Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema pelatihan pembuatan pakan ikan atau pelet, berbasis bahan dasar lokal di ekosistem gambut, bertujuan agar para pembudidaya mampu memiliki keterampilan dalam pengolahan pakan ikan secara mandiri, karena porsi terbesar dalam proses budidaya ikan adalah untuk pakan. Kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat disekitar ekosistem gambut masih bisa ditingkatkan, melalui budidaya ikan dalam kolam tanah, maupun kolam plastik/terpal, sehingga program revitalisasi ekonomi masyarakat bisa berjalan baik, dan berhasil meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Ketersediaan pakan terbatas, dengan harga yang cukup tinggi, menjadi permasalahan bagi para pembudidaya ikan, baik yang dikelola dalam kolam tanah, maupun kolam plastik/terpal, khususnya di Desa Bahaur Hulu Permai Kecamatan Kahayan Kuala Kabupaten Pulang Pisau. Pelatihan pengolahan pakan ikan menjadi pilihan, karena berbahan dasar lokal yang tersedia disekitar wilayah desa Bahaur Hulu Permai, terutama tepung ikan yang bisa dibuat sendiri oleh para petani dan keluarganya, berasal dari hasil tangkapan nelayan, terutama ikan-ikan kecil, yang tidak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat sekitar pesisir. Permasalahan utama kelompok masyarakat di Desa Bahaur Hulu Permai adalah tidak memiliki keterampilan membuat pakan secara mandiri, sehingga para pembudidaya perlu diberikan pelatihan, guna meningkatkan kemampuan, dan keterampilan dalam membuat pakan ikan sendiri, dengan pakan ikan bisa dikelola dan dibuat sendiri, maka diharapkan pembudidaya ikan tidak khawatir lagi dengan ketersediaan pakan bagi ikan yang diusahakan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kegiatan bahwa program ini sangat diminati oleh peserta, terbukti 76% dari peserta mampu mengolah sendiri pakan ikan berdasarkan bahan baku lokal yang tersedia di wilayah Bahaur Hulu Permai. Pelatihan pembuatan pakan ikan berbahan baku lokal, merupakan program pengembangan perikanan budidaya, sebagai upaya untuk kehidupan, dan kesejahteraan masyarakat, serta upaya pelestarian ekosisten gambut yang berkelanjutan. Community Training on Fish Feed Making in Bahaur Hulu Permai  Village, Pulang Pisau Regency Abstract The community service activity themed "Training on Fish Feed or Pellet Production Based on Local Ingredients in Peatland Ecosystems" aims to equip fish farmers with skills to independently process fish feed, as feed accounts for the largest portion of fish farming costs. The socioeconomic conditions of communities around peatland ecosystems can be improved through fish farming in earthen ponds or plastic/tarpaulin ponds. This program is designed to support economic revitalization efforts, aiming to enhance the community's economic well-being. Limited availability and high costs of fish feed present significant challenges for fish farmers, whether in earthen or plastic/tarpaulin ponds, particularly in Bahaur Hulu Permai Village, Kahayan Kuala Subdistrict, Pulang Pisau Regency. Training on fish feed production was chosen as a solution, utilizing locally available materials in Bahaur Hulu Permai, especially fishmeal that can be produced by farmers and their families. This fishmeal is derived from the catches of local fishermen, primarily small fish that are not consumed by the coastal community. The main issue faced by the community groups in Bahaur Hulu Permai Village is their lack of skills to independently produce fish feed. Therefore, training programs are necessary to enhance their capabilities and skills in making fish feed on their own. With the ability to manage and produce their own fish feed, farmers can alleviate concerns about feed availability for their aquaculture operations. Based on evaluation results, the program was well-received, with 76% of participants successfully producing fish feed using locally available raw materials in Bahaur Hulu Permai. This training program represents an initiative in aquaculture development, aiming to improve livelihoods and community welfare while contributing to the sustainable preservation of the peatland ecosystem.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the project financial management system at CV. Diana Concern. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the type of research being a case study. The data collection technique uses a triangulation process which is carried out by conducting interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that CV. Diana Concern, which is the object of this research, carries out financial management system activities, especially in project operations, not yet fully using financial system procedures which are the basis for internal control, so it requires improvements to the existing financial system. Where all financial activities are completely handed over to representatives from the subcontractors in each project. Transaction activities that are not recorded on time by ignoring forms or documents accompanying the transaction, as well as implementation orders that are not professionally organized, can cause financial reporting to be inaccurate, not timely and accountable

