and operationalize pangadereng amid digitalization, market integration, and shifting generational norms. Findings show that pangadereng structures trust, informal credit, reputation repair, price negotiation, and conflict resolution, functioning as an embedded governance mechanism that reduces uncertainty and sustains long-term exchange relationships. However, while these relational strengths support resilience and survival, they also limit scalability due to constrained access to formal finance, uneven digital capability, and tensions between moral profitability and competitive pressure. The study argues that pangadereng is an adaptive rather than static system, with younger entrepreneurs selectively reinterpreting its values in digital contexts. Policy implications include the need for culturally attuned business training, reputation-based microfinance models, gender-responsive support mechanisms, and co-designed digital tools that preserve soft information flows essential to trust-based markets. The study concludes by positioning pangadereng as a strategic cultural asset that can anchor inclusive and ethically grounded entrepreneurial development when integrated with modern competencies and institutional support.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan pendekatan Wahdatul Ulum dalam proses pemberdayaan masyarakat, dengan menekankan pada integrasi antara nilai-nilai Islam dan ilmu sosial. Fokus utama dari kajian ini adalah bagaimana konsep kesatuan ilmu yang bersumber dari wahyu dan rasio dapat diwujudkan dalam praktik sosial kemasyarakatan yang bersifat transformatif dan partisipatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, mengkaji berbagai literatur keislaman, teori ilmu sosial, serta dokumentasi pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis nilai Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Wahdatul Ulum memberikan kerangka konseptual yang kuat dalam merancang program pemberdayaan yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada aspek material, tetapi juga spiritual, etika, dan kultural. Integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dengan ilmu sosial menghasilkan model pemberdayaan yang seimbang antara pembangunan individu dan kolektif dalam masyarakat. Namun, tantangan masih muncul dalam bentuk dikotomi ilmu, resistensi sosial, serta lemahnya sinergi antara institusi keagamaan dan sosial. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi kontribusi dalam pengembangan paradigma pemberdayaan masyarakat Islami yang holistik dan kontekstual.
