Abstract

Refractory is one type of ceramic material which is thermostable (high temperature resistant) and has the ability to maintain a good physical and chemical condition at high temperature. Manufacture of refractory in this study using used kiln refractory from cement industry and 15% coal fly ash as additional. This research analyzed the effect of green body pressure produced by physical properties of refractory which made from mixture of used refractory and coal fly ash. Used refractory crushed into large aggregate size -40 +80 mesh and small aggregate size -80 mesh, while fly ash -100 mesh. Then, the two of material mixed. Raw material pressed by press hydrauliuc, with a cube-shaped mold in 5 x 5 x 5 cm size. The pressure of green body varied in 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 tons. The product tested by archimedes methode to getting apparent porosity and bulk density, and guarded hot plate methode standard use ASTM (C 177-04) to getting the cold crushing strengh and thermal conductivity. Higher pressure molding green body product was obtained with higher compressive strength and bulk density, with lower value of the apparent thermal conductivity and porosity. The highest value for the compressive strength and bulk density was 4.48 MPa; 1.119 g / cm3; the lowest value of thermal conductivity and apparent porosity is 11.60 W / m.K; 22.034%. Those values obtained from green pressure body 13 tons.AbstrakRefraktori merupakan salah satu jenis bahan keramik yang tahan terhadap panas (temperatur tinggi) dan memiliki kemampuan untuk mempertahankan kondisinya baik secara fisik maupun kimia pada temperatur tinggi tersebut. Pembuatan refraktori pada penelitian ini menggunakan bahan baku refraktori bekas pakai kiln pabrik semen dengan tambahan 15% fly ash batu bara. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh tekanan green body dari campuran refraktori bekas pakai dan fly ash batu bara yang dihasilkan terhadap sifat fisik refraktori tersebut. Bahan baku refraktori bekas pakai dihaluskan dengan distribusi ukuran agregat besar -40+80 mesh dan ukuran agregat kecil -80 mesh, sedangkan fly ash batu bara berukuran -100 mesh. Pemadatan bahan baku dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat press hydraulic, dengan cetakan berbentuk kubus dengan ukuran 5 x 5 x 5 cm. Dilakukan variasi tekanan campuran green body sebesar 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, dan 13 ton. Pengujian produk dilakukan dengan uji porositas (apparent porosity) dan densitas (bulk density) dengan metode archimedes, kuat tekan (cold crushing strenght), dan uji konduktivitas termal bahan dilakukan dengan metode guarded hot plate menggunakan standarASTM (C 177-04). Pengaruh tekanan green body dari campuran fly ash batu bara dan refraktori bekas pakai kiln terhadap sifat fisik refraktori adalah semakin tinggi tekanan pencetakan green body, maka semakin tinggi nilai kuat tekan dan densitasnya, sedangkan nilai konduktivitas termal dan porositas akan semakin rendah. Nilai tertinggi untuk kuat tekan dan densitas adalah 4,48MPa; 1,119 gr/cm3; nilai terendah konduktivitas termal dan porositas adalah 11,60 W/m.K; 22,034 %. Nilai-nilai tersebut didapatkan dari tekanan green body 13 ton.

Abstract

Berdasarkan kondisi yang diamati selama ini pada kelas IV SDN Terpencil Lambani Tada, sebagian besar siswaterlihat pasif, beberapa siswa cenderung lebih bersifat non kooperatifdan bermain, berbicara dengan siswa lain dalam mengikuti mata pelajaran IPS yang terkesan berisi materi yang cukup banyak. Metode pembelajaran IPS yang umumnya digunakan oleh guru kelas selama ini adalah metode konvensional yang mengandalkan ceramah dan alat bantu utamanya adalah papan tulis.Kurangnya inovasi media penunjang pembelajaran merupakan kendala dalam proses pembelajaran sebab guru hanya mengandalkan buku ajar dalam menyampaikan materi dan konsep, guru jarang  menggunakan alat atau media untuk memperlihatkan secara konkret tentang materi yang telah dipelajari. Hal tersebut dapat mengakibatkan hasil belajar yang relatif rendah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa semester genap tahun ajaran 2012/2013 adalah60% atau belum mencapai65% berdasarkanKriteria Ketuntasan Minimal di SDN Terpenci Lambani yang ditetapkan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa, serta mengetahui kemampuan pengelolaan guru dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media gambar pada siswa kelas IV SDN Terpencil Lambani Tada. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan berakhir pada siklus II karena dinyatakan telah berhasil, dimana tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas IVSDN Terpencil Lambani Tada berjumlah 29 siswa, terdiri dari 12 laki-laki dan 17 perempuan. Hasil data yang diperoleh selama pelaksanaan tindakan siklus I dan siklus II dengan menerapkan pembelajaran dengan penggunaan media gambar maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS pada siswa kelas IV SDN Terpencil Lambani Tada. Hal ini terlihat aktivitas siswa dan guru yang mengalami peningkatan yang cukup berarti dari siklus I ke siklus II, dengan media gambar yang diterapkan oleh peneliti. KBK siklus I adalah 62,07% dan siklus II sebesar 93,10%. Sedangkan DSI siklus I adalah 69,24% dan siklus II sebesar 80,28%. Kata Kunci: Media gambar, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran IPS.

