Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine whether the “TIKASAN” Loose Parts media can enhance cognitive development and creativity in Group B. The research employed a quantitative approach with experimental methods, utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a singular treatment model. The study population comprised children aged 5-6 years in Group B at Putra Bangsa Kindergarten. The experimental group included 15 children in Class B1 and 15 children in Class B2. This research differs from prior studies by incorporating a unique medium, “TIKASAN.”  Research data collection involved observation, documentation, and research instruments. Statistical analysis utilized parametric homogeneity tests. The results indicate that: 1) “TIKASAN” Loose Parts media significantly influences cognitive development in Group B; 2) “TIKASAN” Loose Parts media positively impacts creativity development in Group B; 3) Overall, “TIKASAN” Loose Parts media has an influence on both cognitive development and creativity in Group B.

Abstract

The development of science and technology (Science and Technology) has an impact on all aspects of life. In addition to rapid development, changes are also happening rapidly. Therefore, humans need to adapt to obtain, manage and utilize science and technology (Science and Technology) proportionally. One of the media that can be used is the KIT media trainer. Trainer Kit is a tool (object) used to demonstrate certain facts, concepts, principles or procedures to make it look more real / concrete so that it can make it easier for students to understand the material taught. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the benefits of KIT media trainers. This type of research is a literature study, researchers review several articles and books related to KIT trainet media in their contribution to increasing student independence and understanding.

Abstract

Latar belakang pengabdian ini berfokus pada pentingnya pengelolaan sampah di lingkungan sekolah, khususnya di SDN 17 Tanjung Selamat, yang menghadapi permasalahan meningkatnya volume sampah. Dengan meningkatnya jumlah sampah, sekolah tidak hanya mengalami dampak negatif terhadap kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan, tetapi juga kesadaran siswa mengenai pentingnya pengelolaan sampah yang baik. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan sampah yang efektif di sekolah menjadi sangat krusial untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memperluas pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam pengelolaan sampah melalui pendekatan berbasis kearifan lokal. Melalui metode pelaksanaan pembelajaran partisipatif, siswa diharapkan dapat berperan aktif dalam kegiatan pemilahan sampah dan pengomposan. Metode ini tidak hanya mengedukasi siswa, tetapi juga mendorong mereka untuk terlibat secara langsung dalam praktik pengelolaan sampah yang berkelanjutan. Teknik analisis yang diterapkan meliputi pengukuran perubahan keterampilan siswa sebelum dan sesudah program melalui survei dan observasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan siswa, di mana kemampuan memilah sampah meningkat dari 20% sebelum program menjadi 85% setelah program dilaksanakan. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah bahwa integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pengelolaan sampah terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi siswa serta memberikan dampak positif bagi lingkungan sekolah. Program ini juga mendorong siswa untuk menerapkan praktik pengelolaan sampah yang baik di rumah mereka. Disarankan agar program ini dilanjutkan dan dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk memperluas dampaknya kepada masyarakat, serta melibatkan orang tua dan pihak terkait lainnya dalam upaya pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.  Kata Kunci: Edukasi Pengelolaan Sampah; Kearifan Lokal; Partisipatif; Lingkungan Berkelanjutan

