Abstract

Soybean cultivation in tropical regions, such as Indonesia, is often constrained by photoperiod sensitivity, resulting in low yield. Using long juvenile traits in short photoperiod tropical areas resulted in lines with late flowering time and high yield. Genetic diversity analysis of soybean lines using molecular markers is a critical step for breeding high-yielding soybean lines. This study aimed to analyze genetic diversity and construct DNA barcodes for 44 tropical soybean superior lines based on 17 SSR markers. Genetic materials used were the high-yielding F5 soybean lines developed for their adaptation to short day-length of low latitude tropical regions. SSR markers used were those that distributed well across the soybean genome and proven their usefulness for soybean genetic diversity analyses. Results showed that the SSR demonstrated distinctive polymorphism among the 44 lines. A total of 377 alleles were detected with an average of 22.8 alleles per SSR locus. Polymorphism information content (PIC) values varied from 0.77 to 0.96 with an average of 0.90. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the 44 soybean genotypes were divided into 2 main clusters. Five markers, i.e., satt009, satt646, satt147, satt431, and satt191, with a polymorphism information content value of ≥0.94, were found to be informative and suitable for DNA barcode construction. Each of the 44 lines was assigned with specific barcodes. The barcodes constructed from this study should be useful for DNA fingerprinting as well as protection purposes of the specific superior soybean lines analyzed in this study. Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the result of using Small Group Discussion to activate the students to speak English. The method of this research was descriptive method. It aimed at describing whether or not the use of small group discussion activates the students to speak English. It employed two kinds of instruments: they were observation checklist and questionnaire. The sample was purposive sampling considering that class III Accounting 1 of nine classes namely: III AK 1, III AK 2, III AK 3, III SEK 1, III SEK 2, III SEK 3, III KOP 1, III KOP 2, and III PEN chosen. The sample consisted of 30 students taken from the third year students of Accounting Department of SMK Negeri 1 Bulukumba Academic year 2005/2006. The data collected were analyzed in mean score. To find out the significant result of the use of small group discussion, the researcher applied Likert’s attitude scale using percentage technique. The result of data analysis shows that the use of small group discussion activates the third year students of Accounting Department of SMK Negeri 1 Bulukumba to speak English. The students have positive attitude toward teaching speaking through small group discussion technique. The mean score of the students’ attitude from 20 statements was 82.73. In other words, the students have positive attitude toward teaching speaking through small group discussion.Keywords: activate student speaking, small group discussion

Abstract

Suspended sediment transport is an important phenomenon in the dynamics of drainage channel estuaries that can affect the morphological stability and quality of the aquatic environment. This study aims to analyze the pattern of sediment transport floating at the mouth of the drainage channel of Sungai Raya Dalam, peri-urban area, West Kalimantan Province. The methods used include water sampling, hydrodynamic measurements, and laboratory analysis to determine the concentration of suspended sediments. The results show that tidal variations and flow discharge have a significant effect on the distribution of floating sediment. During high tide, there is an increase in sediment concentration due to greater current turbulence, while at low tide, there is significant deposition. This study provides insights into more effective sedimentation management and drainage planning in estuarine areas. Based on the results of the study, the amount of sediment transportation floating in the drainage channel of Sungai Raya Dalam ranges from 0.008 kg/s to 0.143 kg/s.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strata (layers) of norms contained in the Elegi Sampah Garbage by Sri Setianingsih. The method used in this research is descriptive, while the approach used is a structural approach, namely an approach that trying to understand poetry from the elements inherent in poetry in the form of layers of norms in a poem poetry creation. Sources of data taken through the poetry anthology book Sajak Cermin by Sri Setianingsih entitled Elegi Sampah. The data analysis technique in this research is the content analysis. This technique tries to analyze documents to find out their contents and meanings contained in the document. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the result is to discuss the various strata (layers) of norms that contained in the poem Elegi Sampah by Sri Setianingsih. The strata (layers) of norms discussed These are the sound layer, the meaning layer, the object layer, the world layer and the metaphysical layer.

Abstract

Abstract− Traditional libraries with large collections will face difficulties in managing and controlling collections over time, because the number of collections tends to continue to increase. This causes users to take longer to find the information sources they need. In addition, access to the library is limited to the library's physical location and during certain operational times. Therefore, inclusive library services for the community require support from a computerized automation system that is ready to be used at any time, facilitating access to the required information sources. The location of this research was carried out at the Bima Muhammadiyah University Library, the aim of the research was to find out how the SliMS application was applied in technology management at the Bima Muhammadiyah University Library. This research used a descriptive quantitative design. The respondents in this research were students and the Bima Muhammadiyah University Academic Community as Library Members. totaling 155 people, the sampling technique in this research used random sampling. The data collection technique in this research was by observing, distributing questionnaires and documenting studies. Results of research conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach, Based on the research results, the application of the SLiMS application in technology management in the Bima Muhammadiyah University library is mostly positive. The Library Management Information System (SLiMS) application has become a popular solution for managing library collections digitally. Implementation of SLiMS in the Bima Muhammadiyah University Library is a strategic step to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of library services. The implementation of the SLiMS (Senayan Library Management System) application has a significant impact on the quality of services provided to library users. Abstract

