Abstract

The South Halmahera Islands feature a comprehensive marine coastal ecology. The ecosystems found were seagrass, mangrove and coral reef ecosystems. The components that sustain the existence of this ecosystem are employed equitably because of its geographical location on the equator. Mangrove ecosystems that provide benefits directly and indirectly to the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of the mangrove ecosystem based on the hemispherical photography method and the type of zonation. Tawabi Island, Kayoa, South Halmahera Regency served as the site of the equator research. The research station is determined as many as 3 stations. Mangrove percent cover canopy using the hemispherical photography and transect quadrant for density. Field data gathering procedures with transects drawn perpendicular from the sea to the land. Zonation characteristics and thickness using zone tracking. Density mangrove using ecology analysis and zonation using canvas 9.0. The results of the research founded were Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata and Sonneratia alba. Mangrove percent cover canopy were good category (75-81%), where station I (75%), station II (81%) and station III (77%). Station I having 600 trees per ha, station II having 500 trees per ha, and station III having 400 trees per ha (low density category). Mangroves were found in 3 zones Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora apiculata and Rhizophora mucronata. The mangrove thickness from sea to land at station I (65 meters), station II (69 meters) and station III (42 meters).Keywords:biodiversitycoastalequator lineHalmaheratropical

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran habit forming pada pembentukan karakter anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK PKK Sikur Barat 01. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian pre experimental design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di TK PKK Sikur Barat dengan subjek penelitian kelompok B sejumlah 15 anak. Peneliti memperoleh data dari hasil observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji validitas, normalitas, dan hipotesis. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi menggunakan expert judgement memperoleh skor 30, dengan rentang nilai 27,18 < X ≤ 33,54 dan dengan kategori “baik”. Uji normalitas data pada penelitan ini dinyatakan berdistribusi “Normal” dengan nilai pre test chi kuadrat hitung = 9,71, dengan taraf signifikan 5% dan chi kuadrat tabel=11,070, sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa (9,7<11,070), dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa data pada penelitian ini bersidtribusi “Normal”. Hasil uji t penelitian ini dengan t hitung = -1,8, harga t tersebut selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan harga t tabel dengan dk=n1+n2-2=15+15-2=28. Bila taraf kesalahan ditetapkan 5%, maka t tabel=2,048, jadi t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel (-1,8<2,048), sehingga hasil uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini tidak berbeda secara signifikan (Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak). Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran habit forming tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap pembentukan karakter anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK PKK Sikur Barat 01.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Mendeskripsikan pengaruh metode parenting terhadap pengembangan kecerdasan emosional anak usia dini. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ekperimen semu  dengan desain pretest dan posstest nonequivalent group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa pendidikan anak usia di (PAUD) di Kecamatan Pringgasela. Sampel penelitian diambil secara acak  dengan 2 langkah: 1) memilih 4 (empat) PAUD dari 41 PAUD yang ada di Kecamatan Pringgasela, dan 2) memilih 2 (dua) PAUD secara Acak untuk di terapkan menggunakan metode parenting, dan 2 (dua) PAUD untuk diterapkan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrument penelitian ini adalah angket kecerdasan emosional. Data dianalis dengan t-test pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan metode parenting terhadap perkembangan kecerdasan emosional anak usia dini.

Abstract

The radicalization of Islam in the digital world is a major challenge for generation z, especially those who are active in using the internet and social media. This study aims to understand radicalization in the digital world, factors that make the generation vulnerable to radicalization, and the challenges and solutions faced by generation z in preventing radicalization. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection through observation and interviews with generation z who actively use the internet and social media, and analysis of literature from various sources. The results of this study indicate that social media is the main tool in the spread of extreme thoughts carried out by radical groups through digital propaganda, closed discussion forums and the spread of hoax news. Generation z who are in the stage of searching for their identity are vulnerable to being influenced by radical narratives. The main challenges faced are low digital literacy and lack of moderate religious understanding. Meanwhile, solutions that can be done by increasing digital literacy, education that teaches the values of religious moderation, and the active role of families in providing an understanding of tolerant Islam. Generation z is expected to be able to become a driving force that rejects radicalization and supports diversity in this digital era.

Abstract

Final semester students often experience academic procrastination which results in delays in completing their studies. This study aims to examine the role of academic advisors in minimizing academic procrastination behavior of final semester students of the Department of Public Administration, Makassar State University. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a purposive sampling technique. The informants in this study consisted of 11 alumni who graduated on time in the 2021–2023 graduation period and 5 academic advisors whose students successfully completed their studies on time. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that personal motivation, support from family and peers, and active guidance from lecturers were the main factors that encouraged students to complete their thesis. Meanwhile, low intrinsic motivation, minimal external support, limited resources, and weak time management were the main obstacles. Academic advisors play an important role in providing direction, motivation, emotional support, and intensive mentoring, which help students become more disciplined and focused in completing their final assignments. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of lecturers in the academic process, especially in encouraging timely completion of studies.

