Abstract

Accreditation is a special concern for a madrasa head because accreditation is a benchmark for good or bad quality in madrasas. This study intends to analyze how the leadership of a madrasa principal improves accreditation, this research was conducted at the Madrasah MTs Al-Hasana Medan. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques using interviews, documentation, and observation, while the validity of the data is carried out by reduction, display, and verification of research data. The results obtained are the stages in the accreditation process at MTs Al-Hasana Medan, namely preparation, implementation, and determination of accreditation. The principal's strategy in increasing accreditation is making work plans and programs, increasing professionalism, increasing student academic scores, developing student skills and potential, and conducting evaluations. Meanwhile, in leading the madrasah principal at MTs Al-Hasana Medan, he prioritizes deliberation, and democracy, involving all elements in the madrasa, prioritizing discipline and providing motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss Systemic Thinking for Strengthening Teacher Education at the Syekh Abdurrauf Aceh Singkil Islamic College. The method used in this article is qualitative. The results of this study can be concluded that education is a well-planned and well-organized program. A program with several components that work together in a process to achieve a programmed goal. There is an orderly pattern of thinking about finding and seeing things and working as a system. At STAI Abdur Rauf Aceh Singkil in strengthening teacher education by conducting a SWOT analysis and compiling a strategic plan, with SWOT analysis at STAI Syekh Abdurrauf Aceh Singkil, it will be possible to determine the steps in improving teacher education

Abstract

This study focuses on teacher performance management in integrated Islamic elementary schools Qur'an Kisaran, in this study a qualitative case study type method was used. data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that first, in teacher performance planning, the school and teachers work together to set clear and measurable goals. Teachers also make specific performance indicators and develop detailed and structured lesson plans. In addition, professional development efforts must also be carried out by teachers to improve the quality of teaching, and they also make a performance evaluation plan. Furthermore, in implementing performance, the teacher carries out learning activities according to the curriculum, conveys subject matter in a way that is easily understood by students, measures student progress objectively, creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, and attends training and professional development regularly. Finally, in performance appraisal, the principal makes direct observations of each teacher with scheduled class supervision, teachers are assessed on the basis of academic progress and student achievement in the subjects taught, assessments of other teacher colleagues or fellow staff provide input on the assessed teacher's performance, and teachers compile portfolios containing evidence of their performance. In addition, teachers are also asked to do personal reflection about their performance.

Abstract

This qualitative study explores the role of principals as leaders in improving teacher quality in the Panai Hulu sub-district, Labuhan Batu district. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentation methods. Analysis of the data followed Huberman and Miles' approach, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Additionally, the data's validity was assessed using credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability criteria proposed by Lincold and Guba. The findings of this study revealed several strategies implemented by Aliyah Madrasah heads to improve teacher quality, such as collaborating with external parties, providing motivation through training and workshops, maximizing subject teacher deliberations, facilitating continuing education, maintaining teacher resource materials, and conducting teacher supervision activities. The performance of the madrasa heads in enhancing teacher quality was assessed based on competencies such as personality, managerial skills, entrepreneurship, supervision, and social skills. However, various obstacles and constraints were identified, including financial difficulties faced by private madrasahs, resulting in limited resources and heavy reliance on the BOS funds. Additionally, teachers' punctuality and the age-related challenges in utilizing appropriate teaching media were identified as hindrances to improving teacher quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the dynamics of the Islamic education institution development program in the face of the globalization era at the Darul Muta`allimin Tanah Merah Aceh Singkil Islamic Boarding School, the research method used is qualitative, the results of this study are: a). Classification of the education system at the Darul Muta`allimin Tanah Merah Aceh Singkil Islamic Boarding School has various educational units classified by researchers into four types of systems, namely (1) the Islamic boarding school education system (recitations using classical books), (2) the Islamic boarding school education system public school education (Darmut Middle School and Darmut MA), (3) madrasah education system (Diniah Darmut Madrasah), (4) life skills or organizational education system (Scout, PMR, Calligraphy, Hadrah etc). b). Islamic boarding schools have educational units that include the national curriculum, as well as mental stabilization of the students to face this era of increasingly rapid globalization by holding organizational activities such as scouts and PMR to add to the social sense of the students. c). Pondok Pesantren Darul Muta`allimin Tanah Merah Aceh Singkil has two forms of dynamics in its education system, namely physical and non-physical, for physical forms such as building construction and equipping facilities for education and for non-physical forms, namely institutional renewal and curriculum renewal (from only using the form of a book recitation system in general to using the government curriculum or there are class gaps in formal and non-formal schools). as well as the mental stabilization of the students to face this increasingly rapid era of globalization by holding organizational activities such as scouts and PMR to add to the social sense of the students. c). Pondok Pesantren Darul Muta`allimin Tanah Merah Aceh Singkil has two forms of dynamics in its education system, namely physical and non-physical, for physical forms such as building construction and equipping facilities for education and for non-physical forms, namely institutional renewal and curriculum renewal (from only using the form of a book recitation system in general to using the government curriculum or there are class gaps in formal and non-formal schools). as well as the mental stabilization of the students to face this increasingly rapid era of globalization by holding organizational activities such as scouts and PMR to add to the social sense of the students. c). Abstract

This research investigates curriculum management implementation at a private MTs (Islamic junior high school) in Pantai Cermin sub-district, Serdang Bedagai Regency. Curriculum management is a systematic and cooperative process aimed at achieving educational goals. It operates at two levels: school-wide and classroom. The headmaster plays a key role at the school level, while teachers are crucial at the classroom level. This qualitative descriptive study utilized interviews, observations, and document reviews to gather primary and secondary data. The study involved the principal, deputy principal, teachers, and students as informants. The findings reveal that curriculum management at the school begins with thorough planning and successful implementation. The curriculum used is the 2013 curriculum, enriched with local wisdom and life skills education. External and internal factors support the process, while challenges include some educators' lack of professionalism, passive teaching methods, and substandard teaching tools. The curriculum management strategy focuses on developing a curriculum tailored to the students' and school's specific needs. The implementation has improved education quality, enhanced staff performance, increased public awareness of education's importance, optimized resource management for educators, and encouraged continuous innovation among teachers.
