Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview and explain more clearly about interactive games as a learning medium in Early Childhood. This study uses a literature review research method, which is a research approach that involves the collection, analysis, and synthesis of various literature sources relevant to a particular topic. Applying the method by conducting an in-depth literature review to uncover interactive games as a learning medium in early childhood. The data used was obtained from various sources such as scientific articles, journals, and relevant books, which were accessed through the Google Scholar platform. The analysis was carried out by reviewing and interpreting the results of previous research on interactive games in the context of education. This method focuses on an in-depth exploration of how interactive games can form an optimal learning environment to hone thinking skills in early childhood. The results that have been done in four article manuscripts containing interactive games as a learning medium, the essence of the content of the four articles is really extraordinary because it clearly discusses the advantages and disadvantages of integral games in general as a learning medium. In particular, the difference lies in the explanation of the starting point, the importance of understanding or several stages that can be passed as a learning medium. Ultimately, however, it is up to readers, practitioners and researchers to carefully examine the characteristics of interactive games as a learning medium and make decisions about which interactive games should be chosen for the learning media process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pregnancy rate resulting from artificial insemination of Bali cattle with different semen depositions. The research method used was a field experiment with three treatments: semen deposition at positions 3, 4, and 4+ (right side/dexter side). Pregnancy rate data were evaluated through Non-Return Rate (NRR1 and NRR2), Service per Conception (S/C), and Conception Rate (CR). The study was conducted on 120 Bali cattle in Bulukumba District, South Sulawesi. The results showed an increase in NRR in semen deposition 3, 4, and 4+ during the observation period of NRR 31 – 60. Although some breeders reported arousal symptoms late, the increase in NRR indicates a good understanding of arousal detection. Semen deposition at position 3 produces the lowest NRR, which can be caused by reproductive function abnormalities, silent heat, endometritis, or late reporting by farmers. The results of the S/C evaluation showed the lowest value and the highest of CR at semen deposition 4, which means that the semen deposition was closer to the fertilization site. Semen deposition at positions 4+ on dexter side althrough closer to the fertilization site was lower results of CR than posisition 4, because sperma only toward in right tubafolopii. The effectiveness of AI is significantly impacted by accurately detecting and timing the insemination process based on the ovulation period. This study provides important information regarding AI techniques in Bali cattle that can be used to increase the population and genetic quality of beef cattle in Indonesia.

Abstract

In Indonesia, there are three housing systems: sometimes open, semi-closed and closed. This study aimed to analyze the effect of microclimatic conditions, NH3, and E. coli levels on broiler productivity in open, semi-closed, and closed houses during the dry season. The research took place in June - August 2019, when the air temperature was 28°-34°C during the day, while at night, the air temperature was around 21°-25°C with rainfall < 60 mm/month. The material used was the Lohmann strain broiler. Observations were made in six house units consisting of two open house units with a total of 5,000 chickens/house unit, two semi-closed units with a total of 18,000 chickens/house unit, and two closed house units with a total of 33,000 chickens/house unit. This research is survey research, with the experimental parameters being temperature (oC), humidity (%), wind speed (m/s), NH3 (ppm) and E. coli (CFU/mL), body weight (g/bird), FI (g/bird/day), FCR, IP, mortality, and IOFC. Based on the study's results in open, semi-closed, and closed houses, there were differences (P<0.05) in temperature, humidity, wind speed, and NH3, whereas in E. coli they were not significantly different. In broiler productivity, the type of house affected body weight (P<0.05), while on FI, FCR, IP, mortality, and IOFC were not significantly different (P<0.05). The conclusion is that the range of temperature, humidity, and wind speed in all houses is still in the standard range of broiler maintenance. NH3 and E. coli levels were below the threshold that chickens could tolerate, although the highest levels were in closed houses. This affects the BW of broilers in open and semi-closed at weeks 1, 2, and 3, which is higher than in closed houses

Abstract

The development of hybrid sweet corn varieties involves the selection of parental lines with specific traits to ensure good yield potential. The selection of inbred lines of sweet corn is a critical aspect of breeding programs aimed at developing improved varieties. This research will provide useful information of sweet corn inbreed lines have the potential to be developed as parent lines in the development of hybrid varieties. The study utilized 24 inbred lines (G1-G24) of sweet corn and employed a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). Data analysis involved the use of analysis of variance with a 5% significance level, path and dendrogram analysis. Based on the analysis of 24 inbreed line of sweet corn, the potential for selecting parents based on quantitative traits influencing the outcome is evident in inbreed line G18, G12, G4, G23, and G20. Identification of these potential parents is essential for the genetic improvement of the population. The correlation heatmap data indicates a 41% correlation between the number of rows and cob stag length, and correlation between number of rows and ear diameter by 48%. The path diagram indicates that fresh weight, a crucial measure of crop yield, is strongly influenced by several agronomic traits, including plant height, ear length, ear diameter, dry weight, number of plants, row length, brix, and ear stalk. G24 can indeed be used as one of the parents with other group in hybrid breeding programs.