Abstract

Violence in school settings presents a critical challenge that undermines both academic achievement and personal development. This study examines various forms of violence ranging from verbal aggression (bullying, name-calling, and rumor-spreading) to physical confrontations (individual fights and brawls) at UPT SMA Model Negeri 5 Enrekang, a senior high school in Enrekang Regency, Indonesia. Employing a qualitative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis with a diverse group of participants, including students, teachers, and members of the Violence Prevention and Handling Team (TPPK). The findings reveal that verbal violence often serves as a precursor to physical aggression, with minor acts of teasing escalating into serious conflicts when coupled with interpersonal tension, unresolved personal grievances, and power imbalances among students. The TPPK plays a pivotal role in mitigating these incidents through prompt intervention, counseling, and the implementation of preventive measures. However, the study suggests that school-based efforts alone are insufficient. Comprehensive strategies, including enhanced teacher training, increased parental engagement, and robust community collaboration, are essential for fostering a safe and conducive learning environment. These results have significant implications for educational policy and practice, highlighting the need for holistic, proactive approaches to reduce violence in schools. Future research should focus on the longitudinal effects of these interventions and consider broader contextual factors influencing school violence.

Abstract

Sexual education is the process of providing information, understanding to children about aspects of reproductive sexual health, relationships, behavior and responsibility. Families should play a role in providing socialization of sexual education to children. However, the fact is that parents since ancient times have really considered taboo anything that smells of the word sex including providing sexual education to children. The reality in the field shows that the level of sexual violence that occurs to children in Indonesia is increasing every year including in Makassar, This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection technique is by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the challenges faced by millennial parents in providing sexual education to children are. The influence of social media, dependence on uncurated online information, social stigma that still exists, Gaps in inclusive or open teaching and Cultural and religious resistance. These challenges affect the effectiveness of delivering sexual education in the family, which in the end can have an impact on children's understanding of incorrect sexuality issues.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Identify the implementation of the social emotional learning (PSE) approach at the curriculum level through the most relevant subjects; (2) Analyze the implementation of social emotional learning (PSE) in the school environment; and (3) Analyze the implementation of social emotional learning (PSE) in students. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations and documentation with informants including teachers, staff, and students. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of PSE at SMAN 11 Gowa has covered three main aspects: (1) At the curriculum level, PSE is integrated into subjects such as Islamic Religious Education, Pancasila Education, and Indonesian, with learning methods that prioritize social and emotional values; (2) In the school environment, a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture supports the social-emotional development of students; and (3) In students, teachers and staff have an important role in becoming role models and facilitators who support students' social and emotional competence. This study concludes that an integrated PSE approach that is integrated comprehensively in the curriculum, school environment, and learning community can improve the quality of learning while developing students' characters. This study provides an important contribution to the development of educational policies that support students' social and emotional skills.

Abstract

Peran Kelompok Tani Lamung-Lamung Di Desa Balang Baru Kecamatan Tarowang Kabupaten Jeneponto 2014-2023. Tesis. Kekhususan Pendidikan Sejarah Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Makassar. Di bimbing Oleh Rasyid Ridha dan Ahmadin.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : Menganalisis peran kelompok tani lamung-lamung di Desa Balang Baru.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode sejarah terdapat empat jalur yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : Peran kelompok tani lamung-lamung di Desa Balang Baru bisa di lihat dari kerja sama antar anggotanya, penerapan budidaya inovatif yang merancang sistem tanam tumpang sari dan peningkatan efesiensi sumber daya yang membantu para petani dalam meningkatkan hasil produksi tanaman jagung hibrida.Kata Kunci : anggota kelompok tani, penerapan budidaya inovatif dan peningkatan efesiensi sumber daya  AbstractThe Role of the Lamung-Lamung Farmer Group in Balang Baru Village, Tarowang District, Jeneponto Regency 2014-2023. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1). Kedudukan Istana Kedatuan Luwu layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran Ips-Sejarah bagi peserta didik di SMP Negeri 5 PALOPO. (2). Pemanfaatan Istana Kedatuan Luwu sebagai media pembelajaran Ips-Sejarah bagi peserta didik di SMP Negeri 5 PALOPO. Dan (3). Faktor pendukung dan penghambat Istana Kedatuan Luwu sebagai media pembelajaran Ips-Sejarah bagi peserta didik di SMP Negeri 5 PALOPO. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Kedudukan Istana Kedatuan Luwu layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran Ips-Sejarah bagi peserta didik di SMP Negeri 5 PALOPO karena Istana kedatuan Luwu memiliki benda-benda yang dapat dijadikan sumber dalam berbagai topik, seperti: sejarah, politik, sosial, budaya dan ekonomi. (2) Pemanfaatan Istana Kedatuan Luwu sebagai sumber media pembelajaran IPS-Sejarah sangat sesuai dengan Capaian Pembelajaran yang didalamnya secara khusus mengharapkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menganalisis hubungan antara keragaman geografis nusantara terhadap kemajemukan budaya. (3) Faktor pendukung dan penghambat Istana Kedatuan Luwu sebagai media pembelajaran Ips-Sejarah bagi peserta didik di SMP Negeri 5 PALOPO, yaitu : a.
