Abstract

Character education is an effort or action that is carried out intentionally and planned to help someone so that that person can understand, pay attention to, and implement true ethical values so that he can become a useful individual. One way to shape student character is through inculcating Islamic values in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subjects. The purpose of this research is that madrasa students can have good character education and uphold Islamic values through learning Islamic Cultural History which has been taught in madrasas. This research uses the method of literature study or library research. The result of this study is that Islamic cultivation to shape student character can be done through Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subjects because the material in this subject is very complex including the history of past events where we can emulate the attitude of role models in the present.

Abstract

SKI learning in madrasas involves various social contexts and goes beyond just the transfer of historical knowledge. Religious moderation is an important outcome of religious education in Indonesia, and primary and secondary education are prerequisitesfor continuing to higher education. In this context, educational institutions have an important role in instilling and implementing the values of religious moderation. This study aims to describe the urgency of the value of religious moderation in learning Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). The method used in this study is a literature review by accessing various relevant sources through Google Scholar with a minimum of 5 years published reference articles. The results of the study show that religious moderation is a balanced religious attitude between exclusive religious practices and respect for other people's religious practices. Religious moderation is the key to creating tolerance and harmony in society. SKI learning at MI can be a means to develop religious moderation values in students. By incorporating religious moderation in SKI learning, it is hoped that students can treat each other with respect, accept differences, and live in peace and harmony.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the condition of the Indonesian state which is currently facing a covid-19 virus pandemic, requiring students to study at home, in order to avoid and break the chain of virus spread. It is in Arabic worksheets or printed books, but the readiness of schools in conducting distance learning activities is still lacking so that learning is felt to be less effective. This paper aims to describe the results of research in implementing learning Arabic for class IV remotely using Liveworksheets media at MI Al-Baidlo East Jakarta, writing methods with research and model development methods, research subjects to 27 fourth grade elementary school students in Arabic lessons. , data obtained through questionnaires and interviews and then analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the model development show a very significant effectiveness, which means that the use of liveworkhseets is very effective in improving student learning outcomes.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kondisi negeri Indonesia yang saat ini sedang menghadapi pandemi virus covid-19, mengharuskan siswa untuk belajar di rumah, guna menghindari dan memutus rantai penyebaran virus, Kenyataan dilapangan, bahwa siswa cenderung sudah merasa bosan dengan model pembelajaran hanya diberikan tugas yang ada dalam lembar kerja atau buku cetak bahasa Arab, akan tetapi kesiapan sekolah dalam menyelenggarakan kegiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh dirasa masih kurang sehingga pembelajaran dirasa kurang efektif. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil penelitian dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran bahasa Arab kelas IV secara jarak jauh dengan menggunakan media Liveworksheets di MI Al-Baidlo Jakarta Timur, metode penulisan dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan model, subjek penelitian kepada 27 siswa kelas IV SD pada pelajaran bahasa Arab, data diperoleh melalui angket dan wawancara lalu dianalisis secara dekriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil pengembangan model menunjukan efektifitas yang sangat signifikan, yang bermakna penggunaan liveworkhseets sangat efefktif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has undergone major changes over time, influenced by social, political, and cultural factors. The role of teachers has also evolved, not only as teachers, but also as innovators and motivators. The demands for professionalism are increasing, including mastery of technology, increasing pedagogical competence, and strengthening character and professional ethics. This study aims to analyze the evolution of the role of educators in the era of modernization that has an impact on increasing the professionalism of educators, as well as strategies that can be applied in its development. The research method used is the Qualitative Research Method, with an approach used to gain a deeper understanding of social phenomena by analyzing non-numerical data. The results of the study show that the development of professionalism of educators can be carried out through ongoing training, the application of technology in learning, and collaboration in professional communities. With continuously improving professionalism, educators are able to create a learning ecosystem that is more adaptive, innovative, and in accordance with the needs of 21st century education