Abstract

The integration of L1 in English classrooms has become a debatable issue due to its potential benefits and drawbacks. This research is conducted to investigate the perceptions of the university students and teachers regarding the use of L1 in online grammar classes during the pandemic. The purposes of integrating L1 in the teaching process and the impacts of integrating L1 on the students will be explored systematically. The participants of this study are 91 university students and four grammar teachers in a private university in Indonesia. The data is collected from the closed-ended questionnaire for the students and teachers as well as from the interviews with some students and teachers. Thus, descriptive and content analysis are used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that most students and teachers have positive perception regarding the integration of L1 to certain extent in online grammar classes. This study presents the insights on various impacts of integrating L1 on the students and various purposes intended by the teachers.

Abstract

This aims to design a syllabus for "Vocabulary English for Nursing" book for occupational purposes with a specific focus on enhancing vocabulary acquisition, speaking proficiency, and pronunciation skills. This study utilizes ADDIE primarily focusing on the Analysis and Design stages. The syllabus results in ten units, each unit was designed to foster dialogue practices, simple expressions, and vocabulary enrichment. The learning competencies integrated into this syllabus align with the Independent User B1 of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment. The outcome of this study includes a designed syllabus for "Vocabulary English for Nursing" book and the organization of the book. Future research will cover the further stages.

Abstract

The variety of works of painting in each region creates high competition between one painter and another in marketing their products. Considering that in the 2000s, the development of the 'fine arts market' in Indonesia experienced very rapid growth, especially in the achievement of works and products. Bloomy Wooden Art is a company (home industry) which operates in the field of painting crafts using wood media which has been shaped into wall decorations, multi-purpose boxes, tissue boxes, trays, glasses, bowls, decorative tables, etc. The painting arts highlighted here are naturalistic such as flowers, fruit and natural beauty along with elements and animals. The aim of the service is to implement the strategy for developing wood painting craft MSMEs in West Jakarta. The method of implementing service is in 3 (three) stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. Theory in evaluation uses SWOT analysis to determine weaknesses, strengths, threats and opportunities. Based on the results of initial observations, Bloomy Wooden Art painting MSMEs are generally running well, but there are still shortcomings in terms of marketing aspects of wooden painting products using the social media Instagram which are not optimal, the availability of raw materials and supporting equipment and knowledge in the field of marketing.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a product in the form of a technology-based application to measure physical fitness test results. This research produced an application for measuring physical fitness test results. The study employed the ADDIE development research method, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.The research subjects were 30 students from junior high school 1 Indralaya, consisting of 20 male students and 10 female students. The study was validated by three experts: a karate sports test and measurement expert (94%, categorized as very feasible), a language expert (82%, categorized as very feasible), and an application expert (97%, categorized as very feasible), using questionnaires containing various questions. The average result from these three validations was 91%, indicating that the application for measuring physical fitness test results in the karate sports branch is feasible to use. However, based on the statistical trial results, the normality test was 0.233, the homogeneity test was 0.118, and the independent sample t-test was 0.118. These results led to the conclusion that the application-based measurement of physical fitness test results developed in this study is valid and effective, making it suitable for use in teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

Personal financial management in a student environment is an important aspect in forming good financial skills at an early age. This research aims to explore the application of personal financial management among students, assess their understanding of financial management, and identify challenges faced in daily practice. Issues raised include a lack of formal financial education, a lack of knowledge of budgeting, and unhealthy spending habits. The method used is descriptive qualitative, involving students from various classes and new students at tertiary institutions. Data was collected through a questionnaire designed to measure understanding and practice of personal financial management. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide useful insights for students and educational institutions in designing more effective financial education programs and helping students develop healthy financial habits. By implementing proper financial management, students are expected to be able to avoid financial problems in the future and become more financially independent individuals.

