Abstract

The purpose of this study is to outline and evaluate the efforts made by Islamic Religious Education (IRE) instructors at SMP Negeri 11 Baubau to introduce intercultural education to eleventh-grade students. The background of this research is based on the importance of multicultural education in shaping attitudes of tolerance, respect for diversity, and fostering a harmonious school environment amid students' diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds. This study uses a case study methodology in conjunction with a qualitative approach. Techniques for gathering data include documentation, in-depth interviews, and observation. The findings show that through instructional resources, interactive teaching techniques, and setting an example of behavior, IRE teachers actively contribute to the integration of multicultural values into the learning process. Additionally, educators support the growth of a diverse and inclusive school culture. Despite obstacles including pupils' poor comprehension of diversity and classroom time limits, overall efforts have improved students' character development by encouraging tolerance, openness, and respect for one another. As a result, Islamic Religious Education's multicultural curriculum strategically contributes to fostering social harmony in the classroom.

Abstract

Religious education is an education system that covers all aspects of life needed by humanity in order to improve the appreciation and experience of religion in social, religious, national and state life. At the junior high school level, the value of Islamic religious education needs to be applied in the learning process in order to form a good, obedient and disciplined personality. In implementing this research, it is expected to improve religious values for students who do not obey school rules and regulations that have been set in the classroom. A qualitative approach is the method used in this study. Researchers conducted observations to directly observe the objects to be studied, then conducted interviews to obtain data or information directly from respondents and finally documentation, namely collecting photos, videos, or written items if necessary. From the results of the study related to the value of Islamic religious education for students who do not obey school rules, there are still many students who pay less attention to the teacher during the learning process. In the classroom, many students still play and make noise when the teacher explains the lesson. From this, teachers are only able to provide advice or suggestions to students and do not give punishment or sanctions, because teachers are afraid that students will report to their parents if they are punished, and sometimes students report to their parents by exaggerating that the punishment given by the teacher is very severe and difficult. Through interviews, many students also dislike Islamic religious education subjects.

Abstract

Pneumonia remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children, especially those with weakened immunity due to factors such as insufficient breast milk, malnutrition, HIV or measles infection, premature birth, or incomplete immunizations. Environmental exposures—including dust, cigarette smoke, and air pollution further elevate the risk. This study aimed to systematically review literature (2019–2024) on the effectiveness of chest physiotherapy in improving clinical outcomes, specifically respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, length of hospital stay, and symptomatic recovery in children with pneumonia. We conducted electronic searches on Google Scholar, NCBI, and accredited Indonesian journals using the keywords “chest physiotherapy” and “pneumonia in children.” From approximately 60 initially identified articles, eight met our inclusion criteria and were reviewed in full. Most studies were quasi‑experimental; one was a randomized controlled trial. Study populations ranged from infants (0–5 years) to older children (6–12 years). Interventions comprised postural drainage, clapping, vibration, percussion, deep‑breathing exercises, and effective coughing techniques. Results from eight studies indicated modest improvements in oxygen saturation and reductions in respiratory rate in some small trials. However, findings were inconsistent, with substantial heterogeneity in methodology, intervention protocols, and outcome reporting. Overall evidence quality was low to moderate. Chest physiotherapy may offer potential benefits in terms of oxygenation and respiratory rate in pediatric pneumonia patients. Nevertheless, current evidence remains limited and heterogeneous. High‑quality randomized controlled trials using standardized protocols are needed to establish stronger recommendations

Abstract

The conflict resolution method employed by the Prophet Muhammad SAW in fostering peace remains effective to this day in addressing disputes between groups. As the primary actor, mediator, and participant in conflicts, the Prophet Muhammad SAW exemplified a solution-oriented and humanistic approach. His methodology emphasized problem-solving by ensuring justice and balancing the interests of all parties involved. This study examines the extent to which the conflict resolution approach of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was implemented in promoting peace in Balinuraga Village, Way Panji District, South Lampung, following an inter-group conflict. A key reference during the Prophet’s era was the Medina Charter, which enshrines foundational principles for coexistence, including justice, protection of human rights, interfaith tolerance, and equality before the law irrespective of ethnicity, religion, or social status. Moreover, the spirit of pluralism introduced by the Prophet Muhammad SAW through the Medina Charter serves as a crucial basis for constructing a peaceful and inclusive society. In contemporary contexts, pluralism can only thrive when underpinned by principles of tolerance, anti-discrimination, legal fairness, and non-violence. Exclusive mindsets and attitudes often incite provocations that lead to communal and separatist conflicts, thus necessitating a counterbalance of solidarity and empathy, particularly towards vulnerable groups or victims of violence.

Abstract

The main aim of this article was to see the public space of Pesantren as an arena for negotiating Islamic moral ideas and modernity. The practice of dating in Islamic literature is linked to immoral action because it is contrary to Islamic teachings that prohibit relationships outside marriage. It has become an important part of Islamic moral education. Dating in Pesantren is prohibited, and it is a relationship outside marriage. However, there are still many students who develop romantic relationships with members of the opposite sex in the public spaces of Pesantren. Through ethnographic studies, researchers observed Santriwati’s dating practices and interviewed them to determine the moral basis for these actions. Based on these observations at the Pesantren Madrasah Ulumul Qur’an (MUQ) Langsa, the practice of dating was carried out by santriwati by hiding behind buildings and rooms in the Islamic boarding school. This secretive and tactical action was carried out not to confront the rules made by the ustadz but as part of a negotiation between obeying the rules and the choice to continue dating. The researcher concluded that, even though the Islamic boarding school public space is filled with moral values produced by kyai and ustadz, the students still can carry out actions outside the Islamic boarding school's ideas of morality.

Abstract

The development of society and globalization have made crimes such as kidnapping, murder, and rape more diverse. In Indonesia, missing persons reports are often the beginning of the revelation of criminal acts, but the handling by the police is still slow and not uniform. Some reports are only processed after 1x24 hours, even though time is crucial. At the Salaman Police Station, 32 cases of missing persons in 2021-2025 led to criminal acts, showing the need for improvement. Handling must be fast, precise, and uniform without administrative delay, in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code and police regulations that require immediate service and victim protection. Standard regulations are needed that regulate the operational standards for handling missing persons reports, especially if they contain suspected criminal acts. This research uses a normative juridical method with a legal approach and a conceptual approach. To strengthen the argument, an interview was conducted with the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Salaman Police in a structured manner. This research uses a normative-empirical type of research. The approaches used in this study are the laws and regulations approach, and the case approach. Normative-empirical research uses primary data and is supported by secondary data. The results of the study concluded that the action taken by the Salaman Sector Police of Magelang Regency when there is a report of a missing person suspected of being a victim of a crime is to follow up in accordance with the SOP for the Acceptance of Police Reports and the SOP for Public Visits in accordance with Article 7 letters c and d of the Regulation of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Commission of the Code of Ethics of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia,  and Article 1 number 4 of the Regulation of the Chief of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2019 concerning Criminal Investigation. The Salaman Police directly followed up on missing person complaints without following the 1 x 24-hour waiting mechanism, and followed up on missing person complaints in the same way by following up on reports of suspected criminal acts. The reason is that missing person complaints can develop into reports of alleged criminal acts, as well as problems in uncovering the truth of the case of handling missing persons reports in the Salaman Sector Police, Magelang Regency is based on the theory of factors that affect law enforcement by Soerjono Soekanto, namely regarding community factors and cultural factors.
