Abstract

Efforts to combat disease in farmed fish are typically done using antibiotics. However, long-term use of antibiotics can lead to disease resistance and environmental pollution. One herbal extract with potential as an immunostimulant is the soursop plant (Annona muricata L.). This study aims to understand the hematology of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) that were fed a diet mixed with soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata L.). The study design included four treatments and three repetitions, comprising treatment A (control), treatment B (2.5 g/kg feed), treatment C (5 g/kg feed), and treatment D (7.5 g/kg feed). The results showed that feeding a diet mixed with soursop leaf extract at a concentration of 7.5 g/kg feed (treatment D) could influence the increase in hematocrit levels by 26.11%, hemoglobin levels by 7.11 g/dl, and total leukocytes by 4.41 x 104 cells/mm3, but did not affect the total erythrocytes of tilapia.

Abstract

Bird Avifauna) is one of the biodiversity that has an important role in the ecosystem as a bioenvironmental indicator. The hunting activity and trade of birds occurred continuously making the existence and functions of the bird community threatened. One of the biodiversity programs of PT Pertamina International Refinery Unit VII Kasim is bird conservation in the Buffer zone area. This program was carried out in the middle of the Indigenous Peoples of the Moi Tribe Lemas. This research was conducted in January-February 2022, in the Buffer zone area of 38.5 ha. The research methods consist of preliminary surveys, location determination, counts of birds, determining animal conservation status (IUCN, CITES, PP), as well as observation of Program challenges to related stakeholders. The analysis used in this study includes the Ecological Index (H', R, E) and Descriptive Analysis of the implementation of programs based on related stakeholders. The results obtained that the index (H ') had a value of 3.74, index (R) with range of 1.02 and the index (e) with a range 0.02. Conservation status (IUCN Red List) obtained 1 type of bird being endangered, (CITES) had resulted with 14 species was forbidden for sale or noted, and 23 species of birds protected by Government Regulations of Indonesia. Whereas in the implementation of the program, it was concluded that the society of Moi Lemas was an important key in conservation programs in the company area and their suggestions must be used as part of the implementation of the program in the field. Abstract

Cooperative foreign language learning can be achieved by creating a video in a group. The purpose of this study is to discover university students’ perception of the implementation of creating collaborative video projects in English online learning during the pandemic situation. This study seeks to answer two research problems: first, the challenges that students face in the process of video creation; second, the benefits that they obtain from the video project. The data was contributed by 83 English Department students in a private university in Indonesia. For their final project, the participants were asked to create a group video related to the topics of learning materials. Two types of data collection were used in the study namely the open-ended questionnaire and the videos as the final products. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data. The findings show that students have faced several challenges in creating videos, especially technical preparation and time management; however, they have also benefited from the video project as they were immersed in autonomous learning. This study demonstrates that a video project is needed as it helps to foster students’ creativity, teamwork, and English language development.

Abstract

The group of Tempe craftsmen at Paguyuban Palju Bersinar is currently continuing despite the obstacles they face, such as unstable raw material prices, unstable selling prices, and the production of various foods from Tempe such as Tempe chips is also not optimal. This is because production is still done manually, thus affecting the production amount. So far, the focus is only on Tempe production, so there is a need for alternative solutions that can help members of the Tempe craftsmen to survive and increase their income. It is hoped that the use of a Tempe cutting machine can help craftsmen, especially in making Tempe chips, so that they get better production. The goal to be achieved from this community service is to empower people using cutting and frying tools, so that after training the craftsmen are able to produce their own Tempe chips and increase production quantities, ultimately they are able to sell their products more widely. There were 24 participants in this activity who were members of the Plaju Bersinar Association. The methods used were delivery of material, direct practice and training as well as pre-test and post-test evaluation, and monitoring. This activity showed that the participants were quite enthusiastic and gained knowledge and skills in using cutting and frying machines.

Abstract

The permitted dispensation of a child marriage has to have a deep and serious consideration. A child marriage due to the dispensation from the court still mostly happens in Indonesia. The age of marriage written in the law has been considered irrelevant. Due to that issue, Indonesia’s Woman’s Scholars Congress (KUPI) has successfully published the instructions of three big issues; sexual abuse, early-age marriage, and natural damage. This research took the focus on how the view and the role of Indonesia’s Woman Scholar is toward the phenomenon of a child marriage. This research was a qualitative-descriptive research that captured the view of the personage of Indonesia’s Woman Scholars. The premier data were taken from the result of interviews from three personages of KUPI, they were Dr. Nur Rofi’ah, Nyai Hj. Umdatul Choirat and KH. Husein Muhammad. The result of this research showed that Woman Scholars have come with the view that a kid born from a weak mother has the potential to give birth to a weak baby too. As the result, child marriage is far from gaining the real purpose of marriage. Therefore, it can be strongly inferred that minimizing child marriage is compulsary.