Abstract

The tittle  of thesis is “Principal management to improve teacher’s performance and student’s achievement in junior high school  (SMP), Majalengka district (descriptive study in SMP Negeri Majalengka ).” The aim of this research is to find out how far the management of the principal is improving teacher’s performance and student’s achievement in SMP Negeri Majalengka”.  Implementation of this school management includes: input, process, and output. The subjects in the research were the principals, teachers, students, and the school commitees. This research use descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods in this research are interview, observation , and documentation.  After that proceed with data reduction, data presentation, conclusion/verification. The result of analysis and processing of data can be found that there are several problems with the implementation of headmaster management in SMP Negeri kabupaten Majalengka, they are  (1) the students have low spirit in learning, (2) Human resources lack understanding of the education system, (3) Another resources such as  device, incomplete equipment, and ineaduquate, (4) the sources of funds owned is very limited, and (5) The acquisition of a number of new students who register and are accepted at school is a decrease.  Problem solving efforts related to resources , they are (1) Given the guidance to the students and an intensive approach to parents to their children become more active in learning in and out of school,  (2) Ask the teacher to allowed the scientific forums, (3) Maximize the function and role of resources by using them as best as possible, (4)Submitba fuding proposal to the goverment or submit this issue to the school commitee to get a solution related to school funding, and (5) Conduct in depth studies on the decline in the number of new students who register and are accepted into the school. The implementation of the management of principals in SMP Negeri kabupaten majalengka, they are (1) the formation of a school committee , (2) Institutionally the management of the principal has not been able to increase the trust and interest of the community, thus impacting the decline in the number of new students, and (3) Be able to improve the security of the school environment.  The result of this research need to be reviewed and discussed  in  more depth, in order to produce the  best discovery.

Abstract

THE ROLE OF EDUCATORS IN INSTILLING THE VALUES OF HONESTY THROUGH CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION LEARNING IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTSThis study aims to describe the role of educators in instilling honesty values through Citizenship Education (Civics) learning to students and to explain the efforts of educators in instilling honesty values in students. This type of research is qualitative with the phenomenon of analysis and the meaning contained in the values of honesty. The data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation, then the data were analyzed with several steps of use, categorization, data intervention, then the data was validated by adding time and tringulation. The results showed that there were changes in attitudes and behavior, students did not cheat during tests on the site, returned library books on time, were able to honestly state the reasons when they came to school, were honest when studying in the canteen, became knowledgeable people. , disciplined, and sportsmanship.

Abstract

One of the challenges in Indonesia’s education is civic literacy. The concept of civic literacy can be a filter for citizens in dealing with various civic issues, especially in the field of education. Therefore, strengthening civic literacy needs to be given to civic education teachers to shape students into global-minded citizens. This article aims to analyze the strengthening of civic literacy in building the resilience of civics teachers, especially in facing post-pandemic era. This research was analyzed using qualitative methods with high school civic education teachers in Padang City as research informants. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing digital questionnaires, observation and interviews. The research results show that civic literacy plays an important role in strengthening teacher resilience. Civic literacy helps teachers sort information according to their mental and physical needs to adapt to post-pandemic learning. Through civic literacy, teachers are able to link civic issues with learning material and provide space for students to think critically. At the end of the research, it was revealed that strengthening civic literacy in building the resilience of civic education teachers in post-pandemic conditions has implications for increasing teacher self-confidence and teacher professional competence.

Abstract

Emotion is a psychological and physiological response to an event or stimulus. Understanding students' emotions helps teachers and educators interact more effectively with students and create a better learning environment. The importance of understanding students' emotions in the learning process has led to exploring the use of facial emotion classification technology. In this research, an ensemble approach consisting of ResNet, MobileNet, and Inception is applied to identify emotional expressions on the faces of school students using a dataset that includes emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, and boredom, acquired from students of Darul Imarah State Junior High School, Great Aceh District, Indonesia. Our dataset is available publicly, and so-called USK-FEMO. The performance evaluation results show that each model and approach has significant capabilities in classifying facial emotions. The ResNet model shows the best performance with the highest accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, which is 86%. MobileNet and Inception also demonstrate good performance, indicating potential in handling complex expression variations. The most interesting finding is that the ensemble approach achieves the highest accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score of 90%. By combining predictions from the three models, the ensemble approach can consistently and accurately address emotion variations. Implementing emotion classification models, individually and in an ensemble format, can improve teacher-student interactions and optimize learning strategies that are responsive to students' emotional needs.

