Abstract

The family is the most fundamental social institution, playing a crucial role in shaping individual character and community resilience. In the context of globalization and the digital era, families face various challenges, such as moral crises, communication disruption, and the negative influence of social media, which demand a family concept that is not only harmonious but also resilient and adaptive. This study aims to analyze the concept and implementation of the sakinah family movement from Muhammadiyah's perspective as a foundation for building a progressive civilization. This study used a qualitative method with a library research approach, reviewing various literature sources including books, scientific journals, articles, and official Muhammadiyah documents. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify the concept, principles, and implementation of the sakinah family within the context of modern life. The results show that Muhammadiyah, as a modern Islamic movement, has a strong commitment to building society through strengthening the family institution. The concept of the sakinah family from Muhammadiyah's perspective emphasizes not only harmony but also the integration of the values of monotheism, justice, equality, and social responsibility. The sakinah family movement is realized through various development programs such as premarital guidance, Islamic parenting, economic empowerment, and family digital literacy. The implementation of this concept has proven effective in strengthening family resilience and shaping a generation with noble character and adaptability to changing times. Thus, a harmonious family becomes the primary foundation for building a civilized and progressive civilization.

Abstract

Abstract : The relationship between religion and the state in Indonesia is always interesting to discuss even though the First Principle of Pancasila explicitly mentions "Belief in One Almighty God", even this is included again in Article 29 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution. Formulation of the First Principle and Article 29 Paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution is of course the starting point for discussing the relationship between religion and the state. This research is different from previous studies related to the relationship between religion and the state. The point of difference is the aim of this research which focuses on the benefits obtained from the issue of the relationship between religion and the state from a legal historical perspective. The research results show that there is a close relationship between religion and the state in Indonesia even though it does not directly mention a particular religion in the 1945 Constitution or other statutory regulations. This relationship can be seen in several quotes from Soekarno's speech on 1 June 1945, the history of the birth of the principle of belief in one and only God, and the presidential decree on 5 July 1959. So, the view that Indonesia is a religiously neutral country is ahistorical. Keywords: Religion, State, Legal History

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to improve high school students' science process skills through simple food substance testing practicums based on direct experiments. The problems faced by partners are students' low understanding of the concept of food substances and the less than optimal implementation of Biochemistry practicums in schools due to limited laboratory facilities. The method of implementing the activity uses a participatory, educational, and learning-by-doing approach which is implemented through the preparation stage, material socialization, practicum, mentoring discussions of practicum results, and activity evaluation. The practicum was carried out by testing carbohydrate and protein content using simple materials that are easily obtained in the surrounding environment. The activity evaluation was carried out through pretests and posttests of science process skills and participant response questionnaires. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' science process skills after participating in the practicum, especially in understanding the concept of food substances, making observations, analyzing experimental results, and drawing scientific conclusions. In addition, the participant response to the activity was in the very good category because the practicum activity was considered interesting, interactive, and able to increase student interest and learning activity. Through this activity, students gained direct experience in applying scientific methods so they were able to improve critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Thus, simple experimental-based food substance testing practicums are effectively used as an effort to improve science process skills and the quality of Biochemistry learning in high school.

Abstract

Macroalgae are important marine biological resources that contribute to the stability of coastal ecosystems and provide significant economic value. This study aimed to identify macroalgal species and analyze their community structure in the coastal waters of Lamamek Village, West Simeulue District, Simeulue Regency. The study was conducted in December 2024 using an exploratory approach with purposive sampling at three stations representing different substrate characteristics. Sampling was carried out using the line transect method with a plot size of 1 x 1 m. Community structure was evaluated using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H'), evenness index (E), and dominance index (D), supported by measurements of temperature, salinity, pH, and dissolved oxygen (DO). Eight macroalgal species were identified, comprising four Chlorophyta (Caulerpa racemosa, Caulerpa taxifolia, Halimeda opuntia, and Chaetomorpha crassa) and four Phaeophyta (Sargassum polycystum, Sargassum crassifolium, Turbinaria ornata, and Padina australis), while no Rhodophyta species were recorded. Padina australis showed the highest abundance. The diversity index ranged from 1.38 to 1.89 (moderate), evenness from 0.97 to 0.99 (high), and dominance from 0.15 to 0.25 (low), indicating a relatively stable community with evenly distributed individuals and no dominant species. Water quality parameters were still within the appropriate range to support macroalgae growth, namely temperature 30.2-31.7°C, DO 6.07-6.40 mg/L, salinity 29-31‰, and pH 8.10-8.22. These findings provide baseline information for the management and conservation of coastal macroalgal resources in Simeulue Island.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a mathematics learning module based on the RBL model that incorporates Islamic values, specifically for the topic of compound probability. Additionally, the study seeks to determine whether the module is valid and effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding. This study was motivated by students' low conceptual understanding of compound probability and the limited availability of independent, Islamic value-integrated learning materials based on RBL syntax. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the 4-D model, which comprises the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The research subjects consisted of 22 students from class XI at MA IBS Riau. After data were collected using expert validation sheets and pre-test and post-test scores, a descriptive quantitative method was used to analyze them. The results showed that the developed module achieved an overall validity score of 84.29% (categorized as "very valid"). The effectiveness test yielded an average N-Gain score of 0.6914 (moderate category), with 77.3% of students achieving moderate-to-high learning gains and a classical mastery level of 54.55%. These results indicate that the RBL-based mathematics learning module, which incorporates Islamic values into the topic of compound event probability, possesses a satisfactory level of validity and effectiveness. They also demonstrate its suitability as an alternative resource for independent learning, particularly in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

The Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy developed by Anderson and Krathwohl (2001) classifies cognitive processes into six hierarchical levels from C1 (remembering) to C6 (creating), divided into lower-order thinking skills (LOTS) and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). The problem underlying this study was the lack of adequate examination of Indonesian language question quality on digital learning platforms based on the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy, leaving the extent to which these items measure students’ thinking skills uncertain. This study aimed to analyze the quality of Indonesian language test items on the Quizizz platform based on the cognitive levels of the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. A descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis method was applied to 40 multiple-choice Indonesian language test items for junior high school level, collected through documentation techniques and classified into C1–C6 levels and knowledge dimensions of the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. The results showed that cognitive level distribution was dominated by C2 (understanding) at 37.5% and C4 (analyzing) at 32.5%, while C1 (remembering) appeared only at 2.5%. The LOTS and HOTS proportion achieved a balanced ratio of 50:50, exceeding the minimum standard set by the Ministry of Education. In terms of knowledge dimension, items were dominated by conceptual knowledge (32.5%) and procedural knowledge (30.0%), while factual knowledge had the lowest percentage (17.5%). However, C3 (applying) representation remained low at 10.0%, indicating that the cognitive ladder from C1 to C6 has not yet been built in a fully gradual manner. It is concluded that the quality of Indonesian language test items on the Quizizz platform aligns with the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy in terms of LOTS-HOTS balance, although the distribution across cognitive levels, particularly C3, still requires improvement.
