Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) leaves possess diverse pharmacological properties with promising development potential, particularly as antibiofilm and antioxidant agents. This study aimed to evaluate the antibacterial, antibiofilm, and antioxidant activities of E. guineensis leaf extract. The leaves were macerated in acetone for five days. Antibacterial activity was determined using the disc diffusion method against four bacterial species: Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The extract exhibited moderate antibacterial activity, with the highest inhibition observed against P. acnes (6.79 mm at 25%). Antibiofilm activity was evaluated using a microdilution method, showing concentration-dependent inhibition, with the highest activity at 1% concentration, reaching 83.90% (mid-phase, S. aureus) and 71.28% (E. coli). Antioxidant activity was assessed using DPPH, FRAP, and ABTS assays, yielding IC50 values of 99.19 ppm, 119.12 ppm, and 123.37 ppm, respectively, indicating moderate antioxidant capacity (IC50 > 50-150 ppm). Overall, E. guineensis leaf extract demonstrates moderate antibacterial, antibiofilm, and antioxidant activities, suggesting its potential as a preliminary candidate for further pharmacological investigation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing Project-Based Learning (PjBL) integrated with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning (SRL) among elementary school students. The study was motivated by the low level of students' problem-solving skills and SRL, which has largely been attributed to the persistence of teacher-centered instruction. A mixed-methods approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The participants were fifth-grade elementary school students assigned to an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent samples t-tests, and thematic analysis. The findings indicate that STEM- and AI-based PjBL significantly enhances students' problem-solving skills and SRL.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan pendidikan agama dalam keluarga dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap Hasil belajar PAI siswa MTs Raudlatul Muta'allimien Probolinggo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sedangkan metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis korelasi dengan regresi ganda. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTs Raudlatul Mutaallimien. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 100 siswa yang diambil secara purporsive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa ada yang signifikan antara Pendidikan Agama dalam keluarga dan motivasi berprestasi dengan hail belajar dengan nilai korelasi r hitung sebesar ry3 = 0,448. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pada rumusan hipotesis yang diajukan ada hubungan Pendidikan Islam dalam Keluarga dan Motivasi Berprestasi terhadap Hasil Belajar PAI diterima.Kata Kuci: Pendidikan Islam; Motivasi; Hasil belajar.

Abstract

This study investigates the transformation of higher education financial governance as institutions transition toward financial independence in an increasingly digital and market-driven landscape. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of scholarship from 2014 to 2024, the research synthesizes global and national perspectives, with a particular focus on the Indonesian context, to identify strategies for revenue diversification and the role of digital innovation. Findings indicate that the shift from bureaucratic-administrative to managerial-entrepreneurial models is essential for institutional resilience. Key strategies include the optimization of endowment funds, research commercialization, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). Furthermore, the integration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Financial Technology (FinTech), such as blockchain for auditing, significantly enhances transparency and accountability. The study concludes that achieving financial autonomy requires a holistic alignment of robust governance frameworks, digital infrastructure, and public transparency to ensure long-term fiscal sustainability.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Juvenile delinquency in industrial environments has become a serious issue influenced by limited parental supervision and weak internalization of religious values due to socio-economic dynamics. This study aims to analyze the role of religious leaders in non-formal Islamic education and its effectiveness in addressing juvenile delinquency in industrial areas. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving three religious leaders and fifteen adolescents. Data were analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that religious leaders play significant roles as educators, mentors, and role models through activities such as religious gatherings, youth study groups, and short-term Islamic boarding programs using personal and contextual approaches. These roles have proven effective in reducing deviant behaviors such as fighting, alcohol consumption, and truancy, while also enhancing religious awareness and self-control among adolescents. This study highlights that community-based non-formal Islamic education serves as an effective preventive strategy in addressing juvenile delinquency in industrial environments. The findings imply the need for strengthening the capacity of religious leaders and providing community-based policy support to ensure the sustainability of youth development programs. ABSTRAK Kenakalan remaja di lingkungan industri telah menjadi masalah serius yang dipengaruhi oleh terbatasnya pengawasan orang tua dan lemahnya internalisasi nilai-nilai agama akibat dinamika sosial-ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran tokoh agama dalam pendidikan Islam nonformal serta efektivitasnya dalam menangani kenakalan remaja di kawasan industri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan tiga tokoh agama dan lima belas remaja. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh agama memiliki peran penting sebagai pendidik, pembimbing, dan teladan melalui kegiatan seperti pengajian, kelompok kajian remaja, dan program pesantren kilat dengan menggunakan pendekatan personal dan kontekstual. Peran tersebut terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi perilaku menyimpang seperti perkelahian, konsumsi minuman keras, dan bolos sekolah, sekaligus meningkatkan kesadaran beragama dan pengendalian diri pada remaja. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan Islam nonformal berbasis masyarakat merupakan strategi preventif yang efektif dalam mengatasi kenakalan remaja di lingkungan industri. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan perlunya penguatan kapasitas tokoh agama serta dukungan kebijakan berbasis masyarakat guna menjamin keberlanjutan program pembinaan remaja.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: Developing students' Islamic character is one of the primary objectives of religious-based education, yet religious habituation programs frequently struggle with implementation and consistency. This study examines the implementation of the religious habituation program at Nurul Hikmah Islamic Junior High School and its function in fostering students' Islamic character. Methodology: The principal, homeroom teachers, Islamic education teachers, and a few chosen students served as informants in this descriptive qualitative study. Miles and Huberman's interactive approach, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, was used to examine the data gathered through documentation, in-depth interviews, and observation. Triangulation of sources and methods was used to guarantee the veracity of the data. Main Findings: The results demonstrate that organised practices, such as communal Dhuha prayer, Qur'anic recitation, group prayers, and disciplinary training, are used to practice religious habituation. These activities effectively uphold religious principles and aid in developing students' character. Limited facilities, the' lack of discipline among confident pupils, and differing parental support are among the difficulties. The school's institutional dedication, an intense religious atmosphere, and faculty involvement are all supporting aspects. Novelty/Originality of this study: The study concludes that Islamic character is effectively shaped by religious habituation. It is innovative in that it maps the characteristics that facilitate and hinder the boarding school setting and provides a contextual approach to enhancing religious culture in Islamic secondary schools.

Abstract

Environmental education has become an essential agenda in school management because ecological awareness must be translated into students’ values, habits, and responsible behavior. This study aims to synthesize previous research on the integration of environmental education into school management to strengthen students’ environmental care character. This study employed an integrative literature review by analyzing relevant studies published between 2018 and 2025 on school management, environmental education, green schools, Adiwiyata programs, school culture, environmental literacy, and pro-environmental behavior. The reviewed literature was analyzed thematically to identify recurring patterns related to institutional policy, curriculum integration, school culture, stakeholder participation, environmental facilities, and program evaluation. The findings indicate that environmental education is more effective when it is embedded in school management through strategic planning, curriculum implementation, daily habituation, teacher and principal role modelling, student participation, supportive infrastructure, and continuous evaluation. The synthesis also shows that students’ environmental care character is not formed merely through classroom instruction, but through a consistent school ecosystem that integrates cognitive, affective, behavioral, cultural, and managerial dimensions. This study contributes a conceptual framework of environmental education-based school management, in which institutional, pedagogical, cultural, participatory, ecological-practical, and evaluative components work together to shape students’ environmental responsibility. The implication of this study is that schools should position environmental education as an integral part of institutional governance rather than as an additional, ceremonial, or award-oriented program.
