Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study analyzes the protection of workers' rights in the Indonesian Manpower Law, focusing on basic workers' rights, implementation challenges, and recommendations for improving effectiveness. The method used is normative juridical with qualitative data analysis. The study results indicate that although labor regulations are available, their implementation is still weak. Minimum wages are often unmet, especially in the informal sector, due to weak supervision and low worker awareness of their rights. Social security is hampered by low company compliance and administrative constraints, while occupational safety and health (K3) standards are poorly implemented, as seen from the high number of work accidents. The right to leave, rest time, and freedom of association are also often ignored, with union busting still rampant. This study recommends stricter supervision, increased worker literacy, and collaboration between the government, employers, and trade unions to improve the implementation of regulations. These steps are expected to enhance the protection of workers' rights, support their welfare, and encourage sustainable economic growth. Keywords : Protection, Workers' Rights, Employment Law.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the stability of global economic flows and threatened the business of companies in the world. The purpose of this study is to analyze the existing condition of the financial performance of Saung Dolken Resort and Hotel for the period 2018 to 2022 and benchmarking with the hotel sub-sector industry, analyze the level of potential bankruptcy (financial distress) of SDO in Indonesia during the Covid-19 period, and formulate a financial performance model. This study aims to find out what factors affect SDO's financial performance which is proxied with return on equity (ROE) based on independent variables from the Dupont analysis components, namely: ATO: asset turnover ratio, LEV: financial leverage, TaxB: tax burden, IntB: interest burden, OPM : operating profit margin, and EM : Equity Multiplier (EM) Adjustment. The study examines Saung Dolken Resort and Hotel's financial performance from 2018-2022 using descriptive analysis and Du Pont Analysis, identifying strengths and weaknesses for investors. The results show that the period before and during the co-incidence period showed a significant decrease in ROE caused by a decrease in ATO, Asset Turnover, and LEV, followed by an increase in TaxB and intB. The strategy includes profit margin optimization, asset turnover improvement, and equity multiplier adjustment.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Tuberkulosis (TB) adalah suatu penyakit kronik menular yang disebabkan oleh Bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Yobeanto & Setiawan, 2022). Keberhasilan pengobatan merupakan salah satu indikator dalam pelayanan TB. Salah satu masalah dalam pengobatan TB adalah kepatuhan dalam menjalani pengobatan, berdasarkan tingkat keberhasilan pengobatan TB mengalami penuruan. Penyebab ketidakpatuhan mengikuti pengobatan TB disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu pendidikan, pekerjaan, jarak, PMO, dan motivasi, dampak yang akan terjadi jika penderita berhenti minum obat adalah munculnya kuman TB paru yang resisten terhadap obat jika ini terus terjadi dan kuman tersebut terus menyebar maka pengendalian TB paru akan semakin sulit dilaksanakan. Berdasarkan hasil survey pendahuluan yang dilakukan penyebab putus minum obat adalah karena jarak rumah ke puskesmas cukup jauh berjarak kurang lebih 10 km dengan kondisi jalan yang rusak. Tujuan: Menganalisis Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Kepatuhan Minum Obat Anti Tuberkulosis Pada Pasien TB Paru Di Puskesmas Samuda dan Bapinang Kotawaringin Timur. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Korelasional dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah 33 responden. Hasil: Berdasarkan Hasil uji Chi-Square didapatkan P Value faktor pekerjaan 0.698, faktor pendidikan 0.471, faktor jarak 0.277 > 0.05 maka H1, H2, H3 ditolak sehingga tidak ada hubungan dengan kepatuhan minum obat. Pada faktor PMO 0.000 dan faktor motivasi 0.000 < 0.05 sehingga H4 dan H5 diterima maka ada hubungan PMO dan motivasi dengan kepatuhan minum obat. Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan faktor PMO, faktor Motivasi dengan Kepatuhan Minum Obat namun tidak ada hubungan faktor Pendidikan, faktor Pekerjaan dan faktor Jarak dengan Kepatuhan Minum Obat pada pasien TB.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Analyze the competencies needed by the current automotive industry in the Automotive Industry, 2) Analyze the implications of the automotive industry's needs for the automotive technology vocational education curriculum, and 3) Analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of the partnership program for the automotive technology vocational education study program. The subjects of this research were 5 practitioners consisting of: Service Manager, Instructor, Service Advisor, and Mechanic from the Business and Industrial World (DUDI) in the automotive sector in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, documentation and interview methods. The research instrument was validated through expert judgment. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis with the triangulation method to obtain data validity. The research results show that: 1) the competencies required by the current automotive industry for undergraduate graduates include technical competency and managerial competency; 2) The need for technical and managerial competency demands that curriculum study materials be adapted to industry needs; 3) Supporting factors for the partnership program include: complete industrial facilities and infrastructure and adequate human resources (HR). The inhibiting factors for the partnership program are: the absence of an MoU between agencies and difficulties in preparing schedules.