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to describe the influence of understanding concept physics students through the application of strategy problem based learning with conventional learning material optical instruments in class VIII SMP 26 Pekanbaru. The subjects were two class VIII SMP 26 Pekanbaru that homogeneous. They are VIII.2 and VIII.3. VIII.2 has 38 students while class VIII.3 has 39 students. Data collection instrument in this research is the understanding concept achievement test which consists of test items totaling 18 points multiple choice questions. Analysis of the data in this research is a descriptive analysis to see an overview of understanding concept result of students using the category of understanding concept. From the analysis of data showed: the average absorption of experiments class is 65.5 % and the average absorption of control class is 56 %. Thus, the results of experiments studying physics class higher than the control class. So it can conclude that learning using problem based learning strategies give good influential in understanding concept at material optical instruments in class VIII SMPN 26 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Problem Based Learning, Understanding Concept, Optical Instruments.

Abstract

Abstract : This study was aim to determine the differences in students' cognitive science learning outcomes by applying cooperative learning models with LKPD word square with conventional learning. This research conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Peranap on Mei 2018. Two groups of samples were choose from homogeneous classes. Quasi experiments with posttest only non-equivalent control group design used in this study. The data obatained from cognitive learning result test which consisted of 15 items multiple choice. Descriptive and inferential analysis used for data analysis. Based on descriptive analysis, the average of skor in experimental class was 80,36 and 71,4 for control class, this indicated student’s learning result in experimental class was higher than control class. Based on inferential analysis through independent sample t test sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.300 < 0.05. This mean was a significant differences. Thus it concluded that the use of cooperative learning model with LKPD word square can enhance student’s learning outcomes in VII class SMP Negeri 2 Peranap of solar system material.Keywords: Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning Model, LKPD Word Square, Solar System

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to determine the increase in student learning motivation by applying Simas Eric model. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Pekanbaru. This research is a quasi experimental research with nonequivalent control group design research. Population of this research is student of class XI MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The samples were taken from two classes of population based on the homogeneity test and randomly assigned to obtain the experimental class and control class. Data collection was done by giving questionnaires to students before and after learning with the application of Simas Eric on the experimental class and conventional learning in the control class. Descriptive and inferential analysis were used to analyze the data.The result of this research showed n-gain of student's average learning motivation with application of Simas Eric is 0,52 model and n-gain of student's average learning motivation with conventional learning is 0,27 mean that there is an improvement. Based on inferential analysis through independent sample t test sig value was obtained (2-tailed) = 0.00 <0.05 which means there is a significant difference. Thus it can be concluded that the application of Simas Eric model can improve students' learning motivation on global warming material in XI class MAN 1 Pekanbaru.Keywords : simas eric method, learning motivation, global warming material