Abstract

Indonesia is expected to reach its demographic dividend peak by 2035. After this period, the productive-age population will transition into an ageing population, increasing dependency on the working-age group. This demographic shift demands holistic policies to create age-friendly work environments, empower the elderly, and ensure inclusive protection to sustain Indonesia’s economy. By 2050, the population aged 65 and above will reach 56 million, with life expectancy increasing to 79.64 years. In 2023, approximately 53.93% of Indonesia’s elderly population remained employed. Although Presidential Regulation No. 88/2021 addresses the National Elderly Strategy, it requires revision to enhance the empowerment and protection of elderly workers. Learning from other countries, ASEAN nations like Singapore and Malaysia have enacted re-employment laws for workers over 60. At the same time, Japan and South Korea implement re-employment programs, training, and workforce placement for the elderly. To address the ageing population, Indonesia must develop a comprehensive national strategy, including re-employment schemes, skill development, entrepreneurship, social protection, and the silver economy. A five-year roadmap (2025-2029) outlines the strategy’s phased implementation: strengthening policies and public awareness in 2025, program implementation in 2026, expansion of re-employment and entrepreneurship in 2027, silver economy development in 2028, and program sustainability by 2029.

Abstract

In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, people are required to have skills, knowledge, and abilities in various fields. Therefore, integrating 21st-century skills into the learning process is very important. Learning should emphasise critical thinking, creativity and innovation, collaboration, and communication. One method that can be used to enhance 21st-century skills is STEM learning based on the engineering design process. This community service activity was carried out over three months and was divided into four phases: the preparation phase, the planning phase, the implementation phase, and the evaluation phase. The results of the activity show that the majority of teachers at SMK Darul Muqomah have a good understanding of STEM learning based on the engineering design process. Overall, this training has been well executed. The participants stated that the training was beneficial and could expand their understanding of STEM learning based on the engineering design process. Specifically, this training provided an overview of the application of the STEM approach in school learning. All participants showed interest and willingness to implement STEM learning in their classes. However, it is important to note the challenges or obstacles in implementing the STEM approach in the classroom.

Abstract

There are several obstacles for dumbo catfish farmers that result in losses, one of which is disease.  Diseases caused by parasitic infections can cause irritation to external organs such as gills and skin. This can cause disruption of respiration and osmoregulation processes and reduce fish immunity.   The population of ectoparasites in fish in the aquatic environment can be monitored through the identification of parasites by calculating their prevalence and intensity.  This study aims to identify ectoparasites, analyze the prevalence rate, intensity of ectoparasite attacks that attack dumbo catfish.  Sampling for 5 times in one week for 20 working days with the number of samples to be obtained as much as the catch of 3 stations.  Ectoparasites found in dumbo catfish are Dactylogyrus sp, Trichodina sp, Chilodonella sp, and Oodinium sp. The highest prevalence value was found in Dactylogyrus sp at station III with a percentage of 100% with a very frequent infection category. The highest intensity value was Trichodina sp. at station II which was 24.4 individuals/head with moderate category. The dominating ectoparasite was Dactylogyrus sp. The number of infected dumbo catfish was 30 out of 30 samples tested.  In Dactylogyrus sp there were a total of 258 parasites, followed by Chilodonella sp with a total of 69 parasites from 30 samples, Oodinium sp had a total of 47 parasites and Trichodina sp had a total of 151 parasites from 30 samples.  Water quality parameters measured during the study showed good values for the growth of dumbo catfish in the rearing ponds.