This study investigates the application of Augmented Reality (AR) to improve environmental vocabulary acquisition in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Education 5.0. The objectives are to evaluate the effectiveness of AR in enhancing vocabulary acquisition and to explore students’ perceptions of AR-based learning. The study involved 72 eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 4 Labuhan Badas, Sumbawa, Indonesia. A mixed-methods approach was employed, integrating quantitative analysis of vocabulary test scores and qualitative insights from open questionnaires. Students interacted with a 3D AR application that visualized environmental vocabulary categories, including beach terms, marine life, and fishing gear. Quantitative results revealed a statistically significant improvement in vocabulary scores (mean difference = 9.903, p < 0.001, Cohen’s d = 1.69), indicating the substantial impact of AR intervention. Qualitative findings highlighted increased motivation, comprehension, and retention due to AR’s immersive and interactive learning features, though technical barriers such as unstable internet were noted. The study implies that AR fosters experiential and contextualized learning, addressing gaps in traditional EFL vocabulary instruction. Beyond educational enhancements, AR supports SDG 4 by advancing quality education and SDG 14 by raising environmental awareness. These findings underscore AR’s ability to create engaging learning environments that bridge theoretical knowledge and practical application. Further research should explore AR's applicability across diverse subjects, regions, and student populations to maximize its interdisciplinary potential and address technical challenges for effective integration in global educational systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of drills-based learning model on futsal dribbling skills in Indoviska Futsal Academy players of Indragiri Hilir Regency, as well as to test the interaction between training methods and player agility levels. The method used was an experiment with a two-track ANOVA design, with a sample of players divided by type of exercise and agility level (high and low). The results showed that the Drill-based learning model improved dribbling skills, with an average score of 15.58 compared to 17.38. In addition, there was an interaction between training methods and agility levels, where players with high and low agility showed better results with Shuttle Run training than Corner Drill. In conclusion, the drills-based learning model is influential in improving dribbling skills compared to Corner Drill, so it can be used as an alternative in futsal training programs.

Abstract

Overhead passing is a fundamental skill in volleyball that significantly influences game performance. Modified ball training is often used to enhance players' motor skills, but its effectiveness compared to non-modified training remains underexplored. This study aims to analyze the effect of modified and non-modified training on motor skills and its impact on overhead passing ability in the volleyball team of SMP Negeri 23 Kerinci. The study employs a quantitative experimental design with 16 volleyball players divided into two groups: modified ball training and non-modified training. Normality was tested using the Shapiro-Wilk test, and since the data were not normally distributed, the Mann-Whitney test and multiple linear regression were used for statistical analysis. The results indicate that modified ball training significantly improves overhead passing ability compared to non-modified training (p = 0.014). Players with higher motor skills showed greater improvement than those with lower motor skills. Regression analysis revealed that motor skills positively influence overhead passing (β = 0.506, p = 0.009), while modified training has a negative but significant effect (β = -0.564, p = 0.005), suggesting its effectiveness for players with higher motor skills. Coaches are encouraged to implement modified training to enhance volleyball players' technical skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh media power point terhadap minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran PAI di kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Sinjai, (2) Pengaruh media videoscribe terhadap minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran PAI di kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Sinjai, (3) Pengaruh media power point dan media videosribe terhadap minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran PAI di kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Sinjai. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik di kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Sinjai, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas VII yakni kelas VII A, VII B dan kelas VII C. Tekhnik pengambilan sampel yaitu Purposive Sampling yang merupakan bagian dari kelompok Nonprobability Sampling. Tekhnik pengambilan sampel ini tidak memberi kesempatan yang sama terhadap seluruh anggota populasi untuk dipilih menjadi sampel dengan adanya alasan tertentu. Adapun tekhnik pengumpulan data yaitu Angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini merujuk pada hasil analisis regresi sederhana dan regresi berganda yang menunjukkan bahwa: pertama, media power point berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran PAI di kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Sinjai dengan nilai thitung 4,020 > ttabel 1,662 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Kedua, media videoscribe berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran PAI di kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Sinjai dengan nilai thitung 3,875 > ttabel 1,662 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Ketiga, hasil analisis regresi berganda dengan menggunakan Uji F diperoleh nilai Fhitung > Ftabel yakni 12,550 > 3,100 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, maka dinyatakan bahwa variabel media power point dan videoscribe berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran PAI di kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Sinjai. Dengan presentasi sebesar 22,8 % sedangkan 77,2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Label halal dan harga terhadap keputusan pembelian kosmetik Wardah, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 mahasiswi Universitas Indonesia Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda dan uji t. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terlihat hubungan corelasi antara Keputusan Pembelian dengan dua variabel yaitu label halal dan harga. Corelasi yang paling terbesar terjadi antara keputusan pembelian dengan harga sebesar 0.382, sedangkan korelasi antara label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian sebesar 0.292. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa konsumen dengan sensitivitas harga yang tinggi cenderung lebih mempertimbangkan harga dalam keputusan pembelian mereka. Mereka mungkin mencari produk kosmetik halal yang menawarkan nilai terbaik atau diskon yang lebih sering. Ini terutama berlaku untuk konsumen dengan anggaran terbatas.
