Abstract

This study aims to describe the acceptance of sergeant-level principals (serious but relaxed), the strategies used to obtain acceptance, and the challenges faced. This research approach uses the Grounded Theory Strauss Corbin method with an analysis of the internal views of school residents and the external views of the school environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation in three elementary schools in Mojokerto Regency. The results showed variations in the acceptance rate of sergeant levels, effective strategies used by school principals, and significant challenges faced in the admissions process. These findings provide important insights to improve the effectiveness of new school leadership

Abstract

Background: The agricultural development paradigm, which has shifted evolutionary from traditional agriculture to the current sustainable agriculture stage, has not been able to create prosperity for both farmers and the environment. Since the establishment of this sustainable agriculture paradigm, the back-to-nature movement has not changed the fate of farmers and the environment. This condition indicates that the three pillars/dimensions of sustainable agricultural development have not been successful in economic, sociological, and ecological dimensions, because one of the causes is the role of farmer institutions is not optimal, including not being a role model for its members. The purpose of this study is to strengthen the impact of the implementation of a holistic and integrative agricultural development paradigm through the exemplary role of farmer institutions for its members. Method: method used is descriptive through the Literature Review (SRL) technique approach using several published and unpublished research articles. Some theories used are the history of the evolution of agricultural paradigms in Indonesia starting from the traditional stage, agricultural intensification, agricultural diversification and industrialization, sustainable and inclusive agriculture to the optional holistic and integrative paradigm and the theory of farmer group role models. Findings: The results of this study reveal that the role model factor of farmer group administrators can have implications for the level of farmer participation in following all recommendations. In line with the exemplary role model of farmer group administrators, this evolutionary paradigm shift in agricultural development toward a holistic and integrative one will positively impact the acceleration of improving the welfare of farming communities and their environment. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that the paradigm shift in agricultural development in Indonesia from before the 20th century to the 21st century (sustainable and inclusive agricultural development), including holistic and integrative options, has not been able to alleviate poverty in agriculture. Novelty/Originality of this article: A holistic and integrative sustainable agricultural development paradigm will have a very positive and accelerating impact on poverty alleviation in the agricultural sector if it strengthens the role of exemplary farmer institutions.

Abstract

Program bina desa merupakan salah satu program pemerintah dalam membangun perekonomian desa. Program ini mengambil tema Optimalisasi Peternakan Kambing Perah dan Produk Olahannya dalam rangka terbentuknya Desa Purworejo Sragen sebagai Sentra Susu Kambing. Program pemberdayaan desa binaan yang dilaksanakan di Desa Purworejo Kecamatan Gemolong Kabupaten Sragen. Program Desa Binaan ini didanai oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi. Desa purworejo merupakan desa di Gemolong, Sragen yang memiliki potensi di kambing perah. Kambing perah adalah salah satu komoditas peternakan yang memiliki potensi tinggi untuk dikembangkan, terutama dalam skala peternak rakyat. Metode dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan sosialisasi, workshop, pendampingan, monitoring, dan evaluasi. Target kegiatan ini adalah  semua anggota Kelompok Tani Ternak dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk dengan meningkatnya  0,21/ekor/hari susu yang memenuhi syarat kualitas susu sehat serta memenuhi syarat kualitas susu pasaran. Observasi pasca pelatihan menunjukkan masyarakat telah melakukan prosedur handling susu yakni seperti membersihkan ambing sebelum pemerahan, pengemasan susu kurang dari 2 jam setelah pemerahan, dan prosedur handling yang lain. Hasil yang diinginkan setelah serangkaian program telah selesai dilaksanakan ialah peternak dapat memahami dan mengaplikasikan proses handling susu yang baik dan benar sehingga dapat menghasilkan susu yang aman dikonsumsi dan memiliki harga jual yang cukup di pasaran.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of workload, training, and work discipline on the innovative performance and employee engagement of Yogyakarta City's Regional Revenue Division staff. It also examines how Employee engagement modifies the connection between these factors and innovative performance, addressing gaps in understanding their effects on engagement and innovation. As many as eighty personnel of the Regional Revenue Division of the BPKAD in Yogyakarta City were included in the collection of data for this study, which utilized the Non-Probability sample model as the sample technique. For the purpose of this study, primary data was collected through the administration of questionnaires. This study employs the tools of data analysis, namely Partial Least Square (PLS) is a variance-based structural equation model (SEM) and the software SmartPLS Version IV. The research findings reveal that workload and work discipline does not influence innovative performance, while training positively impacts innovative performance. Workload also has no effect on employee engagement; however, training and work discipline positively influence employee engagement. Furthermore, employee engagement positively affects innovative performance. It mediates the beneficial impact of training on innovative performance, but it does not mediate the association between workload and innovative performance. Employee engagement is not a mediator for the impact of work discipline on innovative performance. This research contributes to human resource management theory by examining how employee engagement mediates the relationships between workload, training, work discipline, and innovative performance. It supports existing literature by highlighting the key role of engagement in linking these factors to innovation outcomes.

Abstract

This service aims to explore a Quranic tutoring program in Dusun Tambak Ukir, focusing on enhancing children's reading skills of the Quran, memorizing daily prayers, and fostering noble character. The initiative implements observations and surveys to gather comprehensive data. Results indicate that the tutoring significantly improves children's fluency in reading the Quran and aids them in memorizing important prayers. Additionally, the program plays a crucial role in character development, instilling values of kindness, respect, and responsibility within the community. By creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, this initiative not only promotes religious education but also strengthens social bonds among participants. The program emphasizes the importance of sustainability to ensure ongoing benefits and to encourage a culture of learning and moral development within the community.

