Abstract

PAI material at various levels of high school has different characteristics compared to the levels below, namely in terms of content, weight, and deepening of the material both psychologically, philosophically, sociologically, and technologically. This article aims to discuss the use of flipped-classroom in PAI subjects at the high school level, to find out its implementation, disadvantages, advantages, and ethical issues that arise. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collected is from interviews with PAI class X teachers, based on interviews, it can be concluded that by using a flipped classroom, the advantage for PAI teachers is to become more skilled in the use of technology. Students are more independent and activate their time to study. But in the lack of flipped-classroom, teachers have become busier in preparing materials in the form of videos or oPPTsPT so that students can access them at home. As for students, their free time has become less. The challenge that arises is that PAI learning has long used the teacher center so that students can learn as well as get suri tauladan directly from the teacher's knowledge. Meanwhile, with flipped classrooms that use student center methods and technology, there are fewer opportunities for students to get knowledge transfer, value transfer, and character building from suri tauladan PAI teachers.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the strengthening of character education in madrasas. Character education is an essential theme in efforts to overcome social problems that often plague this nation. Character education is an alternative solution considered the most appropriate and must be applied in everyday life, including in madrasas. Madrasahs are seen as an influential place in efforts to form a child's positive personality after the family. Strengthening character education is a process of forming, transmitting, transforming and developing students' abilities to think, behave, and behave according to Pancasila values. Character education in madrasas has the function of selecting and sorting Indonesian culture and foreign cultures that are more civilized and respectable. As a manifestation of the National Movement for Mental Revolution (GNRM), namely changing patterns of thinking (mindset), attitude, and better behavior, religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation and high integrity we must instill it through strengthening character education, especially in madrasas so that all students know, understand, and apply to all aspects of life whenever and wherever they are. All of this can be realized if all stakeholders are involved in overseeing, running, supervising and evaluating all of these processes so that it becomes a positive culture in madrasas.

Abstract

Character education is vital in shaping individuals with quality traits, especially in the complexities of modern society. This research aims to explore how Islamic education values contribute to character development, focusing on behavior, attitudes, and morals of Muslim individuals. Utilizing a literature review methodology, the study delves into Islamic libraries or book collections to understand the role of faith in Allah, justice, equality, tolerance, and other values in shaping responsible, honest, and ethically strong characters. The findings reveal that Islamic teachings, rooted in faith in Allah, instill piety, devotion, and obedience, contributing to responsible and honest character formation. Values like justice, equality, and tolerance foster mutual respect, cooperation, and peace. Emphasis on ethics and morality results in characters with high integrity, prioritizing honesty, integrity, and responsibility. Islamic education further promotes lifelong learning, fostering individuals with open minds, creativity, and a passion for continuous improvement. The character of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W., encompassing shidiq, amanah, tabligh, and fatonah, serves as guiding principles. Integrating Islamic education values into character education is crucial for building a just, harmonious, and responsible society, necessitating joint efforts from educational institutions and families to reinforce and implement these values.