Abstract

Polyps are masses that project into the gastrointestinal tract, common in childhood, affecting about 1% of preschool and school-age children. They are the leading cause of rectal bleeding in children aged 2 to 5. Adenomatous polyps, found in less than 3% of children with polyps, are often discovered incidentally. In this case, they were found alongside midgut malrotation volvulus, diagnosed late. An 8-year-old boy presented with worsening abdominal pain over the last month, which was intermittent and position-dependent. The pain was accompanied by explosive diarrhea, bloating, and a sensation of water moving in the abdomen when changing position. He also experienced daily vomiting, nausea, and a decrease in appetite. During treatment evaluation, midgut malrotation volvulus was detected along with familial adenomatous polyposis in the small intestine and colon. Early detection could have improved the prognosis, which is better when identified sooner. Once histopathology results are available, it will be determined if chemoprevention is necessary or if regular check-ups are sufficient.

Abstract

Javanese, a regional language in Indonesia spoken by over 100 million people, is classified as a low-resource language, presenting significant challenges in the development of effective speech recognition systems due to limited linguistic resources and data. Furthermore, the presence of noise is a significant factor that impacts the performance of speech recognition systems. This study aims to develop a speech recognition model for the Javanese language, focusing on a syllable-based approach using Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) for audio feature extraction and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) methods for classification. Additionally, it will analyze how different types of colored noise: white gaussian, pink, and brown, when added to the audio, impact the model's accuracy. The results showed that the proposed method reached a peak accuracy of 81% when tested on the original audio (audio without any synthetic noise added). Moreover, in noisy audio, model accuracy improves as noise levels decrease. Interestingly, with brown noise at a 20 dB SNR, the model's accuracy slightly increases to 83%, representing a 2.47% improvement over the original audio. These results demonstrate that the proposed syllable-based method is a promising approach for real-world applications in Javanese speech recognition, and the slight accuracy improvement in noisy conditions suggests potential regularization effects

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of dynamic curriculum implemented by Vocational High School (VHS) Mitra Industri MM2100 in revitalizing its graduates. It was conducted using the qualitative descriptive method at VHS Mitra Industri MM2100 and the object was how VHS Mitra Industri MM2100 implemented a dynamic curriculum. The data were obtained by using a questionnaire, through document studies and observation, and by interviewing principals, deputy principals, heads of departments, and productive teachers. The findings show that VHS Mitra Industri MM2100 implements a dynamic curriculum that always changes according to the development of science, technology, and the needs of graduate users so that the output is in accordance with the expectations and competencies required. The stages of implementing the dynamic curriculum include (1) establishing a learning flow in accordance with the school's vision and mission, (2) involving the industrial sector in curriculum preparation, (3) creating an industrial world ecosystem in the school, (4) adapting the curriculum to changes in the industrial sector and government policies, (5) involving parents in the teaching-learning process maximally, and (6) monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the curriculum on a regular basis by involving all relevant stakeholders. The implementation of a dynamic curriculum at VHS Mitra Industri MM2100 shows the results that match the expectations and competencies needed by the industrial sector, as evidenced by the 100% absorption of graduates for work specialization.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of working capital components such as accounts receivable turnover, inventory turnover, debt turnover, and the cash conversion cycle on profitability. The research data uses financial reports for food and beverage sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2017-2021 period. The statistical tool used is Stata with secondary data types. The result of this research indicates that inventory turnover and the cash conversion cycle has a negative effect on profitability, while debt turnover has a positive effect on profitability and accounts receivable turnover has no effect on profitability. The board of management needs to manage working capital efficiently to maintain the company’s sustainability.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the relationship between capital structure, profitability, company size and company growth and company value. This research utilizes data that has been adjusted to research criteria sourced from financial reports for the food and beverage industry for the 2018-2022 period. Data collection used a purposive sampling method with exploratory steps, where this research utilized 90 samples from a total of 18 companies over a 5 years period, using the Eviews10 statistical application. The results of this research reveal that capital structure has a positive relationship with company value, profitability is positively correlated with company value, company size is not correlated with company value and company growth has no evidence of having an influence on company value.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a moderating variable on determinants of a bank’s profitability listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This study used secondary data from banking annual reports listed in IDX during 2018-2021, with a total of 100 data from 25 banking companies that met the purposive sampling criteria. The data were analysed using moderated regression analysis with STATA software. This study found that simultaneously, Non-performing Loan (NPL), Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Third Party Funds (TPF), and Cost Efficiency have a significant impact on profitability. While individually, GCG has a significant negative effect, NPL has an insignificant negative effect, Third Party Funds has a significant positive effect, and Cost Efficiency has a significant negative effect on profitability. Furthermore, this study found that CSR has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between TPF and profitability, but CSR has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between Cost Efficiency and profitability. On the other hand, CSR was unable to moderate the relationship of NPL and GCG to profitability. This study contributes to the literature by suggesting the implementation of CSR not only as a compliance to regulation but also as a strategy to increase banking financial performance.
