Abstract

Abstract: A community service activity was carried out in Batu Bolong Village, Batu Layar Barat Subdistrict, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, with the theme of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The activity was carried out in collaboration with the Batu Bolong Sejahtera Farmer Group, a local organization that specializes in the collection of palm sap from within forest ecosystems and its subsequent processing into brown sugar. Previously, the partners utilized wood-fired stoves for the outdoor processing of palm sap, a practice that compromised product hygiene. Furthermore, the products' packaging method is substandard, utilizing solely white plastic bags, which renders them vulnerable to contamination. Therefore, the objective of this community service initiative was to educate the partners on the implementation of CPPOB in the production process of moulded brown sugar. It is imperative for food and beverage businesses to possess a comprehensive understanding of CPPOB, as it serves as a prerequisite for obtaining a PIRT distribution permit. This community service method employed the Participatory Action Research technique, in which partners were actively involved in the community service activities. The measurement of the knowledge absorption of the participants (partners) was carried out by administering pre- and post-tests. The findings of the data analysis demonstrated a 40% increase in the participants' knowledge related to CPPOB material. In summary, the partners have comprehended the tenets of CPPOB and have implemented them in subsequent production processes.

Abstract

This study examines the role of a school-based learning community in strengthening teachers’ competencies in educational technology integration in a public lower secondary school located in an urban, resource-constrained educational setting. The school is characterized by high teacher participation in collaborative professional development initiatives aimed at supporting digital transformation. A mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was employed to obtain a comprehensive understanding of how collaborative structures contribute to teacher competency development. Quantitative data were collected through a survey administered to 21 active teacher members of the learning community. Qualitative data were gathered through in-depth interviews and classroom observations and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that technology integration remains influenced by contextual constraints, including limited digital literacy, infrastructure limitations, workload pressures, and policy support challenges. The learning community operates as a Professional Learning Community (PLC), facilitating collaborative inquiry, reflective dialogue, peer support, and structured professional learning activities. Participation in the community appears to support the development of teachers’ competencies within the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, particularly in integrating technology with pedagogy and subject content.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing the success of the transformation of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) into a sharia-compliant model in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province. Employing a Mixed Methods approach with a Sequential Exploratory design, this research integrates both qualitative and quantitative studies. The qualitative phase involved in-depth interviews with 7 key informants from BUMDes "Bareng Mele" to explore field challenges and practices. The findings indicate a strong commitment to sharia implementation but reveal obstacles such as communal accountability and a lack of a formal regulatory framework. The quantitative phase utilized a questionnaire distributed to 120 respondents to test the relationships between variables. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis show that Accountability, Implementation of Sharia Principles, and Regulatory Readiness have a significant simultaneous and partial effect on the Success of Sharia BUMDes Transformation. This study concludes that the success of the sharia BUMDes transformation requires a synergy between local commitment and structured regulatory support, as well as the formalization of accountability practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of utilizing Digital Interactive Boards (PID) and the Ruang Murid Platform (Student Room Platform) in the digitalization of Early Childhood Education (ECE). This study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were obtained from scientific journals, books, and relevant research articles, then analyzed descriptively and analytically. The findings show that the utilization of PID and the Ruang Murid Platform is able to create more interactive and varied learning, support children’s learning engagement, and strengthen communication between teachers and parents. However, the implementation of digitalized learning in ECE still faces challenges, including limited teachers’ digital competence, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and low parental involvement in the use of digital platforms. In addition, the use of technology in ECE needs to be implemented proportionally so that it does not reduce children’s social interaction, play activities, and concrete learning experiences. Therefore, collaboration among teachers, parents, and educational institutions is needed to optimize sustainable digital-based learning in ECE.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires Islamic educational institutions to adapt their managerial systems without neglecting Islamic values as their foundational principles. However, previous studies tend to examine Islamic educational resource management and digital transformation separately, resulting in the absence of a systematic integrative model. This article aims to formulate a value-based and digitally integrated model of Islamic educational resource management as a strategic framework to enhance institutional effectiveness and sustainability. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research through thematic analysis of recent literature on Islamic education management and digital transformation. The findings reveal that the proposed integrative model consists of four main dimensions: value dimension (trustworthiness, integrity, and professionalism), strategic managerial dimension (planning, recruitment, development, and evaluation), digital transformation dimension (digital governance and digital literacy), and sustainability and quality dimension. The integration of these dimensions forms an adaptive, value-oriented, and competitive management framework for Islamic educational institutions in the digital era. This model contributes conceptually to the systematic development of Islamic education management aligned with contemporary challenges.

Abstract

School-Based Management (SBM) plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of madrasah governance and performance. However, in practice, community involvement is often limited to administrative and financial support, and thus has not yet fully functioned as a strategic force in the development of educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the concept of community participation in the implementation of SBM, identify its forms and roles in madrasah management, examine its contribution to improving madrasah performance in the era of modern education, and identify the factors that support and hinder community participation. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research, drawing from scientific journal articles, academic books, educational policy documents, and relevant prior research findings. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques through the processes of identification, selection, categorization, interpretation, and synthesis of information. The study findings indicate that community participation in the implementation of MBS is realized through involvement in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of educational programs, as well as by fulfilling the roles of advisory agency, supporting agency, controlling agency, and mediating agency. Such participation contributes to improved madrasah performance through strengthened governance, increased transparency and accountability, the development of innovation, expanded resource support, and enhanced public trust. Factors supporting community participation include participatory leadership, effective communication, community awareness of the importance of education, a culture of mutual cooperation, and the active role of the madrasah committee, while inhibiting factors include the community’s limited understanding of MBS, economic constraints, weak coordination, and the suboptimal functioning of the madrasah committee. The novelty of this research lies in the perspective that positions community participation as a catalyst for improving madrasah performance, rather than merely a supporting element for MBS implementation; thus, strengthening the partnership between madrasahs and the community becomes a crucial strategy in realizing effective, adaptive, and quality-oriented educational governance in the era of modern education. Keywords: Community participation, School-Based Management (SBM), madrasah performance, modern education.