Abstract

Local wisdom is one of the cultural values that are still manifest in the order of life of the people in Indonesia. It is a valuable concept so that it can be used as a guide to behavior in a society. This research was conducted with the aim of (1) analyzing the forms of local wisdom contained in the community and their impact on tourism development; (2) finding models or innovations in forms of local wisdom in an effort to realize sustainable development in general and tourism development in particular. This study was conducted at Gampong Aneuk Laot and Gampong Iboih by involving community elements, namely the Village Head, Tuha Peuet, Religious Leaders, cultural figures and tourism actors. Overall, it can be concluded that the value of local wisdom, especially environmental aspects, is a driving factor for proper economic and socio-cultural aspects to be used as a model of local wisdom that can guarantee the sustainability of tourism development.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed at determining the differences of student learn by science process skills applied an inquiry training model with classes that applied conventional learning to light and optical materials of second grade students of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is quasi eksperimental with two-group posttest-only design. The study population was all second grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru in the Academic Year 2018/2019 which totaled 381 students and the study sample amounted to 78 students. The research instrument used was a matter of testing students' science process skills. The data collection technique in this study was to provide a test with indicators of science process skills after the learning process was carried out. In this study, the data were analyzed by evaluating students’ absorption and effectiveness, and inferential analysis of hypothesis testing by means of a t-test. The results of this study are the absorption capacity of the experimental class of 78.13% in the good category and the control class at 69.08% in the fairly good category with a value difference of 9.05%. The effectiveness of learning in the experimental class is in the effective category and the control class is in the quite effective category. Based on the t-test obtained a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.01 <0.05 which explains that there is a significant difference between the science process skills of students who apply the inquiry training model and those who apply conventional learning.Key Words: Science Process Skills, Inquiry Training, Light and Optical Instruments

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce high-school physics learning media Newton's legal material about valid motion so it is worthy to be used as a medium for learning physics of high school students. The research method used is research and development with development stage following the ADDIE model. Media developed through three stages in accordance with the development model used. In this study, the media was developed only until at the 3rd stage of the 5 stages of the ADDIE model of analysis, design and devolepment. The research data obtained from the validation of 6 experts as a validator. The validation instrument in adaptation of Nasir 2014 is composed of 4 aspects, namely design aspect, pedagogic aspect, content aspect and technical aspects. Design aspect of 3.85 in the high category, aspect paedagogik equal to 4,0491 in high category, content aspect of 3,92 in high category and technical aspect equal to 3,95 in high category. Overall, each assessment indicator on each aspect is declared valid and in accordance with the development objectives. Based on this matter, it can be concluded that the physics learning media has been valid based on design aspect, pedagogic aspect, content aspect and technical aspect so it is worthy to be used as a source of high school physics on Newton's legal matter about motion. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the difficulties of students of class X MAN 1 Pekanbaru in solving the physics problem of simple harmonic motion. The research started from April 2017 until June 2017. This research type is survey research with quantitative approach. The sample of this study was taken from all the existing population of students MAN 1 Pekanbaru in class X MIA, amounting to 57 people. The research instrument consists of essay test which consists of 10 questions. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the lowest percentage of ability at 30.16% indicator determines the speed of simple harmonic motion with difficulty level "very difficult" and the highest percentage of capability of 76.63% in the indicator determines the restoring force acting on the pendulum with the difficulty level " not hard". It can be concluded that students still have difficulty in solving the physics problems of simple harmonic motion of class X MAN 1 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Student Difficulties, Simple Harmonic Motion

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengkaji, menganalisis, dan mendeskripsikan model pendidikan kader berbasis pesantren di Madrasah Muallimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta; (2) mengungkap kehidupan budaya Podok Pesantren Muallimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian pada Madrasah Muallimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode pengamatan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumen, catatan lapangan, rekaman arsip. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Pendidikan kader di Madrasah Muallimin mempersiapkan kader kemanusiaan, keummatan, di masa mendatang yang kuat secara ketauhidan, kepribadian, dan keilmuan. Tahap awal menghasilkan kader ulama, pemimpin, muballigh dan pendidik melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan. belajar kemuhammadiyahan lebih mendalam, mencakup historis, organisatoris, dan ideologis, serta mampu memeragakan nilai muhammadiyah itu sendiri. Model pendidikan kader berbasis pesantren meliputi:(a) Input,: menggunakan raport; psikotes; representasi/keterwakilan daerah. (b) Process: memadukan sistem sekolah modern dan asrama pesantren melalui uswah (keteladanan). Strategi pengkaderan, Kurikulum yang dikembangkan untuk perubahan, (c) Output: 95% lulusan melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Sebanyak 80% memasuki perguruan tinggi sesuai dengan harapan siswa. (d) Outcome: alumninya berhasil dengan berbagai profesi dan mengembangkan amal usaha Muhammadiyah di daerah asalnya. (2) Kehidupan Pesantren Muallimin Muahammadiyah membangun: budaya kemandirian, budaya taqwa, budaya akhlaqul karimah, budaya amar makruf nahi mungkar, berorientasi kepada keahlian dan keikhlasan.