Abstract

Facial image processing technology is developing rapidly and is used in various fields, one of which is for human age group classification. As we age, the face experiences changes such as wrinkles, bone structure, and facial proportions. This recognition process faces challenges, such as variations in texture, lighting, expression, and fine wrinkles that are difficult to detect automatically. An optimal feature extraction method is needed to improve the accuracy of age group classification. This study aims to classify age groups based on facial images using a computer system, as well as to determine the accuracy in real time and photo input. The methods used are Gabor Filter and Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) as feature extraction and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) as a classification algorithm. The system is designed to operate in real time and photo input, with fast and efficient classification results. The dataset consists of 2,500 facial images, divided into five age groups, each consisting of 500 images. A total of 50 images from each age group are used as test data. The system classifies images into five age groups, namely toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. The research results showed an accuracy of 74% for the real-time system and 76% for the photo input system.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan agar peserta dapat menyelenggarakan dinamika kelompok dalam program Bimbingan dan Konseling bagi siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Bimbingan dan Konseling ini dapat membantu menyelesaikan atau mencegah permasalahan pada siswa di sekolah maupun dalam keluarga. Adapun metode penerapan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah ceramah, demontrasi dan latihan sederhana dalam menerapkan dinamika kelompok dalam program bimbingan dan konseling yang dilakukan oleh guru Sekolah Dasar bagi siswa di sekolah. Sasaran kegiatan pelatihan dalam mengiplementasikan program bimbingan dan konseling melalui dinamika kelompok ini adalah para guru pendidikan Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Kerinci Kanan. Sistematika rencana kegiatan (a) guru pendidikan Sekolah Dasar memahami konsep dasar bimbingan dan konseling, (b) konsep dasar dinamika kelompok di Sekolah Dasar, (c) Praktik sederhana pelaksanaan program bimbingan dan konseling (jenis-jenis pelayanan BK) yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa di sekolah dasar (d) Diskusi dan tanya jawab untuk membahas dan menjelaskan hal-hal yang kurang dipahami oleh peserta sebagai umpan balik bagi pelatih

Abstract

Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) is an active topic of conversation on Twitter, but customer sentiment patterns towards the bank's services have not been quantitatively analyzed. This study performs positive and negative sentiment classification on 24,401 Indonesian tweets collected on May 17, 2023. The preprocessing stage includes text cleaning, nonstandard word normalization, stopword removal, and stemming with the Sastrawi library. The data was labeled based on the affection dictionary and verified manually. Text representation is done with word frequency-based unigram-bigram method using CountVectorizer, then trained using Multinomial Naive Bayes algorithm. Evaluation of the model against test data resulted in an accuracy of 94%, with precision, recall, and F1-score of 93% each. Words that commonly appear in positive sentiments include easy and fast service, while negative sentiments are dominated by the words error and maintenance. These results show that the Naive Bayes-based approach and word frequency representation are effective for rapid analysis of public opinion towards BSI on social media.

Abstract

Education in the age of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires teachers to become innovative; teachers need to be able to adapt science and technology innovations to learning trends in the classroom. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach is an alternative learning approach that allows students to have the complete skills desired by 21st century learning. Utilizing the STEM approach in a learning environment allows several topics to be effectively learned in a grade II elementary classroom. One STEM approach used ‘Potatoes in My Head’, has learners learn about food ingredients, using measuring instruments, as well as basic techniques of engineering. This paper is the result of best practices carried out by the teacher in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year and involved 29 second grade students at a public elementary school in Bukittinggi, Indonesia. The aim is to see the improvement of students’ learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. The knowledge was gathered through observation strategies and assessments of learning outcomes. The findings showed that the STEM approach in the Potatoes in My Head operation helped enhance learning outcomes and the students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Sejarah dan kebudayaan Islam merupakan bagian penting dari pembentukan identitas dan nilai-nilai moral dan pendidikan karakter siswa, Guru sebagai pendidik profesional memiliki tanggung jawab untuk tidak hanya mentransfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai yang dapat membentuk karakter siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran profesional guru dalam menanamkan karakter kecintaan terhadap sejarah dan kebudayaan Islam pada siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, dimana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru, dan analisis dokumen kurikulum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru dalam menanamkan kecintaan terhadap sejarah dan kebudayaan Islam meliputi: penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kreatif dan kontekstual. Integrasi nilai-nilai sejarah dan kebudayaan Islam dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sehari-hari, keteladanan guru dalam sikap dan perilaku yang mencerminkan penghargaan terhadap sejarah dan kebudayaan Islam. Serta kolaborasi dengan orang tua dan masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa guru memegang peran kunci dalam membentuk karakter siswa melalui pendekatan holistik dan integratif, sehingga siswa tidak hanya memahami sejarah dan kebudayaan Islam secara kognitif, tetapi juga menginternalisasi nilai-nilainya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai sejarah dan kebudayaan Islam dalam kurikulum serta perlunya dukungan dari berbagai pihak untuk menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang kondusif

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman dan kemajuan teknologi memberikan tantangan signifikan dalam pendidikan agama Islam, khususnya dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik yang kokoh di tengah arus globalisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan strategi efektif yang dapat diterapkan guru PAI dalam menghadapi tantangan tersebut guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan karakter peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literature dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber jurnal dan literature relevan yang membahas perkembangan pendidikan di era modern. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan kompetensi pedagogic, professional, dan sosial guru sangat penting, serta penguasaan teknologi digital dapat meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembelajaran, pemahaman, dan motivasi peserta didik terhadap nilai-nilai Islam. Selain itu, kolaborasi yang baik antara guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat juga berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter religius dan moral peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang relevan dan adaptif dalam pendidikan agama Islam di masa mendatang