Abstract

This study seeks to explore the impact of Learning Organization on Organizational Innovation, with Knowledge Management and Self-Efficacy examined as mediating variables, focusing specifically on university lecturers in Indonesia. Adopting a quantitative approach, the research utilized a survey method to collect data from 178 participants, selected using the Slovin formula. Data was collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that Learning Organization has a strong and positive effect on Organizational Innovation, both directly and indirectly. Notably, Knowledge Management serves as a partial mediator, enhancing the link between Learning Organization and innovation outcomes. In contrast, Self-Efficacy did not show a statistically significant mediating effect. These findings highlight the critical role of cultivating an organizational culture that promotes ongoing learning and the strategic application of knowledge management practices to foster long-term innovation. The study provides important insights for higher education institutions, particularly in enhancing organizational learning, refining knowledge management systems, and designing initiatives that promote innovation-driven environments.

Abstract

This research explores how ethical leadership and employee ethics influence innovative workplace behavior among office personnel, with psychological counseling serving as a mediating factor. Using a quantitative approach, the technique of saturated sampling is used to include all 192 employees in the study. SmartPLS is used for data analysis. The results indicate that there is no significant impact in relation to innovative work practices, either in terms of ethical leadership or ethical employees. However, Ethical Leadership and Ethical Behavior of Employees significantly and favorably impact psychological well-being. Not only that, but it also has a significant positive impact on innovative work practices and, on the other hand, strengthens the bonds between innovative work practices, ethical leadership, and ethical employees. This highlights the importance of a worker's psychological well-being in fostering innovation and emphasizes the need to strengthen psychological factors to increase employees' ability to innovate in an ethical work environment.

Abstract

Employee performance is a vital aspect in determining the effectiveness and success of an organization, especially in the public sector. This study aims to analyze the effect of work engagement and work motivation on performance through organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). This study uses a quantitative method with a saturated sample technique of 121 employees in the public sector, the analyst uses the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to test the relationship between variables. The findings of the study indicate that work engagement has a positive and significant effect on performance, but not significant on OCB. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on performance and OCB. OCB has a positive and significant effect on performance. OCB cannot be a mediating role between work engagement and performance. However, it can be a mediating role between work motivation and performance. The implications of these findings suggest that organizations need to pay more attention to work motivation factors such as incentives, career development, and a supportive work environment, which can encourage higher OCB behavior, which ultimately contributes to improving overall employee performance. While work engagement has a direct impact on performance, organizations also need to find ways to enhance its impact on OCB to foster a more collaborative and productive work culture

Abstract

This study aims to explain the cosmopolitan of Islam and the existence of pesantren that related to the preservation of Islamic traditions in coastal communities. The implementation of Islamic values and teachings that are tolerant of local culture and wisdom, of course, is the main concern of pesantren in building social cohesiveness. This social research uses qualitative methods with constructivism paradigm. Data mining was carried out through in-depth interviews plus document reviews or literature studies related to the object of research. The results showed that the pesantren tradition had deep roots in the northern coastal community of Java, such as the Pangwiwahan, Muludan, Manaqiban ceremonies and the rituals of reading Tahlilan /Yasinan and Shalawatan which dominated the traditional ceremonies like Slametan or Kenduren (local traditions). This tradition seems to be influenced by the characteristics of cosmopolitan Islam which has long developed in coastal communities of Java, especially in the bandar environment. The cosmopolitanism culture is characterized by a fluid atmosphere of communication, openness to outsiders and hospitality. So, in the development of this cosmopolitanism character, it also forms a pluralistic social formation in urban settlements, where each other respects and holds the same values, namely tepo selira. The formation of the pattern and character of the community is not spared because of the influence of the bandar’s culture. That bandar and ports are not merely places of exchange or entry and exit of goods and people. In fact, there is also cultural contact, the exchange of ideas and the intersection of the lifestyles of actors from various nations with different backgrounds. Because the ability to adapt to all differences and be selective about the chosen novelty, it is proven that the pesantren develops dynamically, but still has a strong influence among the supporting community.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap berkendara aman melalui pelatihan servis berkala sepeda motor matic, serta edukasi safety riding. Sasaran kegiatan adalah 18 pemudi di Kelurahan Tunjungsekar, Kota Malang. Metode yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan One Group Pre-test & Post-test, meliputi observasi praktik dan pengisian kuesioner. Hasil menunjukkan 67% peserta berada pada kategori keterampilan “baik” dan 33% “cukup”, disertai peningkatan signifikan kesadaran keselamatan berkendara. Manfaat nyata yang dirasakan masyarakat meliputi: kemampuan melakukan perawatan sepeda motor secara mandiri, pemahaman prinsip berkendara aman, dan peningkatan disiplin berlalu lintas yang berpotensi menurunkan resiko kecelakaan. Pendekatan integratif antara pelatihan teknis dan edukasi keselamatan ini membuktikan efektivitasnya dalam memberdayakan masyarakat, khususnya pengendara perempuan, sehingga mendukung tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan di bidang keselamatan transportasi dan pendidikan vokasi.