Abstract

This research examines the maintenance and shift of Javanese and other regional languages among wood craftsmen in Tegal Regency, Indonesia. Regional languages are integral to cultural identity, and their retention or shift reflects broader social and cultural dynamics. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The study employs thematic analysis to provide an in-depth understanding of language use patterns. Findings reveal a linguistic dualism in the community. While Indonesian dominates formal situations, reflecting adaptation to broader communication needs, Javanese and other regional languages prevail in daily interactions, indicating the continuity of local cultural traditions. This language shift and maintenance are influenced by social context, education, and work environment factors. The study contributes to our understanding of language ecology in multilingual Indonesian contexts, drawing on Fishman's domain analysis. It highlights how communities navigate between national and regional languages, adapting to different communication needs while preserving cultural identity. These findings have implications for language policy and cultural preservation efforts in Indonesia, particularly in balancing national unity with linguistic diversity.

Abstract

Sekolah Berbudaya Lingkungan (SBL) sebagai salah satu wadah peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan peserta didik memiliki peran penting dalam menyumbang perubahan yang terjadi dalam keluarga. Bagaimana menghargai air bersih, memahami pentingnya penghijauan, memanfaatkan fasilitas sanitasi secara tepat serta mengelola sampah menjadi pupuk tidak terpisahkan dalam upaya peningkatan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Sebagai komponen terkecil dalam masyarakat perubahan yang terjadi dalam keluarga akan memberi pengaruh pada masyarakatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sekolah berbudaya lingkungan dalam perspektif Islam dan untuk mengetahui implementasi sekolah berbudaya lingkungan dalam perspektif Islam di SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa dengan penerapan sekolah berbudaya lingkungan sekolah menjadi bersih dari sampah, tertib dan nyaman sehingga akan tercipta suasana yang kondusif dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran. Diperkuat oleh beberapa hal antara lain: (1) Sekolah berbudaya lingkungan dalam perspektif Islam memiliki karakteristik yang khas, yaitu dengan memasukkan pendekatan keagaamaan; (2) Model pelaksanaan sekolah berbudaya lingkungan di SMAN 4 Pandeglang merujuk pada program adiwiyata yang terdiri dari empat aspek untuk dikelola dengan cermat dan benar yaitu; kebijakan, kurikulum, kegiatan, dan sarana prasarana; dan (3) Implementasi sekolah berbudaya lingkungan dalam perspektif Islam di SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang menggunakan 4 unsur sebagai medianya, yaitu melalui kebijakan, kurikulum, kegiatan, dan sarana prasarana sekolah Environment-cultured school as a means to increase learners’ knowledge and ability plays an important role in contributing to the changes that occur in the family. It deals with how to appreciate clean water, understand the importance of greening, utilize appropriate sanitation facilities as well as manage the waste into fertilizer integral in improving the behavior of healthy and clean life. As the smallest components of society changes in the family will make an impact on society. This study aims to determine the environment-cultured school in the Islamic perspective and to know the Implementation of the School of Environmental cultured in the context of Islam in SMAN 4 Pandeglang. Results of the study show that: (1) environment-cultured school in the perspective of Islam has distinctive characteristics, namely by entering religion approach; (2) model implementation environment-cultured school in SMAN 4 Pandeglang refers Adiwiyata program which consists of four aspects to be managed carefully and correctly namely; policies, curriculum, activities, and infrastructure; and (3) implementation of the environment-cultured school in the context of Islam in SMAN 4 Pandeglang use four elements for media, namely policy, curriculum, activities, and infrastructure.

The subjects of this study were students of Islamic Cultural History, Faculty of Adab and Culture, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University who took Arabic courses during the 2021/2022 academic year. This study employed a questionnaire instrument to collect research data. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to students of the Islamic Cultural History program through Google Form. The results revealed both positive and negative responses related to the implementation of tests using Quizizz as an assessment media. With the use of Quizizz for assessments, 90.9% of students reported taking tests independently. Students generally found the application of Quizizz in their lectures to be enjoyable and moderately challenging. However, some students expressed concerns that Quizizz does not allow for reviewing answers and highlighted the vulnerability of Quizizz usage, particularly for students in remote areas with poor internet connectivity.
